Good property to enjoy with family. Courteous staff. Nice ambience. Good & neat rooms with good facilities. Nice games for kids. Some r free & some chargeable. Dental & shaving kits r not provided. It should be at least for one time. Location is at very nice place & awesome view of entire Ooty from hotel.

Very nice place to spend with your family. We spent 3 nights here and loved it. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful. The restaurants serve some wonderful food and the buffet spreads are great. Overall, we had a memorable stay here.

Well maintained resort. The staff are quick to respond and helpful. However, would suggest having a nurse or doctor on site, since we were faced with a minor medical emergency and could not reach a doctor soon enough. The staff did provide with a wheelchair and medical information.

The facility is situated in Ooty. Site is very good. Ambience, amenities are admirable. The only problem is the place is so situated that you have to use resort restaurant for food. Otherwise traveling cost for alternate restaurants are to high. Needless to mention that quality wise food at sterling resorts is to costly. If you are coming with your own vehicle then nothing like that. However, you need to be an excellent driver to drive at hilly place like Ooty. Finally, one should visit Ooty once. The place is so beautiful that you won't like to leave it.

I think this place is one of those where u feel at home. Every one working there is so well behaved and considerate. Resort manager Mr. Jain Kumar is a special person I should say. He takes personal interest to make things comfortable. The property location is good and food hygiene is very well taken care of. You are sure to have a wonderful stay there.

One of the best place to stay in Ooty with spacious rooms and stunning view from rooms makes it a memorable stay. Lot if in-house activities available at the property which will keep the guest engaged. Breakfast was delicious with decent spread. Room ameneties we're of high standards along with excellent services. Welcome drink is something which one should not miss. Overall, a perfect place and an ideal for all type of travellers.

The room information shared on websites during reservation of this property is not the same as what you are offered when you arrive. We booked 2 suites in this property for a 2 night stay in April 2018. We paid a premium price for attached balconies but none of them had those. On enquiring with the staff we were told that those are only for members of Sterling. We said that in that case the booking information on websites was not correct. The staff replied that they will look into it and have it corrected… what a way to deal with the issue. The bathrooms were at the best miniature… nothing close to the pictures that you see online. The shower area was so tiny that it was practically impossible to take a comfortable shower. I had great expectations from Sterling but this experience ruined it all. So anyone who is booking a stay here should double check and get in writing from the staff what room features will be made available to them.

Great experience. Great staff. Stay was beautiful and they kept asking every single moment if the stay was beautiful. Loved the place too! Clean and hygienic. Food was also good. Do carry sweater!

Very good resort to relax. Staff can be more helpful to give details about places to visit and the timings etc. To all my queries, they kept saying to refer web sites or call and find out myself. I did that but being local, I felt they can give better details. Also there was communication gap in the Holiday Activity team with whom we were checking for the morning trekking activity and were being told there was only one guide and he was occupied. Later we came to know from the manager that there were more people whip could have taken us but that was on the last day we were checking out.

Nice place to stay and enjoy the beautiful Ooty weather. Staff is friendly and cooperative. Get an awesome view of city and valley from hill. They have nice play area fornkids. Lot of observation areas. Room has heater to manage cold weather. There food is also decent and tasty.

This is one of the best holiday resort/hotels. It is easily accessible from both the railway station and bus stand and offers a scenic beauty of the queen of hills. The place is well maintained and the staffs are warm and welcoming. The amenities and the adventurous package that you get with the stay is a bonus point to be mentioned. This place serves buffet mode breakfast. They do offer transport services on request. Usually, the place is full during summer. You might want to reserve them well in advance, if planning during April — June.

Friendly staff, neat place. Good view of city and valley. Has a telescope. Good buffet spread for breakfast and dinner. Activities for 5 to 10 year kids could be introduced that would take some load away from parents.

The resort is a bit far from bus stop. U will have to take an auto or you can go in own vehicle if you have rented one. (In Ooty many bike rentals are available) but it's worth it. The view from hotel is mesmerizing. Don't miss the free breakfast buffet. You can enjoy piping hot parathas and other items in the cold weather. It has all required facilities and the hotel staff is also really good.

The property has good views, rooms and services. I like Sterling Fern hill more as there are cottages available there and it’s more attractive than the ELK Hill. Activities are provided and Bonfires are also conducted. A very good getaway place for the weekend.

It was an amazing experience. I got a free upgrade and a complimentary cake for my wife's birthday. I even got a free photo session. There are daily activities like bonfire and games. The staff was very polite.

Extremely Disappointing Staff Service. We feel as if like they are our boss. Room service will have no response until we call multiple times. I had to call 4 times for a bottle of water which was delivered after 1.5 hours. Staff behavior is pathetic. Never ever will choose this property for a visit again. Besides at the time of checkout, they added extra amount of 2450 for no reason and then when I questioned, he told. It was by mistake. Such a thieves out there in the reception.

Good facilities but staff need more training. If one is not alert they tend to over charge without proper bill. Except for the staff the location and facilities are top class.

Great hotel with great views of the entire city. Breakfast was good too with good options. Have binoculars on the roof top to have a better view. The view just from the other side of the road itself is nice.

