Anup & Mehak are genuinely passionate about Mel Ville and we (couple along with our 9 years old son) experienced every bit of it during our recent trip to Pondicherry.
Mel Ville Location : This is our second visit to Pondy, we were looking for a quiet stay nearby to the French quarter area with safe parking & Mel Ville was just a perfect fit. Based on our previous experience, we hired a two wheeler for local commute to avoid hassles of driving on the narrow/busy roads within the core area & the hosts were helpful in sharing the contact who dropped/picked the two wheeler from Mel Ville.
Comfort : Spacious, airy, neatly done interiors along with fully equipped kitchen for guests who intend to stay for long & cook on their own (although you may also opt for a freshly cooked breakfast with prior request).
Hospitality : Top Notch.! We were well informed about the booking formalities, directions to reach their place, local food-shopping recommendations & well catered to our custom needs (early checkin/checkouts) in a friendly manner.
Bonus Tip : Being courteous might help.! Be nice & you may be surprised with a freshly in-house baked brownies or even better. Get an invitation to join the hosts for breakfast like us.

Fantastic, warm friendly hosts who wanted to make sure guests really enjoyed stay. Room was lovely. Kept very clean all the time. Plenty of hot water. Mehak produced superb breakfast foods. Full of flavour with plenty of it. Quality of food was superb. … Mel Ville is in absolutely perfect location.

Mel Ville is a gem of a place. Anup and Mehak are dedicated hosts, they went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We stayed at Melville for 1.5months on the bottom floor apartment. The apartment is well lit with basic, clean furniture. It has the essential equipment and when we needed anything, Mehak was happy to provide it for us to use for the duration of our stay. It is rare to find people like Anup and Mehak who are so caring towards their guests. Mehak is an adorable person and an amazing cook, her creativity in the kitchen is WOW. Anup is super helpful, he gave us advice on things to do in the area, booking a cab for long distance travels, etc. We really enjoyed our time at Mel Ville. It is so easy to become friends with this wonderful couple as they are so welcoming and have a big heart.

Clean, comfortable and equipped with all essentials and creature comforts. Very Spacious and tastefully done apartment. Proximity to the promenade, shops and restaurants. Heart warming hosts that make you feel very welcome. Can’t make a mistake by choosing this one. We visited with our parents and kid. Thanks Mehak and Anup for hosting us. Thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and drinks with you. Hope to see you folks again.

A furnished apartment that is the best for long stay. Very near to shopping center and other amenities. You can cook as the kitchen is equipped or get from the hosts who have good variety of food at a reasonable rate. It was a very pleasant stay and would recommend for sure.

Very cosy and comfortable place, close to most of the places in the city. Very friendly and whelming hosts. Loved the stay.

An amazing experience to live in such a luxurious villa at a prime location located at a walking distance from all the happening places in Pondicherry. We were 17 in all, a group from Christ University, Bangalore and managed to find this stay at 7 AM. The hosts were very hospitable at all times and also helped us with transportation, tourism and medical safety. A highly recommended place to reside for a big group while visiting the city.

An extremely well maintained place with equally hospitable hosts, this is the place to be if you're in Pondicherry for 2 nights or 2 weeks :) Centrally located too… Highly recommend this for people traveling in big groups (y)

Great place. Amazing hosts. Incredible view. They provided a well planned stay and privacy was completely guaranteed. A must stay if you're in town with a huge group of people.

It is a nice place to stay with your whole family. It is a home away home feelings. The owner mr malwani is a nice person. Mr and mrs malwani has given impotance while selecting every article in the attachment startring from furniture to utensils. The apartment is very well matianed. This place is walkable distance from the ashram and beach.

Best service apartment visited so far. Anup and Mahak will try their best to make your trip an unforgettable experience, be it local guidance, some support required or delicious in house food. You will always get more than you asked for. Recommended.

Our family had a such wonderful time at Melville! Its truely a home away from home. The staff were very polite and prompt. The apartment was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Mr. Anup and Mrs. Mehak both were amazing. They helped us above and beyond during our stay including Complimentary home made food and taxi services. I highly recommend to anyone especially with children. Thank you!

