Whispering Waters

For a small weekend get away for people around ernakulam and aluva, this is a nice place to visit. Small yet beautiful and peaceful property. Very spacious and clean rooms. Food is also good.

This hotel is in a beautiful setting, right on the river with an abundance of wildlife. Staff are very friendly and food is excellent. The pool area was very peaceful with plenty of sunbeds. Rooms are comfortable, although you need to turn on the immersion heater to get hot water. Only downside is there is no bar to bring your own drinks.

Our stay at Whispering Waters Resort was overall a pleasant experience. The resort offers a very calm and peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. The natural surroundings and serene environment were truly enjoyable and contributed greatly to our comfort.
However, we felt that the quality of service did not fully meet our expectations. While the staff was courteous, there is room for improvement in terms of responsiveness and overall service efficiency.
We had booked a hall for our night party, but we were surprised to find the team waiting at the hall and observing. While we expected one staff member for serving, having 2-3 staff members present made us uncomfortable.
Additionally, we were charged for food provided to bus drivers as part of the guest bill, and this charge was non-negotiable, which was disappointing. Enhancing service standards and improving transparency in charges would greatly improve the guest experience and better match the resort’s tranquil setting.

The location and facilities are decent; however, the service quality is extremely poor. Despite a confirmed booking for 32 guests, drivers were charged separately for food, which is unacceptable.
Late checkout was clearly discussed and agreed upon in advance, with one cottage approved until 2:00 PM. Nevertheless, staff began repeatedly calling us from 12:00 noon onwards, creating unnecessary pressure and negatively impacting the experience.
Additionally, even after booking the hall for one hour, the server and three to four staff members stood watching us throughout, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
They also refused to cut fruits for us, indicating a lack of basic hospitality and service orientation.
Overall, there was a clear absence of customer empathy and professionalism. Management needs to seriously review and improve service standards. Despite the good location, I would not recommend this place.

The hotel is in a lovely position by the river and a quiet location reached by small roads through the rubber trees. Unless you have an upper floor room you cannot see the lovely view. The grounds are nice and the pool is good however there are not enough sun loungers.
The rooms are basic but comfortable. I would say 3 star at best. The food at the evening buffet was good and plenty to choose from with a BBQ also.
Ok for one night but not a place to be in for too long!

It was a good place. Very close to Paniyel poru falls which makes it a good location. We did a day trip of 20 people. 2300 per person with BBQ dinner, lunch, welcome drink and tea. It was a reasonable, good, memorable trip.

I stayed at Whispering Waters for 4 days and had an extraordinary experience. I had initially booked for 2 days, but I extended my stay to 4 days because of the excellent service and the scenic beauty of the place. The management was wonderful, and the food was also very good.
I was looking for a true hideout to relax with my husband and had checked with many options before speaking to Vineeth from Whispering Waters. From the very first call until we checked out, he gave his best, and it was only because of him that I booked this place. However, the entire team made our stay truly amazing.
We have already been referring this place to friends and family, encouraging everyone to stay at least for a day. We will definitely come back for another break.

We recently did a family day-trip to the resort. We all had a lovely time.
The day-booking included a large double room, unlimited use of facilities including swimming pool and a full buffet style lunch. Drinks (including beer) extra.
Getting here is easy, especially as the roads now are mostly excellent — except for the final mile or so which is a bit bumpy.
We reached around 11 AM. Checked into the room. The younger adults immediately changed into swimwear and jumped into the good sized & quite clean pool. Spent close to an hour splashing & horsing around, while the 'older' folks strolled or rested poolside. Then onto some beers and buffet Kerala style lunch. Food was decent. Spent rest of the day between the admittedly limited & kinda cramped (just carroms) indoor game-room, and the outdoor shuttle court. Left by early evening after a cup of tea.
So. Do not expect a fancy resort; but it's certainly good value for the money. Well maintained; with very helpful staff. Food could be better.
Do note: Though this resort is along the Periyar, one cannot easily walk up to its banks — blame the unfettered wild elephants situation and hence electric fencing to keep them out. I'm told it's a short mile trek to the 'Poru' park entrance.
All in all, quite a nice experience. Well recommended, especially if you are already in the area.

Went with nine members of the family. Ideal location, peaceful atmosphere, nice ambience, clean safe pool, hygienic restaurant, good food and hospitality and well behaved staff.

Pros:
• The resort had a very good ambience.
• The rooms were really nice.
• It’s located near the Periyar River.
• The pool is huge, and there’s a separate pool for kids as well.
Cons:
• Buffet breakfast was not available as expected.

We had a day out of 12 members. We enjoyed the ganes offered. Its awesome. But we missed Maneesh. Sorry to hear about thecWash room incident. He was helpful in playing areas.

The resort was an amazing experience! The service was excellent, rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was refreshing, and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Special thanks to Vipin, the Reception Manager.

5 star for the ambience and location. Feel good & close to nature. But the service needs improvement. Activities are for namesake. Just added few items for including in the advertisement. No mobile network coverage, but Wi-Fi available. Overall good.

Service is too bad and behaviour from staff is not at all acceptable. Very arrogant and mis behaviour.
Better not choose this property for any event.
The price for what they are offering is not worth. For the same price we will get the much better hotels in a better location.
On 14/08/2025 the manager in charge and management attitude and their reply to customers make us more worried. There is no safety this people will do anything they want. Better not to visit this place at cost.

We had a pleasant stay at Whispering Waters😊😊 The food & accomodation was quite satisfying… The swimming pool was well maintained. Really appreciable efforts from the officials. Very well recommend this Resort to have a get together. The location was very nature friendly with it's greenary. But the way to reach this location was little tedious. Sign boards should be kept to show the indication to this resort. We had reached this location with the help of Google Map. But the map was showing a road through the forest area. Residents of this place only know the proper roads leading to the town area. Suggestions to widen the kids playing area and little more out door games should be provided. Altogether we had enjoyed very well with our family members at this Resort🥰🥰👏👏👏

We had a day out of 35 members in this resort. It was just thrilling. The swimming pool was so clean and spacious. The staff provided us lot of games. They were so supportive. Especially Hammu and Manesh. They were so attentive in the PLAY AREAS. The wash rooms in the lobby were sparkling.

Good resort near paniyeli poru. Good food and very friendly staff. River view from near the pool. Please note All rooms don't get the river view.
