I have just stayed 2 weeks at the Melasti and absolutely loved it … the staff are all awesome, friendly and very helpful. Our room was cleaned daily by a beautiful man named Wayan who couldn’t do enough for us. We stayed superior room in the older part which still has Balinese furniture not western and loved it. Breakfast is basic but filling and varies each day. Location at the back is beach and loved going there every afternoon to “ Angga Bar “ to watch sunset. And out front go right to garlic lane way. Go left to Seminyak. Very central. Personally great value for the money not 5 star but fir value good 3

The park looks fantastic on the internet, It is so dangerous with metal broken everywhere. Staff were nice but we choose the hotel so it would be child friendly.

Absolute disgrace! trying to cancel and getting told it was cancelled and fee waived by booking. Com when it isn't. Then being told I have to pay a night to cancel so I have. Now being told I have to pay full price to cancel. Have blocked my card, so jam it. This is ridiculous and I will make sure nothing nice is said about this place cos the service I have had so far is beyond ridiculous.

Well located, the newer pool view room was good for the price. The pool would've made more money over the swim up bar with more upbeat music which is not a huge deal but more the way I would focus my management if involved. Breakfast could be more consistent but still good for the price. In summary a nice hotel with nice pools worth the money.

While the rooms are dated and in some cases need upgrading, they are comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet is tolerable and I had no issue with it. There are so many ways you can cook an egg. The big plus is location, which what will bring me back.

No star rating. I want to give ⭐ rating in minus The worst service they provide. Wifi was not working at all. Worst food available. Restaurant open 24hrs but food quality was so bad no one can eat… We ordered pasta once and its with tomato sause… And no taste… I will never recommend any one to stay in melasti… Room was so dirty. Mop was so dirty that makes floor dirty and so much dirt sticks on the foot inside the room Bathroom n toilet were stincking like a garbage Its better to sell half of the property and try to maintain the resort properly from that money…

The reason TIC BALI guests love stay at this hotel is the location at a really great place. near the beach, hotel and restaurants.

We have stayed here 3 times. Rooms are big and vary from older style to new. Some rooms are quite old and a bit dated. The breakfast buffet is limited but fine unless you are fussy. I would say email them to ensure your bedding is correct in the room as they gave us 2 singles instead of a double, they did move us after 1 night. The grounds are big with 3 pools and 2 swim up bars. Bar snacks are very small and just a snack. Room service is good and cheap.

Room was clean but the bead was hard and it made it a tough night's sleep. The bathroom is strange as it is all glass and anyone in the room can see you using the bathroom. However staff were amazing and the restaurant fantastic.

2 stars only for the room who are large. Bath room is almost not functional, staff came several times to try to repair, no success. 1 key per room whatever the number of guess: so if you go out alone, you mate is locked in the room… lucky that we did not get a fire. Low pressure on thw shower. Staff at the lobby should really improve their English. Cleanliness of pool is some how unsafe. Heavy music during the day, making difficult to relax. Charging you the full stay at check-in time, so you can't leave for another hotel and get a refund.

Stayed here 2 years ago and loved it staff were fantastic, food was great room services 24/7 bar, coming back to stay in August can’t wait.

Worst breakfast, Leakey air conditioning, Run down. Did not receive room booked. Cheap and depressing.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was neat and the staff helpful and friendly. Tip: get own guide and transport, they tend to over charge at the resort.

If you want to stay in a hotel that actually makes you feel like you are in Bali, stay at the Melasti. No it's not pristine and sanitised looking like all the other resorts in Legian but all those got built within the last 5 years. The Melasti has been there since the 80s and has been refurbished quite recently. It has got charm and character. The gardens are wonderful and so well kept. The pool bar is awesome. The rooms are clean and very comfy. Huge comfy bed. Most importantly, the staff is the best. Never intrusive but always helpful, they will make your stay, especially if you want to organise a tour. The spa at the front of the hotel is another highlight. Great range of treatment and very professional staff. Will be back for a 3rd stay.

The staff are awesome, the grounds and gardens are cleaned everyday and so was our room, the pools are very clean, food was average. REALLY happy with out stay.

I stayed at the Melasti for 5 nights from the 11th of February with the recommendation from a friend well I was put in the old part of melasti in a deluxe room the room was large and clean but no hot water for 3 days and half a day no water at all I asked to be moved into the new section to no avail no rooms left as everyone asked to be moved as well breakfast diluted fruit juice choice of apple or orange it was terrible a choice of 2 cereals corn flakes and chocolate corn flakes then the hot food chicken nuggets fried rice or noodles and potatoes sometimes tiny dried pancakes there was an egg station but trying to find the cook to make something was a challenge their restaurant was empty for both lunch and dinner wonder why some staff were friendly others not so I Do not recommend staying at this resort.

The hotel looks tired but I could not fault how tidy and clean our rooms were and the gardens. Pools were fantastic. Food was great. If you looking for a comfortable stay this a great place. Staff were so helpful and very friendly.

Nice in the new section, but pool bar closes way too early at 6:30 pm and then you either have to go to the restaurant to drink or buy your own. Staff are not very good at English or understanding it.

The hotel is definitely a little 'tired'. Rooms are great size but musty through damp. Aircon was fine. Showers were hit and miss. Breakfast and other meals were OK but nothing special that's for sure. Pools were clean but very deep so unless you're 6ft you won't be able to enjoy standing in them. The other thing was the amount of flies around. Very annoying and we didn't experience the same at restaurants or other resorts nearby so definitely an issue for the hotel. There was little point having a resort near the beach as the beach was disgusting with amount of Trash that washes up every day. Tonnes of it that happens very regularly every day we were there you couldn't walk on the beach on in the water without being surrounded. A bigger issue for the island than just hotel but it's gotta start somewhere. The price paid is a lot cheapr than nearby 5 stat resorts so we didn't expect same quality.

