Good hotel with good amenities. Staffs are friendly. Only negative is the staircase to access the lobby — old and very gloomy not suitable for elderly.

Superb Hotel… I visited this hotel 4 times… And it's superb… Service is fast… People are kind… Lovely service… Best Hotel.

I booked a deluxe room and I wrongly booked for March instead of February and I was going to take my flight to Mumbai and I realized the booking was wrong. I also was expecting an airport transfer to the hotel but thanks to the excellent services by the hotel staff they able make the quick changes and arranged airport transfer too. The rooms were clean and the staffs were extremely helpful. We got a bigger room on the 2nd day. Great location. Reasonably priced. Breakfast can be improved.

Excellent. I booked a Superior Room through MMT and got an email from the hotel to confirm my stay. I confirmed the same over telephone. Reached Hotel in an hour from Airport. Location of the hotel is very nice. 3 Km from Gateway of India and 4-5 km from Nariman Point. Outer look of the hotel will remind you a heritage old building but as soon as enter the hotel you will find totally different environment full of amenities. Staff are very cooperative and welcomed me with water, tea and snacks. Only one thing for which you may disappoint is the space of room which is very small. Since I had to attend a meeting it wasn't any problem for me. Cleanliness and hygiene is of very highly standard. No restaurant, hence you will have to make call for food and it will be served to you. Dinning area is compact but well managed. Overall it is a nice hotel to stay.

The experience can be summarized as: They mention Parking, but what they really mean is a Pay & Park nearby. The room I got was 8ft by 6ft, which isn't evident from the pictures. One of my colleagues, who is a localite, helped me get to the place and they forbade her to enter my room because of 'Policies' regarding unmarried couples. I ended up storming out with no refund. Oh and they charged my Credit Card without prior information, despite the pay with cash option that I had availed. Long story short: BEWARE.

Great place for this range of prices & very friendly staff. The hotel offers (2018) two types of rooms: small room for Rs. 2500 and deluxe room for Rs. 2900. All are clean and with AC. Finding something better in Mumbai for this price is almost impossible. Take it, and book in advance.

Small, clean hotel near shops, restaurants, train station and taxis. The staff are helpful and friendly. Will definitely recommend it to people wanting clean, safe and reasonably priced accommodation.

Excellent hotel at very reasonable price for Mumbai. Staff were superb — friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast included. No evening meal but menu available and staff will order for you and provide all cutlery etc. 24 hour laundry service available. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable. And only a 30 minute walk to down town Mumbai and many of the sights. Recommended.

First day in Mumbai. Staff accommodating. Rooms still not ready but have Wi-Fi and complementary breakfast. More later peeps, still recovering from 12 hr trip from SA.

Everything available, except Space. With 2 People it gets quite tight.

Nice hotel, good location. Rooms are small but actually the cleanest we saw in India. Stuff was helpful, got free water and snacks when we arrived. Also, they treated us to some masala tea after we checked our and were waiting for taxi.

Its walking distance from CST Railway station p dmello road exit. Average hotel. Not for long stays or families. Good for business trips or lone trip.

I understand this is part of a small chain of Hotels. I stayed 20 days and loved it. I had the feeling everyone here were working hard to please the guests, Honestly, they should promote the entire staff to a bigger hotel, Breakfast light eggs & tasty. With toast. Staff could not get any better. Outside entrance is not impressive. But once inside, its clean, and efficiently run, and walking distance to Crawford Market shopping. Promote the boss and Staff. They are all excellent. I've stayed in ultra pricey rooms elsewhere, but, Hemond & staff moves this hotel way up in ranking.

Very comfortable, well maintained hotel at extremely affordable price. The only downside is, the part of town in which the property is located, the surrounding area and the approach to the hotel arent that nice but these points are more than overcome once you step inside. The staff is very professional and the rooms are spacious.

Value for money at Rs 3000 all incl. Location is decent, rooms are too tiny for anything other than sleeping.

Eh… after we reserved, we received an email saying "marriage license verification" may be necessary. The place kind of smells. One of the beds in our room had a massive ant infestation. The street is very busy and the location isn't exactly prime. Rooms are overpriced. Better options elsewhere!

Location wise. Near to CST and Masjid station. Value for money. Friendly staff.

Beautiful varanda well decorated & maintained, managements are also cooperative budget hotel. Room bathroom well maintained. Good location, Veg non Veg food also available nearby.

We had a lovely stay. Front desk staff were friendly and welcoming and spoke very good English. Room was clean and spacious — — the safe in the cupboard was a nice touch. Complimentary breakfast was perfect. We had boiled eggs and toast and jam with some chai, and it was exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend this hotel.

Not senior citizens friendly, no restaurant. You have to order your food from outside to keep hunger pains away. However, great location, extremely well mannered staff. Helping reception desk. Hotel's policy doesn't allow visitors in guests' rooms, also you may be asked to prove your relationship if two of you from the opposite sec intend to share single room. Ouch. That's so moral policing kind of policy.

Stayed in a "deluxe" room for a night. It's just a normal hotel having both positives and negatives. Good things first: 1. Location. Also, there are decent hotels for veg and non veg "Indian" food in ground floor. 2. Quite clean. Though I could find hair strand on bed, I am ignoring it as there is severe water scarcity in Mumbai as of now. Can't recall anything else. Coming to negatives: 1. As complained in other reviews, the hotel is next to some bar which plays blaring music. Though it wasn't too loud in my room, it would be worse in adjacent rooms. I could hear it till 12 in the night after which I fell asleep. 2. Geyser for hot water to take bath is too small. In fact it is the one generally used for hot drinking water. It just gives a mug of hot water at a time and takes 5mins for the next one.

Though rooms are quiet small, the overall experience was awesome. It's great especially for solo travellers. Their free evening tea/coffee in the lobby and massaging machines were a pleasant surprise. The manager at the reception was well behaved and a nice person to talk to. He even guided me to few local places and best ways to travel around. Will visit them again, soon.

We stayed at Hotel Elphinstone in the standard room (called superior here) for two nights. It was very clean, hot water available all the time, Wi-Fi working fine, A/C. There were two separate beds — we would prefer one double but the room is so small I guess it would be very difficult to fit. There is no window, but it is actually an advantage as you don't hear outside's traffic. There is a party pub downstairs, so you will hear the music half of the night (we were there on Thursday and Friday).

Friendly staff, clean tiny rooms without windows. What really annoyed: All hotel rooms are on one floor and they all are immediately above a club, which played loud music until 1 a. M. Even on Sunday on Monday! The bass was so loud, the floor was vibrating, and that's not exaggerated! If you know you're not going to sleep before 1 a. M. You get good value for your money. If you want to go to sleep earlier, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Run down hotel near the old historical port that is being filled up in way of a container terminal. Hotel could have some potential as it is in an old colonial building with beautiful architecture. Rooms are small, bot a/c and non a/c as well as with or without bathroom. Seems to do brisk business as many times it is full. Stayed there on a few occasions out of necessity. Staff is friendly and honest. Rooms are relatively clean.
