Review of Le Meridien Mahabaleshwar Resort & Spa 5*

One of the first things you'll notice about this place is how courtious the staff is. Everyone you interact with make you feel pampered to say the least. Next and what for me is the best feature of this place is how it is one with the forest. It is one of the few places I've seen where the place, villas and roads within were all built around the forest rather than vice-versa. You will find branches right en route to your villa and instead of chopping down the branch like almost every other place would they just padded the branch area and you have to make sure you don't hit it. I loved that. The have a temperature controlled "infinity" pool but it's not really that since the greenery around the pool is pretty ever present (which for me is a good thing). They do have loads of activities not just for adults but for kids as well. The only real negative I'd say was the food to price ratio. The food (lunch and dinner) doesn't really compliment the place. But that being said, the breakfast totally makes up for it! Now I'm one of those ppl who on their trips looks for budget places to stay over, so for me paying 15k (with gst) for a night and free breakfast was a really big deal. But you know what; I loved it! It is something I'd recommend you to do at least once in a while. All an all an excellent place to unwind! Special mention to (Rishi; GM of this place and Sujoy). They took out time to not just speak to us but also converse with us about the place and travel stories in general, in what seemed like a small amount of time but was actually over an hour.