Mel Ville gave us a very peaceful holiday experience. We had opted for the studio apartment on top floor. Absolutely no disturbance, neat and clean. Aesthetically decorated. The regular staff were quite polite and prompt. Features like a microwave, fridge, extra mattress, double washrooms were really good to have in such a price. Also, I was in for a pleasant surprise on receiving the organic, home grown veg platter! Food needs to be ordered beforehand so that the home kitchen can prepare it for you delightfully the next day or at night. Very close to Main road and the Promenade beach/rock beach, white town are at walking distance. Laundry service is also available. Lift facility is there. Pleasant choice of furniture. The set of rules are quite simple and hassle free. Didn't feel out of home at all :) Over all happy with the choice.

Mel Ville is the picture perfect home away from home.   The location is great & the apartment is spacious with good interiors. It is well maintained the housekeeping service is efficient with Jolly bunch of housekeepers. The in-house food is awesome as Mehak is superb cook.   She time and again surprises guests fabulous food.   Since we stayed a long two weeks, she even invited us for a lunch and a dinner.    Mehak and Anup both are wonderful people always ready to help. This was a first experience in a serviced apartment.    I think we will have difficulty matching the standard elsewhere. Thanks to both of you for making us feel at home away from home! Having traveled from Seattle to visit friends and family in Chennai we (a group of friends) decided to visit Pondy over the weekend. We were a 4 some, looking for a single accommodation and Mel Ville kind of fell into our laps (laptop) quite literally. Quartz (the penthouse) apartment was all it was touted to be & more. Ample space, well done interiors, abundant light & ventilation, air conditioning, excellent Wi-Fi connectivity & a fully equipped kitchen (all as advertised & fully functional) The hosts were extremely gracious & cooperative. Mehak (our hostess) served excellent home made food from an elaborate menu at down to earth prices. It was a ball of a weekend with accommodation being the high point. Its your turn to experience Mel Ville!

Having traveled from Seattle, I was looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay in Pondy. Fortunately I found Mel Ville. I stayed at the Quartz for two nights and it was very comfortable stay. The hosts were extremely gracious and provided excellent home made food at a very affordable price. Loved my stay and won't think twice about staying here again. Try it and you will love it too.

The best place to stay in Pondicherry. The owners Anupji and Mahekji are very friendly in nature and supportive. The apartment is very well equipped and the ambiance is very nice with positive vibes. Also how can I forget the delicious home made food by Mahekji. We really had an amazing stay experience at Mel Ville. If u think of Pondicherry, Mel Ville is the right place to stay.

A true sample of excellent hospitality! We had a great stay in Pondicherry at Mel Ville. Amazing service, good interiors and some exquisite dishes as well. Reasonably priced for a service apartment. It's located in the heart of the city which makes it more convenient. We stayed in the penthouse on the 3rd floor, it's an amazing view and the apartment is well equipped and comfortable. All in all I would like to say I had a great time during my stay and Mel Ville. Highly recommend:-)

Amazing place. It's in the city but not located as shown on Google maps. The place we stated was really good. As well as the hospitality. Also they serve delicious food.

Amazing hosts, well maintained property, good for families with functioning Wi-Fi and secure parking. We were seven (2 families) that spent Christmas in Pondicherry. Anup and Mehak were excellent hosts and were in touch with us from booking all the way to check out to ensure that we had a great time. This is a great location, and only a short walk to the french district. The apartment is well maintained and in good condition. We enjoyed every bit of our stay and will recommend Mel Ville to anyone who wants to visit Pondicherry. We strongly recommend that you try some of the food that is on offer (homemade).

The Pearl apartment we stayed in was a perfect for us, spotless clean and well appointed with an ensuite for each room. The attention to detail and care shown to us by hosts Anup and Mehak was second to none!

