Review of The Sari Beach 3*

I seriously don't normally write bad reviews but this time I was compelled to do so. My husband and I booked for 5 nights but had no choice but to transfer to Bali Garden Beach Resort (which was awesome) after the first night. 1. The rooms at your hotel for the price point are extremely worn and tired. 2. When a hotel guest sends back towels that are dirty and are then sent more dirty towels with holes and black numbers written in marker on them, there is something seriously …wrong in house keeping. 3. You have a serious problem with a sewerage smell after flushing the toilets (while I have experienced this in many hotels in Bali and it's a difficult problem to fix I have never had it as bad as this before) Also the solution of sending house keeping in to spray over the top of the smell with a can of perfume was almost laughable and left us unable to even stay in the room. 4. Inadequate aircon and no hot water thus difficult to shower. 5. When requesting a taxi, being told by reception 'Sorry no driver available' was also ridiculous. A guest should not have to present options to the reception. Unfriendly from the time we checked in. Basically the place is very old and falling apart with a serious lack of maintenance and improvements. You guys have serious work to do on both service and are desperately in need of new towels, and also need to hire a full time maintenance staffer until your property is up to scratch. Disappointing and it's such a shame since it is in a great location on the beach. Definitely not recommending this to anyone. Some pics attached below.
