WORST MANAGEMENT! Beware of Theft: Never leave your belongings in their premises, even in parked vehicle. On Mar 9th 2020, I stayed in this hotel where this theft happened. From the storage of my rented vespa two wheeler, my belongings worth 5k including sport shoes got stolen overnight. On approaching their management, they said we can't help out since the CC TV cameras are not covering that area. Followed by this, I went to most cordial policemen of pondicherry who really took control of this matter and took complaint. I am waiting for Hotel management to respond/reimburse me the loss incurred here but they don't seem to be interested in either reimbursing or finding my shoes. I have filed the complaint to police station also.

Very nice place for stay in puduchery. Spacious rooms and good attractive decorated reception hall. Room service is excellent. I suggest for this Hotel.

Everything about this hotel is really good, be it service, food, staff, cleanliness, rooms etc.

We chose shenbaga twice once in 2017 and in 2019 for the baptism functions of our two daughters
excellent dining and spacious halls. Highly recommended.

Everything needs a spruce up. Ground floor looks impressive but bathroom is really dated.
Breakfast in the morning is poor. There is a lot of variety of food but tasteless. Poor service and lacking of staff in the restaurant.

Today after nearly 18 days I am forced to write this that never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that a 4 star hotel with such ratings could stoop so low. I was supposed to visit Pondicherry on the 29th of September last month and had opted for advanced bookings through the Shenbaga portal. However, the trip was cancelled at the last moment and we ended up cancelling on the 26th of September. Refund at most takes 7-10 days to be credited to the original account and yet after 18 days my money is yet to be returned by the Shenbaga Hotel & Convention Centre. Even after calling for more than 10 times, all I hear every time is that your money shall reach your account by today evening. They even asked me for my account number and never credited the same and that was more than 10 days back. They promised to follow up and never did and went back on their word every time. The biggest shock was the level of disregard shown for an individuals time and money. Imagine the harassment I am being subjected to when every day I hear your money shall be credited and never is. Excuses like our third party payment portal Citruspay has kept it pending is so rampant and outright stupid when so many other sites use the same and I had never had refund issues from their end. A 4 star hotel that is virtually stealing the money and promises hospitality services when you cannot even live up to your word.

The best hotel to stay in Pondi! Close enough to the beaches, market, even wine shop. Rooftop swimming pool, great bar, nominal prices as per the facilities. A lot of dinner places near the hotel. Beach view from the top. Cant complain about anything!

Very nice hotel, with all amenities, clean, tidy, good service and great food. They offer a free breakfast to all their guests and the spread is huge, they have the North and South Indian, and English breakfast. It's all worth it. We were two families with young kids and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely go back to Shenbaga and recommend to friends visiting pondicherry as well.

One of the best hotels of Puducherry. Excellent rooms, very spacious, courteous staff, nice swimming pool, view from roof top is very soothing in the morning, breakfast is delicious with all options. To be mentioned — the bar is really very nice. Had a great time there too. Location is excellent. Walking distance from the promenade. Will visit again.

Good well maintained place to stay. Nice ambience and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Very near to Rocky beach. Local market and some good restaurants are very near.

Helpful staff, good food, the room is spacious and the bed comfortable. The reception staff went out of their way to get football channel started on my rooms TV, thank you for that. The Spa is good too. The breakfast spread is more than adequate.

This hotel is one the best in town. Located in the centre with the best amenities. Staying here is very great. Room service and rest of the facilities are superb. Also it has a swimming pool on the terrace with the view of the town.

Enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are nice and airy. Some might not have the best view but it's quite spacious compensate that. The staff are nice and courteous. Looking forward to staying here again.

Amazing hotel. First priority of stay if you visit pondicherry. Rooms are spacious and according to the international standards. Sleep quality is awesome. Staying experience is great. Buffet is lavish and have good amount of varieties. Have swimming pool and spa. Maintenance is good. Got a sports bar. And the view from the terrace is splendid. Best to get rooms with sea view. Got ample amount of parking space. Staff are friendly. Overall a premium feel.

We loved our stay at Shenbaga. The location was amazing and the staff was super polite. We loved the quality of the rooms and the ambience. The infinity pool was the highlight of the place. We booked the room for really cheap online.

Good one. Especially the swimming pool. But only nylon clothes are allowed in swimming pool. Well cleaned room. Ambience is good everywhere. Valet parking people are good.

Loved the hotel, While it does have all the amenities, what sets it apart is the thoroughly professional approach of the staff. Do not recollect the staff saying no on any occasion, We stayed here four nights. They were patient enough to let us see all available rooms so that we could choose the one that we like best. Kids will enjoy the rooftop swimming pool and the Jacuzzi. Every room has its own Wi-Fi. The fact that Pondicherry does not have tall buildings, provides higher floors with an excellent view. The same day laundry was efficient and reasonably priced. Even the mini bar stock were priced close to retail. The bathroom is well equipped with tub, hair dryer and the mirror also has a defogger to prevent the glass from misting over after a hot shower.

Good hotel in the middle of the city. Pretty walkable distance to beach. Breakfast has variety. Unfortunately unable to have Lunch or Dinner in this hotel even though they provide 20% discount for residence. Roof top swimming pool was awesome. But max. Depth is just 4.8 meter is a bit worry. So diving strictly prohibited. Will give 5 start without doubt. Still few are of improvements is, I feel this hotel does not have tea spoon. Eg: No teas spoon to prepare tea in room. Only plastic stirs kept. I have not seen teas spoon in restaurant either.

Well located, near to beach, clean and spacious room, food is good, roof top pool gives a scenic view of the city. Banquet hall is also good. Parking is fine. Could ensure better room service. Staff are cooperative.