Awesome place we stayed here on Christmas very convenient city center and near to beach and food joints and shopping. Very near to french colony and Ashram Very friendly service appartments and nice and good homely food People should visit Melville its awesome experience.

Melville. That would be the best part of pondicherry visit. We are couple with a 3 year old kid and a dog. We have been travelling through out India and staying at home stays due to our pet. We visited Pondicherry recently and were looking for a place to stay. We ended up at Melville. Due to our Good Luck. Anup and Mehak are awesome hosts. Not for a minute we felt that we were travellers. It was like visiting a family. Both of them are exceptional which is also very evident by their home stay. Its in one of the best locations. Walkable from serene Aurobindo Ashram and right next to white town. Promenade is also within 10 mins walk. But it's not its location which is USP of Melville but the people. They are adorable and very full of hospitality. Anup is very diligent and responsive. He ensures that you are comfortable and relaxed. Mehak is a super woman. She handles here household i. E. Everyone who stays and works at Melville. Her food is too finger licking and drinks/juices for die for. Must try are her gingerelle and carrot juice. We highly recommend that while in Pondicherry must stay at Melville. We could only stay for 2 nights but anyone can spend a full week. Must see are the terrace kitchen garden. They grow basic veggies on their roof. Thanks Mehak and Anup for hosting us. Hope to visit you guys again.

Awesome place to stay with family. We stayed there for 6 days in the quartz apartment in terrace. Kids enjoyed the stay and refused to vacate the premises, literally. Mehak's home cooked food and complimentary food was awesome, it's more like another home in Pudhucherry. Anup and Mehak made our stay memorable and helped with many other things like guiding local places, hospital etc. Thanks for your hospitality guys. Only one drawback — There was a shutdown during our stay for two hours, which made it discomfort as there was no backup generator or invertor. Other than everything was awesome.

We were friends going for a break and we were a large group of 22ladies. The hostesses Anup and Mehak made our stay very memorable and fantastic.
Apartments were very clean and well equipped. We had occupied all the floors of Met Ville, except the part of the floor where Anup and Mehak lived!.
Anup, came to the station (arrival and departure) with a specially arranged mini bus for us and made sure our luggage were taken care of and we boarded the train back safely!
Mel Ville, also is very close to the promenade (♥ of Pondicherry). Infact walking distance.
Masala chai (on special request) and home made breakfast made us feel more at "home"!
They also helped us with the local transport as it was pouring on one of the days we stayed there!

Very friendly and approachable hosts. The property was well kept and had a homely feel about the whole experience. Made our stay at Pondicherry considerably better.

The place is centrally located, spacious very well maintained and you can't ask for better hosts! Mehak is an awesome cook and Anup is ever helpful. They made our trip better many times!

Stay at Mel Ville with my wife and 3 year old child was a very pleasant experience. The place is very near to most of the popular destinations in Pondicherry. The room was very clean and well maintained. Hosts were very friendly and caring. Need to mention about the food they serve also… For the last day, we've ordered breakfast and it was truly a mouth watering experience. She even baked a cake for my child as a compliment which was a delight. We could have ordered during all the days of our stay. The hosts made us feel at home and completely enjoyed the stay.

Spacious rooms, economical and home like. The food they make is home cooked and tasty and healthy. Located at the ideal place in pondi. There is also a kitchen which is well equipped. Place worth staying.

Clean, comfortable and safe stay. Home cooked food is available, and it's delicious. Owners are happy to suggest must visit places and help with other small arrangements that one might require, like Auto etc. Stay was completely value for money.

The apartment on the top floor is beautiful and well maintained, with a full kitchen. The female host is very nice, arranged a new router for us when the internet wasn't working, made us incredible food, and was very warm and helpful. The male host was not as welcoming and demanded we pay for the entire stay up front in cash. We, like, most foreign visitors, didn't have enough cash on us and he bothered us everyday for the money. I suggest they email all their bookings ahead of time to make the payment policy clear, otherwise, ask for a smaller deposit upfront, OR EVEN better… get a credit card machine. Otherwise, highly recommended.
