This place is only 600 meters away from Ghrishneshwar Jyotirling temple. Easy approch. Rooms are big and good. Hot and cold water available. You can see the entrance of Ellora caves from the balcony. Mr. Deepesh owner of the property is very supportive and cooperative. Food is very good and tasty. Absolutely homely feeling. Thanks to Mr. Deepesh.

One of Unesco world heritage sites in India. Carved out of mountain it is vast and grand. There are more than 40+ caves. Spread across a large area it will take more than 2-3 hours to explore and appreciate the beauty of this place. These are the heritage place that makes us proud about our rich past. Do take your children to show these places. What we read in general knowledge, can see here it in real.

Stunning place, what a history. About 1500 years of history. The paintings and architecture cannot be imagined even in today's modern construction. Please consider to stay here for atleast a week.

The Kailash temple in Verul is simply amazing piece of architecture. The carve out the temple from one stone, from top to the bottom in the ancient times is just incredible. The architect and his crew must have all the details thought out in their heads prior to marking the first chisel blow. Just great. Simply awesome.

Nice place to visit… The temple in the center is the best one to visit… Other cavea give you a best experience… Sometimes it can be wasting your time to visit all caves… So info. Should be taken…

Ellora Caves These 34 monasteries and temples, extending over more than 2 km, were dug side by side in the wall of a high basalt cliff, not far from Aurangabad, in Maharashtra. Ellora, with its uninterrupted sequence of monuments dating from A. D. 600 to 1000, brings the civilization of ancient India to life. Not only is the Ellora complex a unique artistic creation and a technological exploit but, with its sanctuaries devoted to Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism, it illustrates the spirit of tolerance that was characteristic of ancient India.

In total of 48 caves Cave no. 15 the Kailasa Temple is simply a beautiful temple with beautiful carvings and sculptures all the way round the temple. I'm not that good to explain the beauty of all those caves, their architecture and their past, I hope I will visit this place again. But, please take some care about this otherwise we gonna talk about this as a history that India is such a place that you haven't seen places like we seen before.

Great Place. Good time. Amazing skill. Long drive. Connectivity could improve. Roads were not so great. To reach the place but the place is worth the effort.

Amazing and excellent architecture and sculpture. Part of our history. Must visit once. It will take whole day to visit all the 34 caves. Excellent stone work. Avoid going in summer season.

Well worth are completed, the 16-cave recommended in the afternoon, go inside, the sun inside the light is quite good.

A unique place of its kind.

Impressive, advisable to go from early as they are 34 caves and the sun is relentless, takes about three hours to tour. 500 Rupees entry for foreigners, it is better to choose a rikshaw to take you there and fix the price.

As I of the Ellora Caves is the favorite, I don't think here is not to over India.

They are not really caves, they are excavations made by emptying the rock from the top and towards the base, forming a wonderful set of temples.

Ellora Caves
Since 1983, the cave system (Marat वेरूळची लेणी) and numerous castles of Prichislenyjunesko to World Heritage (1). The creation of the caves dates from about VI to the 9th century of our era. Of the 34 Caves of Ellora, 12 caves in the South — Buddhist, 17 in the center are dedicated to Hindu gods, five caves to the north — Dzhajnskie. According to biologist, the most wonderful of temples is "Kailas", a magnificent, beautifully preserved specimen of Dravidicheskogo architecture, one of the precious monuments of India. The temple is located deep in the yard, carved in a solid rock. In the granite shed, the colossal statues of Shiva, Vishnu and others are carved in stone. Behind this weight is a large statue depicting the goddess of Lakshmi, lying on the lotus colours and surrounded by elephants. At the end of the yard, on the south and north side, on a giant elephant. Huge sizes of elephants, lions, vultures in different positions surround the temple. The temple itself, although dedicated to the Shiva, is filled in with the statues of Vishnu and other gods.

In my view, this place is more interesting than the Taj Mahal and many other attractions in India. It's best to stop at Ellora for a few days.