A good stay. Breakfast buffet has a lot of variety. The location is good. It is close to the local market and only a couple of minutes away from the Rock Beach and other local sightseeing points. Although it is not really important but would like to add that the channels on the TV were very limited. Apart from that, location, service, food-all good.

Nice Stay. Good service. Beautiful place to stay. Courteous staff. However food is good, there is need of improvement in menus. Location is at walkable distance from rock beach of White Town. Good for holding conferences. They have separate convention center for this.

Very good and well maintained hotel, in the center of the city. Most of the visiting places are just at walkable distance from here. Staffs are well mannered. Food too is very tasty. Enough variety for complimentary breakfast (both veg and non veg).

What to say… it was a palace. A place so luxurious. Rooms are the best. Good to spend time here. Comfort at its peak. Well furnished rooms. Well mannered staffs, I really appreciated them by their works (serving and room service). Food served is good. It has a terrace on 8th floor which gives a splendid look. It was a nice time spending time with family and friends. If even I would get to Pondicherry one more time I would like to /recommend people to halt /stay in this hotel.

Neat and a decent place with magnificent interior. The only flaw was with the ODC boys who try to escape at times when asked for some help. Other than that the management was very kind and helpful. On the whole it is an amazing place to conduct any kind of events and the food was delightful.

Even 5 star is an underrating to how good this hotel is. It made our stay in Pondi so memorable. Food is awesome, especially the breakfast buffet. Service is good too. Room was very clean. Overall, awesome experience. Can't say whether it's the best hotel because have not seen all but based on my experience will highly recommend.

It's a nice 4-star hotel with adequate facilities and comfort. However, the setup is quite formal, as the name suggests. For Pondicherry, a more authentic setup would be suited better, if you are looking for a vacation.

Nice rooms in a nice location. Doesn't offer any views from the rooms to boast about though. Conveyance easily available from the hotel. The staff were courteous but they need to speed up their service. Sometimes it take ages to get things done. Nice buffet spread. However not very yummy but doable. Overall very hygienic, clean and of great value.

Clean room and even cleaner washrooms. Affordable tasty food delivered to your room. Service was quick and pleasing. Location is perfect. Railways station is near as well as many tourist locations like Rock beach, MatreMandir, Promenade, etc. Swimming pool is awesome. Terrace has Sea-view. Everything inside the hotel looks classy.

The hotel is beautiful well worth the money as it was for bed and breakfast lovely swimming pool at the top. The people in reception are brilliant and the person who saw you at the restaurant for breakfast are good. But the rest of the staff need to learn to am smile and look happy and learn to interact with clients better need more training in people skills the food is fantastic the rooms are clean nice shower and a European toilet the fridge is stocked with beer and breeders and water which you have to pay for, but you do get complimentry coffee and bottles of water definitely recommend anyone to stay at this hotel near the main road easy walking distance to the shops KFC etc. It also has a gym for you fitness people. One other fault need to inform clients that breakfast is only served in the downstairs restaurant during week days weekends both restaurants are open the one upstairs is on the 8th floor. All in all an very enjoyable stay.

A beautiful place … I didn't expect such a majestic place seeing the environment… A must visit for everyone. The pool is pretty small but still fun for a dip with family… The food rates are fine and are worth it … The food is as fresh as dew … The place is very clean and the rooms are arranged nicely.

Really good hotel to stay… Beach is just 2 km from hotel and it's situated in central business area. The complimentary breakfast was really good. There is a roof top swimming pool and the water was so dirty and they don't have enough towels to provide for the people who uses swimming pool. Overall had a good stay.

Hotel ambience location and pricing is good. The owner seems to have put in lots of life into the property, however few staff needs to be trained well.

Good hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast. Located very near to Aurobindo ashram. Convention center is unnecessarily expensive. Ambience good at outside. However room particularly bathroom needs more attention.

The stay overall was pleasant. Rooms were good. Restaurant was great. Some construction was going on when I visited. And room service was quite slow. But a wonderful hotel in dirt cheap prices, so no complaints.

Nice deal with goibibo, rooms were neat and clean with some mini bar with alcohols decent priced. Window size and hvac were good and fire direction were visible. Good, transparent elevator at the eight storey atrium were good and eagle's hanging was good and I really had fun with the infinity pool but actually not cent percent infinite still good and clean water and shower rooms and lockers. Yeah. Business hotel, suites family too. Might check in another time sooner! Looking forward.

We are tourists from Mumbai. A group of 3 couples. The staff is very good and courteous. The restaurant has good food. Menu is limited to Punjabi and chinese. The breakfast is good too. The swimming pool is roof top. Offering very good panoramic view of the city. The hotel is situated right in the city Making it easy to reach everywhere with walking distance. The hotel is very good when it comes to price. We loved the stay.

It's a good hotel at center of the city and got good staffs except for those idiots at the front desk, specially the guy named Ganesh. When we entered the hotel he said no rooms were vacant, then I had to show him I can still book room in the same hotel via various websites and they all show rooms available here, Then he said he will recheck and gave us a room if we agreed to check-out date the next day (we wanted a room for two days). After checking in I enquired the room-boy and confirmed that the hotel currently has 80% vacancy. The next morning we extended our room for an another day and checked out the next day, even during the check-out I had to wait a long time for Ganesh to finish is argument with a family who just came to check-in. Good hotel ran badly.

Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days last month with my family. One of the best hotel in pondicherry I have stayed so far. Awesome ambiance, clean rooms, friendly service, reasonable price for the quality and luxury service. Would prefer shenbaga to anyone who look for a peaceful stay at a great place.