Apa highly recommended hotel ini downtown Kuta. Access to the shopping center and Kuta beach is very close.

We come every year. Love the staff and the position. Rooms still need a bit of an overhaul but otherwise great.

Rooms lovely pools amazing service staff so friendly and helpful breaky was okay aswell close to everything will definitely come back only down was we were woken at 7 am every single morning by a family swimming at 7 am each morning pool actually opens at 9 am even asked after the second morning that it wasn't ideal but yep we were woken again now up early and a 11 pm flight with a 4 year old 3 mornings straight not to great.

Run down and needs updating. Saying that we had a huge room and still had a great holiday. Breakfast was very average and did not eat at dinner time at restaurant. Pool area good and on beach front. Lots of restaurants, shops and bars nearby.

Standard rooms are quiet old. Internet is very poor but on the up side, breakfast is very nice with a variety of foods. Big pool has seen better days but loved it anyways.

Have had a fabulous time at the Melasti beautiful friendly helpful staff great cocktails, kids love the pool there is 3. We are in the cottage suite room which is huge. Disappointing to hear the bad reviews we love it here and will definitely be back!

The only good thing about the place is location. The staff are lovely and always say hello when they pass you. First 2 night the wind was really bad and a something on the roof had come loose so was banging all night. So complained and was moved to a cottage suite which was an upgrade from our deluxe room so had to pay an extra $50 at the time we thought wasn't too bad. At the front of the cottage is nice but at the back is a horror story. I have pictures and a video. Lots of rubbish and rubble. Broken pipes with all different colors of liquids coming out with different smells. Most of the staff use it has a cut through so have to keep curtains drawn at all times. We think it could be a staff room can hear them. But the aircon works lol. The smallest and oldest fridge I have ever seen and even that stopped working but was fixed for how long god knows. Breakfast well unless you like eggs you are stuffed. You could live on toast though. We had 1 beer 1 sprite fish and chips chicken nuggets while sat at the pool bar very average cafe food came to $20. On checking out. They put an $10 room service charge on top. So be a ware of food at the pool bar what a rip off disgusting. Would we stay again noooo chance. So many nice hotels in the area.

Overall score average at best. Outdated in dyer need of a make over. I won't be back-do yourself a favour spend a few extra $100's and stay at the Padmaresort. The swimming pools adult and family are far from tranquil, the water features are constant obnoxious noise. I don't consider children having fun noise, it's sweet I encourage it. Service is okay-nothing to write home about. Drink prices are the same as home (AUD) you can rack a bill up pretty quick, I recommend following the happy hours around for the 50% discount at numerous bars in the resort. Bedrooms — I can only speak for the superior room. I have been told the bathrooms are the same in all rooms, economy to deluxe. They consist of an old style shower over bath, with toilet in the one small room. It's small and hard to maneuver in. It really irritated me, I'm small and only 28. I didn't like that my mother in-law whom is 50 had to risk slipping head over turkey everytime she wanted to shower. The beds where hard and very uncomfortable, lucky massage cheap. They do not offer enough amenities in the rooms, shampoo came in 20ml bottles, in reality it's not enough to wash the squirrel watching me shower through the window. Complimentary water is scarce it comes in a miniscule glass bottle, barely enough to rehydrate your dying sea monkey from the 90's. There are activities scheduled, not all are free and on a few occasions it just didn't go ahead. You'll find them on the website.

Been there with parents… reasonable price… tidy… ambient atmosphere… located near the beach… breakfast is good, although limited choices are on menu… they provide bicycle on complementary.

Environmental friendly resort. Nice facilities.

Had a wonderful time at this resort. We stayed in the renovated rooms are they were really nice, and cool! Water pressure in the shower wasn't the best though. The breakfast buffet was beautiful but feel it needs a bigger variety of food. The resteraunt menu and food was lovely. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. All staff we came across always said hello, and they went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. Never had a problem with theft, we had stuff in the safe and I also left my handbag in the room numerous times and nothing was touched.
I hear there are more plans for renovations, I feel this would improve the resort immensely as it is very outdated.
All in all, a wonderful stay. For a 3 star hotel, I thought it was very nice.

A beautiful beach, nice place to hang out. Lots of cafe nearby. But the beach can be very crowded sometimes.

Not bad for the price. We paid to upgrade and the room was massive. Third floor is quite warm even with the air con, we moved down to the second floor and it stayed cool there. Pool bar is great too also close access to the beach.

This resort is in need of upgrade! Nothing works! You get what you pay for!

Spent 9 Days with full family, 4 adults and 4 grand children in mid May and stayed in the family suites (109/110), usually my wife and myself stay at the deluxe rooms near oval pool and have done for the last 12 or so stays. Nothing different the staff, whether it was cleaning, garden or kitchen staff were always friendly and helpful. To Rita and her management staff a BIG thank you for a very pleasant stay and will see again next year, unfortunately without the grandchildren. If any one is looking for a hotel that can cater for family holidays then the family suites would be ideal as they have a dividing door to each room but can be locked for your own privacy if required. The gardens are a credit to the staff and there is play ground, which my grandchildren played for hours down near the beach. Hope this review will help holiday makers in some way. Sorry for the late review!
