One of the best luxury Restaurant I went through. Loved the ambience of the place. Staffs are very friendly with good food. Before going there I went through the reviews which stated that food and staffs are not good but when I went there everything is at it's best. They even arranged candle Light dinner and romantic music for our date. Going through romantic music with the view of Ganga is amazing.

Good place to dine with your loved one, friends and family. The scenic view over its roof top is amazing. A standing hotel in a ship a very interesting concept which I liked a lot. Worth visiting this place once for a peaceful time in your busy routine.

Great ambiance. We liked the view of Ganges from the Floatel. Staffs were polite, sometimes they might trick you to order more dishes but play safe in this part, order within your budget if are looking for it. Great time spent.

We, Jalpaiguri Engineering College passed out in the year 1989 were celebrating reunion day in the month of December'2018. Unique experience it was on the river. Rs 2000/ — per head which includes starter, drinks and lunch. Bottle after bottle were being swallowed and all were jubilant, ecstatic and virtually went down memory lane physically, mentally and spiritually.

For a tourist like myself, I was really fasinated by this restaurant. I loved the architecture and the old rusty interior. The evening breezes were just breath taking, watching people ferry the small boat, was quite a lovely view. The food and service was excellent. I ordered their famous fish, it was delicious and flavorful. I totally recommend this place.

Didn't seem like a 4 star. Looks quite messy and unkempt. Requires a good amount of maintenance and cleanup work. Also, the building rattles if there's a train passing by on the tracks nearby. Maybe they're 4 star on paper but the experience certainly isn't.

Once my favourite haunt. No longer. Sad to see how simple clean seat covers and table covers are absolutely absent. Didn't find a table out in the deck I'd be happy to occupy in my last many many visits. Food quality also falls short of expectations. A beautiful concept, well executed but turned to distasteful sour experience.

It was a nice stay. The rooms were superb. I felt the rooms were a bit small though. The suite was awesome in all sense. The rooftop is like the Kohinoor. Food was of good quality and a place I will suggest for everyone to visit at least once to have an awesome experience.

A vessel turned into a restaurant cum hotel. The best time to visit is the evening time during the sun set. You get to see the beautiful sun set and it's golden reflection on the river Ganges. Though the restaurant is on the expensive side but the view and location makes up for it. So people who likes a romantic evening or dinner definitely can go to this place. But keep your pockets loaded and also the quantity of the food is also not that much. Overall an over expensive place with a great view…

Food too expensive… It should be budget friendly as its not a richer den… It's to be enjoyed by all groups be it students, family, friends, business men, service or self employed… It's a beauty of unique kind. Must be available to all… Food cost lowered by 30% is fine and would be matching to its grade of quality prevailing… Regards.

Food is expensive, taste is worse. The only good fact is the experience. On a moonlit night, you can enjoy the scenery. But don't expect much from the food. Overcharged the menu and really pathetic service as well. This only deserves a star (only for the scenery).

A full moon night with a total lunar eclipse is a perfect night for having dinner in the roof top of a floating hotel. The dinner was excellent and the ambience with help from nature was just perfect. As the dinner was part of a conference, I can't comment on the expense. But a thoroughly enjoyable experience at whatever cost.

If you're okay with spending bucks only for wonderful views you should pay a visit. Both food and service here is not at all up to the mark added to that the overpriced items. But definitely a viewer's paradise.

I stayed here in the month of October. It's a hotel in a ship floating in River Ganga. Somebody told me about this hotel I thought it's just a boat but this hotel holds all the amenities required in a good hotel. Hotel staff is really nice, very supportive in fact I was checking out this hotel in the morning at 4 and you won't believe they offered me packed breakfast, so that I can have that during my journey. If you have never stayed in a ship you can come here visit this hotel and enjoy the journey.

A decent place to spend the day. You can stay here as you would do I'm any hotel. It offers great views from the rooms. You may also book it for events. That's what we did for our school reunion. They also have a restaurant, should you just want to eat with a feel of doing so on the deck of a ship on river Ganga.

Good ambience! Nice place to hangout with friends and family. Kid-friendly place. Safe for couples also. Food is good but not great IMHO!

Very good place for stay & conducting small conference with budget. Need emphasis on cleanliness. Good food. Natural view within the crowded metro.

Place is awesome. Standing on the banks of the great Ganges and being hit by the cool breezd will energize you. One has to experience this to enjoy the place. BUT the food is no good. The taste of the food is way below average. The place is going on abuzz each day only because of the location. Also could not provide 5 star rating because of the food quality.

Good quality food provide. Super cool view from Sunset side of the hotel. Nice & polite hospitality. Only thing I don't like is they don't provide double bed for double sharing room. They provide 2 single bed separately in double sharing room, even u can't attach those bed.

Not that great. Ambiance I will rate good as because of the natural beauty of Mother Ganges. Food I will rate it moderately good in comparison to its price tag. Hospitality is good. I am rather upset with the body language and response level of restaurant associates. Expectation I will say 50% met.

The place is a marvel. I thought it's a building but it's actually a floating boat. The place got amazing view of the river. The food is great but I'd recommend not going during off peak hours as only limited food menu is available. The food was good and pricey like most of the restaurants in Kolkata.

Floating on the Ganges, right between the Howrah Bridge and the Second Hooghly Bridge, it's a beauty to behold. I visited this place at night and it seemed so beautiful. Food was average at the restaurant but if you go there with the right people, it can be fun.

