Sunfun Beach House

Shinto and Kishor and his colleagues were so kind and really helpful. The room was nice. On my last day, my train was delayed and they offer me room to spend the time. On top of that they organise a scooter for me. I would come back again.

# They hot & cold water… if you ask why no hot water they its only solar. NO proper power point combined with 2~3 like same point for fridge & water kettle… Kettle never works, All doors difficult to operate, tap & shower works together… Think your self before booking…

We had a lovely stay at Sun Fun Beach House which is very close to payyambalam Beach and also near to the city. The location is super convenient and makes it easy to explore nearby places.
The room was good and compact and had everything we needed. AC Wifi proper lighting and a clean washroom with hot water. Handwash soaps and towels were provided. Just remember to carry your own toothpaste and shampoo 🧴
Breakfast was included for us on both days. On the first day we were served poori baji along with tea or coffee. On the third day we had an early checkout around 8 am and requested for an early breakfast. The staff was extremely kind and made us bread omelette and black coffee which we really appreciated ☕️
We stayed for two nights and the property is close to tourist attractions like the museum, st. Angelo fort and payyambalam Beach. We took a ground floor room which had a beach view. If you want a full and elevated view of the beach then I would recommend choosing a top floor room 🌴
Overall a comfortable stay with warm staff and a great location. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful beachside stay ✨

I booked myself for 3 nights and 4 days as I wanted to explore Kannur.
To start with the location, when they say they offer Sea Facing rooms, they really mean 'Sea Facing'
I have never come across a room with such a panoramic view of the sea and the beach. ❤️
The beach is literally 30 feet from the property so a lot of rooms have a splendid view.
The property is Ground + 2 floors and I booked myself in on the 3rd floor.
The rooms are clean & efficient with a clean attached bathroom, a mini fridge, AC, Wardrobes.
They provide towels and toiletries so you don't need to carry them.
Branded mineral water of is provided throught out your stay.
The room came with a lovely balcony with a few chairs where I spent most of my time gazing at the mesmerizing view.
You get a full view of the same from your bed too. Imagine going to sleep and waking up to this sight and the calming echoes of the waves, just perfect!
Breakfast is modest — Omelettes with Tea and toast, puri with aloo curry, basic fruits.
Being a tea addict, they offered me tea more than a few times which was really nice of them.
They are situated close to town (4-5 kms) which takes not more than 15 mins as there is no traffic. There are many iconic restaurants near by and also you can order food from online aggregators.
There is a lovely small road in front of the property but there is barely any traffic noise or honking at all.

One of the best stays. The rooms has best view. The advantage is that it's just opposite the beach and since it's a bit away from the crowded area of the beach we get the beach for ourselves. The view is spectacular and staffs especially kishore and shinto are the best. Zomato and swiggy is available. There are good restaurants within one to two kilometres.

Sunfun Beach House is a beautiful property located right opposite the sea beach — the location couldn’t be better. The manager, Shinto, and the entire staff are very friendly, polite, and professional. The hygiene and cleanliness are top-notch, making the stay truly comfortable.
I stayed for three days, but honestly, it felt too short — I wish I could have stayed longer! The place is peaceful, relaxing, and perfect for a beach getaway. It’s definitely a must-visit spot for everyone. If I get a chance to visit again, I’ll undoubtedly choose Sunfun Beach House once more. Had a wonderful experience overall. 🌊✨

Good beach view, Very friendly, helpful and supportive staff. Rooms shown in pictures were different. Bed was narrow if you stay with children. But kid stay for free anyway. Easy access to beach, decent breakfast.

From 1, 2 floors the sea facing rooms have great view.
Rooms are aesthetically pleasing.

We stayed here for 2 days and the location just opp to beach and it's newly renovated so the rooms are so clean and well maintained. The service also too good for us as he is so humble and we were happy as what ever we ask they served nicely without any hesitate or wait. Definitely recommend one and you can have a loot on it for sure…

We stayed at Sunfun beach house during May and whole experience was truly amazing. The location of this beach house is very commutable for all the tourist places around Kannur. I can totally vouch for the quality of rooms, location and the nice service that they provided.

Sun Fun is a charming hotel situated along Payyambalam beach. The rooms are clean, well-lit, large and airy, and the views from the first floor are stunning (especially from the corner room on the left). The beach is accessible from right across the property.
The hotel is very centrally located, with lots of restaurants close by. Most important temples are within a 30 minute drive away.
The breakfast that's available on request is very good, as is the coffee.
Mr Shinto, the manager, was very welcoming and helpful, and assisted us with hiring a car to visit some temples further away from the hotel. Mr Kishore and his partner were also very good hosts.
We had a lovely stay and will definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Kannur.

Sunfun Beach House is literally right on the beach, offering breathtaking sea views from the ground-floor deluxe rooms. The deluxe room features a lovely verandah where we spent our mornings, afternoons, and nights just soaking in the sound of the waves — it was pure bliss!
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to check in early. The rooms were spotless and extremely comfortable, equipped with air conditioning to keep us cool. The small fridge in the room was a huge plus for keeping drinks and snacks chilled. I personally loved the aesthetics of the entire property.
The staff’s helpfulness extended beyond just hospitality — they were always ready to assist with logistics and made our stay truly enjoyable. The stay was very relaxing. They give you packaged drinking water everyday.
The food services could be a little better. But that could be my personal opinion. But you can use Swiggy/Zomato which was very convenient.

Sunfun Beach House is literally on the beach, offering a fantastic sea view if you book the Superior King Room. Even the other rooms provide a decent view of the ocean. From the room balconies, you can enjoy stunning sunrises, breathtaking sunsets, and serene moonlit nights.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, with well-functioning air conditioning. A small fridge in the room is a lifesaver for keeping drinks and snacks cool. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with logistics.
Keep in mind that the property is located away from the city, which was perfect for us as we wanted to escape the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet. However, this does require some planning if you need to go into town. Fortunately, the staff was very helpful in arranging taxis and autos whenever we needed transportation.
Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we would love to return in the future!

Best beach side property in kannur especially sea view room. Very neat and clean room and surrounding areas. Very friendly and experienced staffs overall Management superb. Will definitely visit again. Thank you Sun Fun beach house.
