Monkey Mind Hostel

Amazing experience! The hostel was neat and well-maintained. The staff members were very helpful and always ready to assist. I felt safe and relaxed throughout my stay. Will definitely visit again🌴🌊

Monkey Mind Hostel is a vibrant and comfortable hostel perfect for travelers and backpackers. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the overall atmosphere is friendly and lively. The staff is very helpful and welcoming, making your stay memorable. The hostel provides shared kitchen, common areas, and entertainment facilities. Its location is convenient, giving easy access to nearby attractions. For a budget-friendly and fun stay in Goa or any city, Monkey Mind Hostel is a great choice.

No amenities, poor rooms, prices are also not justified as per the room qualities, zero socialising but the food is great I mean the TEA and Coffee.

If you're on a tight budget and need a basic place to stay near Madgaon Railway Station, this hostel is a workable option. The rooms are very simple and not fancy, and the cupboards are quite old and some are broken. The bathrooms are shared/common, so don’t expect much privacy or premium facilities. You can find separate female dormitory.
On the plus side, you can use the kitchen to cook your own meals, which is convenient for longer stays. The staff is friendly and helpful. The biggest advantage is the location, it’s very close to Madgaon Railway Station, making it easy for travellers.
Overall, it’s suitable only if you’re looking for a cheap, no-frills stay and don’t mind basic amenities.

This is a hostel with all good facilities. Expesially I liked the shared kitchen which has good facilities to cook your own food. Bathrooms had hot showerwater so I enjoyed my showers.
Staff was friendly and helpfull and if I ever come back to Margao I want to stay at this hostel!

Best place for those wo travel solo, and price is also reasonable. You will meet strangers all around the world. They don't serve proper meals just breakfast and very clean and hygienic rooms as well as toilets. And the main part you are in goa you can do whatever you want to but take a consent form the caretaker or the service boy form the hostel. I had a wonderful experience I have stayed 2 days. Overall a great experience.

This was by far the worst stay I’ve ever had. The room was completely unhygienic — filled with unwanted, disgusting things lying around. The extra bed they provided was extremely cheap, dirty, and uncomfortable. There was no water in the washroom, and the entire place had a strong stinky smell that made it impossible to stay for long.
The owner clearly doesn’t care about cleanliness or guests’ comfort. When I tried to complain, they were totally unresponsive and careless. The place looks nothing like the photos online — it’s filthy, mismanaged, and feels unsafe.
If you value your health, peace, or basic hygiene, avoid this hostel at all costs!

Hostel was okay okay. But bathroom wasn't clean, specially ground floor toilet. And kitchen's sink was problematic, there water doesn't pass in the sink. Staff was nice.

One of the worst hostels for young travelers — despite booking a dormitory, there wasn’t a single young person staying there. The atmosphere was dull and unwelcoming, with no sense of community or social vibe. The facilities were poorly maintained, cleanliness standards were low, and the overall experience was disappointing for what was offered. And we checked out after the very 10 minutes.

The worst experience no hygiene maintained,
Please dont book here worst Hostel you will get good hostel in the same pricing.

Best hostel in goa.
I stayed here for a month its the best hostel all over goa very neat and tidy.
5 mins away by walk from railways.
Must stay here if u come here friendly staff.

We booked beds in AC female dormitory, cupboards were broken and bathrooms were not clean. Not a great place for ladies.

The place was total disappointment for ladies. The washroom was not at all clean. No seperate washroom for males and females.

I had a mediocre stay at Monkey Mind hostel during the off-season in June. While the dorm beds were adequate, the pillow was uncomfortably firm and left me with neck pain the next morning. A power outage lasting about an hour in the middle of the night made the room unbearably hot due to the lack of backup power.
The atmosphere was underwhelming, though this is largely due to Madgaon not being a major tourist hub, which naturally affects the type of travelers who pass through. The hostel does offer a well-stocked kitchen, but many of the utensils were in poor condition and needed better cleaning.
The main advantage is its proximity to Madgaon railway station, making it convenient for transit. Next time, I'll skip staying here and head straight to Cancona by train, where the backpacker accommodation options are significantly better.

Very very underrated! If I ever visit Goa, I would stay here. 500/ — per person (AC Room)
They have kitchen where u can cook.
Staffs are very very friendly.

Near to railway station & out side view was good & other things are average.

The owner intentionally disconnects the Wi-Fi through the settings, pretending it’s available but with slow speeds. Charging 16k for 3 days for 6 people without providing basic Wi-Fi is highly concerning.
