I stayed here for 3 days and had the most splendid time. Beautiful place bursting with personality and the cherry on the cake is that it’s in Panjim city, which bursts with culture. The place is pocket friendly and hygienic run by a family who is friendly and helpful. I enthusiastically recommend this place if you’re looking for some quiet time in a beautiful part of Goa which is only 20-30 mins away from the beach side!

Clean and spacious rooms, a terrace with a lovely city view and chilled music and very helpful and polite staff makes this place great for any sort of holiday in Goa. I totally recommend it.

Located in fontainhas, the old Latin quarter of Panjim, Alphonso Guest House is a delightful place to stay. Every care is taken to ensure that guests enjoy their visit. From the beauty of the exterior and the lovely terrace garden to the comfortable clean rooms and excellent service — it feels quite special. We have stayed with Jeanette and Clifton many times and recommend friends to do likewise because they will always take the trouble to help guests to make the best use of their time in Panjim. So, thank you both for your warm welcomes and excellent advice over the years. Looking forward to seeing you next year!

Loved this guest house. Madame Afonso is a lovely host, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Every morning I could have coffee and breakfast on the calm, beautiful rooftop patio. All the staff were super friendly, they helped arrange for a taxi to give me a tour of north Goa one day and to and from the airport. Would absolutely stay here again.

It's a home away from home. Jeanette is very helpful and guided us to the right tourist spots in Goa. The guest house is located in the perfect Fontainhas — an old Latin Quarter in Panjim. The guest house is immaculately clean and the area is very quiet. It is very convenient to travel to most parts of Goa. I definitely look forward to staying here again.

I visited this place a month ago and absolutely loved it. It was very clean and amazingly managed. The interaction with the hosts was terrific and they even helped me book a cab to airport by 5 in the morning.

I was in this guest house two weeks ago with two friends. It's really a beautiful guest house, managed in an excellent way by Mrs. Jeanette and Clifton, who speaks a lot of languages. The rooms are comfortable and clean. A delicious and generous breakfast is served in a charming terrace. The house, in portuguese colonial style, is decorated in pleasant and welcoming way. The historic centre of Panaji is within walking distance and Mrs. Jeanette provides allthe desired services. Really excellent!

An old world Goan Guesthouse, in the city centre, fitted with modern facilities. Guests are cared well by the lady and son duo who will surprise you with the local knowledge and sightseeing tips. Continental Breakfast is on the rooftop overlooking the church. A resident cat is quite interested in the guests as well.

This is a nice cozy place to stay at, right in the heart of the the Panjim city, the owner is a warm welcoming lady always ready to host you. A must stay place, dodging the big hotels, if you are staying in this part of the city.

It was a great stay at Afonso. Its located in the heart of panjim, walkable distance to places like panjim church, Miramur beach and market. Hospitality was great, its moreover a HOME than a HOTEL. I would love to visit the plae again.

Nice place, but Spartan rooms. Value for money OK. Really nice roof terrace. Staff not very warm. Check-out at 09:00 (!? ). Location great, lots of nice things around and bus station at 5 mins walk. Nice city.

Best place ever! helpful and kind people.

My fiance and I stayed here and it was wonderful and we will never forget their hospitality! We had a bit of a motor bike accident and we stopped here (we didn't even have a room at this hotel) and the people helped us get cleaned up and bandaged from our accident. We ended up getting a room for 2 nights and the staff was fantastic! They got us bandages and washed our clothes. There is a special place in our hearts for the generosity that the staff showed us! We highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Goa! If you are a budget traveler, it is worth the extra cost.
