The main highlight is the host. Nelson, Arun and Prashant are super friendly and make you feel comfortable and ensure you feel safe. The dorms are clean and the hostel is really close to the Palolem beach. They also have yoga sessions in the morning and other planned events or parties to keep the travellers engaged. The standard of service provided here is absolutely worth it.

If you're looking for warmth, coziness, and comfort then the rainbow lining is the best hostel in Palolem for you. I had the most wonderful time during my stay, all thanks to the ace team at Rainbow Lining. They are welcoming and kind and ensure that you feel right at home.
Scrumptious breakfast, comfortable and spacious dorms, neatness of the hostel are just a few highlights. It is located at 4 minutes walking distance from the beach and also has plenty of eateries and shops at a stone throw distance. Despite this, it is away from the hustle and bustle and maintains a calm vibe,
I had a great time interacting with two of the hosts, Ayumi and Vinu. Ayumi is empathetic and although she is learning English, you will never feel that there is a gap in the conversation. Vinu is a brilliant artist and you have to see his creations. He was kind enough to let me have one of his handmade stickers. I couldn't speak much with Nelson since he was traveling, but even in the limited exchanges, he made me feel welcomed.
I met many other solo travelers, exchanged travel stories, learned how to play UNO and discovered goa with them.

Ants all over the bed, bugs on the wall and bugs in the sink. In response to Lizzie Johnson’s bad review of this hostel, I’d like to share these photos of our room and bathroom. The staff at Rainbow Lining seems to think this is just “a few flies and an ant” and that we are ridiculous for complaining about this. The bugs were even in our beds. The “team member cleaning the room right in front of us” consisted of the cleaner barging into the room without knocking, then sweeping the floor in one straight line rather than the entire floor. I think you, sir, are the ignorant one. We are perfectly aware of the cancellation policy. We were simply asking you to work with us to figure something out. You weren’t willing to help us at all. I’ve worked in a hostel. I know what’s possible to do in the system, and I know that it’s possible to help accommodate customers when they make a mistake on their booking. We will never be returning to this hostel and we wouldn’t recommend the hostel to anyone.

Brilliant hostel, best I've stayed in since arriving in India over 3 months ago! Clean, great location, comfortable, brilliant staff and the best breakfasts (every day is different). I went for 2 days and stayed for 2 weeks. Trust me it's very hard to leave! If you're considering coming to Palolem, this is the place to be.

Cheap, clean, close to the beach, great staff! Easy to meet other backpackers. What more to wish for?

I highly recommend this beautiful hostel! The owners are so nice and chilled, the location is perfect. It`s so close to the beach but still quiet enough to have a very good sleep at night in the comfortable big, new & very clean bedrooms. You get the best breakfast here, even me as a vegan! I never expected that to be soooo amazing! Thank you so much!

Rainbow Linings is a great hostel with a lovely staff! They serve up a delicious and different breakfast every morning paired with a spicy black tea (those on the banana pancake trail know how important this is! ) for free and one can choose between the AC or nonAC dorms, both with lamp/outlet and privacy curtains for every bunk, and hot water showers. They keep the rooms exceptionally clean and are always friendly. A little pricey for us at $9/bed (AC), but that’s India. We liked the morning yoga and hope they continue it. Simple facility, no strict curfew hours, reasonable 10am checkout, use of kitchen ok, reasonable price for laundry (16r/item).

We stayed here for the New Year and it was one of the best hostel's we've stayed at in India! Nelson and his brother create a nice relaxed atmosphere so it's a great place to meet other travellers. Close to the beach aswell, and huge clean dorm rooms. Couldn't recommend enough!

This is a fantastic hostel. The owner is really friendly, the beds are clean, cool and comfortable. The water gets hot. It’s a social but not crazy atmosphere. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great hostel, new, open for 2 months. Very clean, both the room, the bathroom, the kitchen available and the common areas. Never found a hostel so clean. For me the best in which I have ever been not only in 3 months in India but around the world. The location is also great, in a quiet setting but only 5 minutes from Palolem Beach and the shops and restaurants. The 2 guys who run it are really nice and helpful. Great WI also in the room. The 8-bed female dorm is immense. Each bed has a curtain, light and power outlet. The beds are also comfy and larger than average, very spacious. The bathroom is also large and the water is very hot. Here you really feel like home and you don't want to leave. I booked for 3 nights but I stayed for 6. If I could I would stop more but I'll try to go back in February. The Straconsiglio. Highly recommend. Centrally located hostel with homely food, clean beds, warm hosts like Vinu and Nelson, friendly staff, beautiful music all day round, colorful artwork which is treat for the eyes and awesome company of fellow travelers.

Best hostel in palolem! Staff are fantastic, the food was amazing and the bed was perfect for recovering from sun burn… can’t recommend this place enough.

A short walk from the beach is this awesome hostel. Spacious dorms with curtains on each bed (cz people sometimes never know when to sleep and when to let others sleep) and unlike others they even have private rooms. A lively place with a few new concepts like coming up soon. They're going to provide canvas sheets for all the nomadic artists staying here, which would be put out in an art show every once in a while. Ask for their partner cafes and restaurants that will give you discounts if you say you're staying here. :)