Nice hotel on river with excellent views from Deck. The deck is awesome for spending time with friends and family specially at evening. Ambience is good. Food quality is average. Location is good. Car parking is available.

Great place from a location stand point. Worth it for the view otherwise the hotel is old and needs refurbishing. Room cleanliness could be better. But if you can compromise on these go here for the view.

Floatel is opposite to the SBI headquarter, Kolkata. The primary positive point is its beautiful location, on the river overlooking the magnificent bridges and other classic Kolkata landmarks. Other positive sides are nice ambience and the courteous attendants. The food quality is not always good and overpriced. Worth visiting a few times though.

The location is good — a stone's throw from the central business district. Ample parking facilities. The small bridge to the site could be better, not ideal for senior citizens. The staff are very good, so it's the food.

It's one of its kind hotel. This is the first time I have stayed in a hotel which is floating in water. So it's a real ship which they have created hotel. Very beautiful this and one time experience. They have beautiful open air restaurant which is very good for romantic candel light dinner. From here you can get the view of howrah bridge. The rooms are not so big and it's need renovation also but overall one time you should visit here.

Location is superb. Ideal for honeymooners. There is a damp stench almost across the entire hotel. Rooms are tiny. And never take the "Sunrise" rooms. These are with near zero road view rooms, cleverly named. The sunset room is the river side room and is worth somewhat. View from the restaurant is breathtaking… But the hotel cries for maintenance everywhere. Go there only for the experience…

Very poor service quality, I had to wait at reception for half an hour for check in even when there was no other guest. Location is the only plus for those who want a peaceful vacation. Not at all good for business travellers.

We visited late evening. The view from the Deck is great, which BTW is open 24X7. Ambience is good. Service needs improvement. Floatel definitely makes it to my list of places, for another visit next time!

Well this place deserves a 5 star rating because of its concept. A floating hotel come dine in place. You can see New Howrah bridge on one side and old one on the other side. And a rooftop restaurant on this floating hotel. The best feeling is when you switch off the lights of ur room and sit down at the window to watch the water. This experience is no less then sleeping on a cruise. Also the rooms are divided as Sunrise and sunset rooms. A visit once to this place is must.

I had stayed here during the new year eve. Well it is the only floating hotel in India as claimed by the hotel. Further, the local train line passes through the reception and parking area which adds to its beauty. Coming to rooms, they are quite small that there is no place to move around. The rooms have a weird smell of water stagnation being a floating hotel. One more drawback is, If there is a party going on, even though the function area is on the road side but still the music will be so loud that it ll penetrate through the rooms and you won't be able to sleep. One more experience. We as a group checked out and they said that they have put all the luggages in our cars. But when we all (14 people) reached airport, we realised that there is no luggage for 2 people. On confronting them, they send a car on their expense to airport within 20 min. Thanks to them for that.

Location and ambience is just wow! A floating hotel. A great place to stay.

Classical & different type of hotel than a regular 3 start — 4 star hotel. Food is good. Rooms are small with no great amenities.

Great concept and a good place to hang out over the weekend.

A hotel which floats over a river. This kind of hotel is one and only in Kolkata city. The beauty of ganges river from inside of the hotel is mindblowing. Ideal place for hangout with friends and birthday/wedding reception etc. Buffet services are very good. However entrance of the hotel not looks good, its still like in old days. Free wi fi facility is not available inside the hotel.

I like this place only for its location and ambience. Otherwise the rooms are not worth their price and the food at the top-deck restaurant isn't great either. But its a lovely place to spend the evening by the ganges. The restaurant is open 24 hrs so come over any time you feel like and enjoy the cool breeze by the open deck.

The hotel is fine but I did not like it given the fact that it was a smelly rooms with full moisture. The rooms are very stuffy and small. Except that it is in Hoogly river and only floating hotel, nothing so special about the hotel.

Good riverside restaurant. A ship has been turned into a hotel cum restaurant. Rates are little on the higher side.

What is eco-friendly about this hotel? it is just another establishment that is polluting the Ganges.

Restaurant designed in good all food are good except paneer … pander have a no taste bad quality of paneer.

This hotel has got a pretty good restaurant. But few weeks back one of my friends experienced a weird thing at the restaurant. It was in the bar that one of the waitresses who was serving drinks was seen weeping. When my friend tried to find out what was the issue, we found out that a group of middle aged men had requested specially for the girl to serve them drinks. When a man started serving them, they asked for the woman to serve them drinks. She had some discussion with the manager. It seemed that the woman was unwilling to do it but still the manager had requested her to do it. This is just an experience I wanted to share with all the people because I strongly discourage disrespecting women like this. This is just too bad. To satisfy unethical customers, a good hotel should not be doing this.

The location of he place sells itself. Its a unique place tht allowsbyou to enjoy his bustling metropolis while in the middle ofbit without being being part of the rush as you watch city rushing by as you stand on th3 jetty.

More than a hotel, this is a blissful resort. If you never could go on a cruise ship, you could come here. I strongly recommend this place for its serenity and hospitality.

I stayed for 3 nights in this wonderful hotel. The location is absolutely brilliant All the staff were very helpful. The view is mind blowing The breakfasts were excellent with a wide selection of hot and cold offerings. The added complimentary cold sparkling drinks I had a fantastic meal Overall a great find and a great stay… Highly Recommended!
