Not a great hotel, it too old needs renovation. But staffs are good and friendly.

Hotel charges so high. But no option in breakfast and worse every room including deluxe and superior have water seepage and damp smell. Specially people with asthma, cold and other bronchial issues… a big NO! My 3 visit but very disappointed this time.

Room was good, bathroom small, breakfast not good.

Worse kind of behaviour by the hotel staff. Today for 3 parcels they charged us ₹600. That too without a bill. The men are of extremely rude behaviour. As soon as our party was over, they literally forced us out. It was only 9:45 pm then. That was how they vented their anger when we asked for a proper bill for the parcel. Very unprofessional people. They were behaving as if by attending us, they were doing us some great favour.

I am sure they provide better service but my room was stinky damp and not pleasant. Since my stay wasn't for long I didn't complain about it to anyone. Breakfast was awful, the cutlery wasn't clean. But the hotel is located near many eateries. The local eateries right opposite to the property serves far better tasting food. You have to compromise on sanitation bit even there.

Room good, interior nice, but room service slow. They even don't know about hotel facilities.

Location is very good, but food quality is poor and rooms are not up to the mark.

Hotel was clean n perfect location. Ideal for shoppers and awesome location. Breakfast buffet was below average with limited choices and absolutely no Kid friendly meals. No south indian options such as idly dosa. V costly room service items. Best to stay here n order meals through swiggy or try Maharaja that is just opposite.

Their customer dealing is pathetic. We booked 2 rooms 3 months prior to check-in date. They called us in morning stating there is electrical problem in rooms which we have booked and they are shifting us to new hotel. When we enquired about it, they stated we give preference to people who come in larger groups and they book 1 year prior to the check-in date. I would definitely not recommend this hotel especially of you are booking 3 months prior.

Location is best in Kolkata. I stayed with family in 2 standard rooms. Rooms are small but decent. Maintenance seems due for a while. Had one issue with lock of the room. Had to wait ~10 minutes to get that fixed. Walls seem to have been painted long ago. Staffs are cooperative but not properly trained.

Nice hotel. Good room service and a decent breakfast. Provides 24 hrs hot water.

Great hotel with excellent rooms. Ideally located in South Kolkata with several restaurants in walking distance. Great value for money.

Beautiful Hotel… Metropole was quite a discovery for me and a friend visiting Kolkata. The room interiors were quite nice. The staff was very courteous and helped me with enabling Wi-Fi on my laptop. The hotels on the main road, close to my office, in South Kolkata. I feel it's a perfect blend of budget 3 star hotel with a personal touch which is added by the interiors and beautiful black and white photos of the city. Look forward to staying here again, and a big thumbs up to the staff!

Good experience — neat clean rooms — staff is very good — reasonable rate — location is a plus — they have a bar and the luksa is good — hotel is quite compact.

Great location, good breakfast, tidy, peaceful stay. The wi fi is really slow & at times even simple web page goes dead slow. Overall its a decent place to stay.

This place is an excellent discovery. Its first two floors have restaurant and cafe, while the rest have rooms. I was staying in a room on the third floor. Metropole seems to have struck the right balance in terms of budget and good quality. Personally for me the most important aspect for a hotel is it's cleanliness, which is best reflected in linen. Suffice to say that this hotel has good linen, the interiors of the room was tastefully done, with black and white photos of old Kolkata. All the standard amenities seemed to be there, coffee maker, mini bar etc. For the two nights I was staying there, I ordered my dinner on one night to the room, the service seemed pleasant. This hotel is ideal if you have work in South Kolkata, also it's prices are very competitive. Look forward to my next visit.

Nondescript hotel, good for those who do not plan to stay long. Their tariffs are too pricey for their amenities, which are not too impressive (there is no hot water, the bed is too big for the room, and the airconditioning is unpredictable — during my stay there, the AC for the entire floor got busted and the one in the new room I was relocated to, was dripping). The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the hotel's proximity to several dining facilities along Sarat Bose Road are the saving grace.
