Reviewing for the restaurant.
Went to the restaurant to have breakfast. All the food items like paratha, poori sabji were very tasty. Ginger tea was very good too. Staff were polite and very helpful.

Terrible room condition… the room was full of dampness… we booked the room for around 4k and the condition was pathetic… for hot water they were giving heating rod… room switchboard was coming out… power plugs were not functioning and terrible smells.
It is a terrible hotel. From the outside it looks very nice but inside is totally crap.
Staff is also not that good… the manager is pathetic. The room was as if it was a staff quarter or for drivers.
Terrible hospitality not worth staying!

Not pretty comfortable. No geyser, they provide a heater stick. No TV and Fan or hair dryer. But location is good. Food is good. Restaurant area is nice.

Room & Facilities.
• The first room had flickering lights which made it uncomfortable to stay in. When we reported it, the staff offered a downgraded room, though we eventually managed to get another room.
• There was no hot water on Day 1 in both rooms despite claims of centralized heating.
• We experienced more than 18 hours of power outage, making the stay extremely difficult. Due to the outage, we couldn’t charge our phones or power banks.
• Telecom networks weren’t working properly, so we had to keep going back and forth to the reception for every small update or need.
Breakfast.
• Breakfast was à la carte, but we were allowed to order only one item per person and only one piece.
• This restrictive policy felt unwelcoming, especially when most hotels offer buffets or at least flexible portions.
• Overall, the breakfast experience was disappointing.

We had lunch at the restaurant. The service & the food was excellent. The staff was extremely courteous & efficient. Thanks for a supremely nice experience at the restaurant. Will definitely visit again & recommend others also.

We had a very wonderful experience at the Hotel Highwinds Lakeside. The food was amazing and the serving team was great. The food & the experience overall was worth visiting. Craving satisfied. Definitely visiting the hotel again soon.

Way from shillong to jowai take a rest at highwind hotel what an awesome place to take a deep breathe and peacefull place the whether was different and cool we had breakfast and. The staff was so friendly greet us with a warm welcome highly recommend ❤️food was delicious and yess everything was 👍

I recently visited Highwinds lakeside jowai hotel. The hotel is nestled in serene location opposite thadlaskein lake offering a peacefull atmosphere The staff is generally friendly and helpful.
Highwinds is a great choice for those who seek comfortable and the food was so delicious it's worth it and the room are spacious, with modern amenities like TV screenand free Wi-Fi. The hotels prime location beautiful surroundings band reasonable prices make ita popular choices among traveller it's a good place and the staff was so friendly and warm welcoming towards the quest. Love it ❤️

Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience. The rooms were impeccably clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to ensure maximum comfort. The staff demonstrated exceptional hospitality, always polite and ready to assist with a genuine smile. The food offered a wide range of flavors and was consistently fresh and delicious. The hotel’s location was excellent, providing easy access to local attractions and transport. Overall, a highly recommended property for both leisure and business travelers.

Average stay but price is relatively high than south bengal/other areas of west bengal. Rooms are maintained as in ok type. Rooms has some Crack & damp with low spacious. No ceiling fan s there, only one stand fan is provided. Food quality are good but complementary breakfast is insufficient & limited variety was there. Washing area not maintaining. Hiegeinic issue is present to some extent as seen during breakfast.

Excellent location, food and service. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Coming back again. Thank you.

We stayed in this hotel for a night on our way back from Shnongpdeng to Shillong.
I was absolutely awestruck with the exceptional hospitality.
Staff is very sweet, I almost ended up seeing every single room and then chose executive family suite. It’s on ground floor but room is exceptionally well managed.

Prices of food are reasonable.
For a highway hotel it’s amazing to see this kind of quality.

Stayed here in April 2024 for one night.
We stayed in the standard room with 3 beds. Room was OK type. Not spacious. Beds and other furniture were very old. It was not very neat and clean. It was kind of OK for a night. Bathroom was spacious, clean. However the toilet seat was broken.
However, the hotel lobby area was very clean and nicely decorated. Hotel location was good with a view of the highway and the lake. Since, we had the room in the ground floor — we spent most of our times here. It was a good ambience.
Food was excellent. We liked the food very much. Service of the hotel was also very good and staffs were helpful. They packed our breakfast in the next morning as well.

We like this place… everythings was awesome, frm rooms, food, service, locstion, view, cleanliness… all perfect…

Everything is fine except the room size… We took a three-bedded room for 3 persons but the room size was suitable for only two persons…
Food items are good… The breakfast, lunch and dinner items all come at a pocket friendly rate…
Most importantly, the location of the hotel is very beautiful… The surrounding is almost filled with pine trees everywhere… A beautiful view of a lake can be seen towards the Southern side of the hotel… The view is breath-taking especially during the morning and evening time…
Sometimes the map shows a slightly mismatching entrance to the hotel from the Highway… So one must be careful when going there for the first time, seeing the online maps…
Overall the cleanliness, food, centralised geyser system for warm water in the bathroom and most importantly the behaviour of the staff was very good during our visit in February 2024…

This is located on the road to Jowai from Shillong. I bumped into it whilst returning from Shnonpdeng, as I was sleeping sleepy and needed to stop for a coffee.
We got the coffee in reasonable time. It was good.
The hotel, I discovered, had 10 odd rooms, tariff whereof is in the pictures attached. Can't comment on the rooms though, as never stayed there.
The place though is quiet and well located, about 50 odd Kilometres from Shillong.
The views are good and the staff helpful.
There's ample parking.