Among one of the great resorts in Ooty. Has lots of facilities for everyone (kids indoor & outdoor, indoor games for adults, etc. ) and they conduct small events to keep guests entertained. Parking is sufficient. Staff are friendly. Breakfast buffet is very good, should suit a wide range of people. But rooms are small for the asking price.

Superb place on top of the hill. Everything was good. Had to walk within the hotel for food or to get out. As usual toads are in bad condition to this hotel.

Awesome place to stay, such a amazing stunning atmosphere. All staff members are very good. Very friendly staffs like saaba she is very helpful. Clean & nice and well maintained rooms. Good hospitality. Food was so yummy & tasty and good, big hats off to kitchen team. Love this place to visit again.

I love it… Perfect place to enjoy… Very good and decent services by the managements… If there is six star… I'll register six star to elk hill… Congratulations elk hill… I can personally suggest elk hill if anyone asked me… The only thing I feel sad was the connecting road to elk hill was very poor… (it's not their mistake… But they should consider this)

Pretty Large resort with breathtaking views. Approach road is a bit steep. Lots of options for kids to play, has an observatory too. Cons: Buffets are expensive and a lot of the leftover food is recycled between meals. I have noticed several instances of stale bread/cupcakes/etc and notified the management too, but no action was taken. Avoid food here and be happy.

The resort is overall small, but the hospitality of the staff members is very warm. They are so helpful and the service is on time. Neelam the manager is very helpful and sweet. The food is awesome! The rooms generous and have that cozy feeling to it. My only complaint would be that the rooms are not well insulated. The noise from the room beside me and the people walking down the hall way just seep in through. Also the kitchen needs a lot of improvement, like the addition of an electric stove would do a lot of help. Instead of relying on just a microwave to cook. The view from my room 324 is simply staggering! I recommend this room. The packages offered for sightseeing is worth and recommended. Overall I rate it 4.5/5.

Awesome location with a scenic birds eye view of ooty. Awesome staff who is always ready to help. Good restaurant and inroom dining option with many options to choose from. Lot of holiday activities to spent time. Overall a good place to choose if you happen to be at ooty.

Wonderful experience. Though located at the end of a difficult road, and most roads here in this location are no different, once you reach there it is awesome. Restaurant is bit costly. Good rooms and services. Children's activities and garden good.

Average place. Equipped but poorly staffed. Present staff is overworked and unable to handle all the guests. Gym is of poorly equipped just there for namesake.

The rooms were bit congested (very small) butwas clean and well equipped, the view was good, service is very pathetic and very slow, had to ask 2-3 times for any thing you want them to do. On check out the manager was very apologetic and gave us a discount. 3 star for him only.

It's a nice place to spend your vacation. There is lot of entertaining stuff in this resort. You need not plan for any outing, instead you can spend your day in this resort. You have a gym and a spa which will help you to relax from your stress. The rooms are awesome. This is really a nice place to spend holiday with your family happily.

It's wonderful resort with picturesque view. It's probably on the highest peak in Ooty and had many options to delight it's guest experience. It's located in vast land scape and has ample greenery. Kids park, holiday activity center which includes many indoor games like play station, carrom, table tennis and popular board games. It also has gym and spa. Bonfire and DJ every night is all delight full. Only let down is unavailability of Internet in room and absence of swimming pool. There are multiple restaurant but their prices are slightly on the higher side.

The place and atmosphere are really superb. On service, the staff are polite and friendly. Rooms are spacious and comfortable but beds need to be revamped in a big way. Food options are good but lacking international and continental varieties. Though printed in the in-room menu, no publicity of any activities are there in the lobby or lounges. But views are always good from anywhere. Overall a nice good stay for couple of days.

Very poor and bad service. Today is my 1 st day very very disappointed and very poor Wi-Fi and I request never choose like this disappointed hotel. Its zero star.

Excellent location… Beautiful scenery. Well maintained resort. Best for a couple and family. Reaching this is little difficult. You should have your own vehicle.

My wife and I arrived on 19 Feb and stayed till 21 Feb 16 at Elk. We were with 82 others who travelled from different parts of the country,. Mr. Prem and his staff in front office were receptive, polite and good. Catering was very well taken care of and varieties were served with none to complain. We were in Room 437. Attendants Radha & Suganya gave excellent service. Having travelled to several countries, U. S. France, Dubai and Muscat, we would say that the service was on par with the services we had elsewhere. Very bad dungeon rooms. No view of outside from rooms. If you are a member they don't bother about your stay. They hardly listen to your complaints. Very bad staffs. Not good food. Totally a spoiled Holiday. There are so many resorts and hotels better then this one. We left the place a day earlier. Please do not spoil your holiday in a Dungeon.

Great rooms, awesome view, well maintained hotel, newly renovated. But bad bad bad food, completely blank food. Helpful n polite staff. Rooms 4 on 5 (a bit small) Staff n front desk 4 on 5 (to be better dressed n presentable n lack of local info) Food n breakfast 1 on 5 (never had worst than this ever in life) Housekeeping 2 on 5 (slow service, no refills done, need to request thm again n again) Club house under renovation.

Firstly it's very difficult to get to the hotel in Ooty. Because there is another Elk Hill area and road which is some distance away. Even the couple of sign boards on the way for directions to the hotel are contradictory and inaccurate. For example a sign board showing 0.2 km when you have to travel close to 1km. Only option is to ask people around. When you ask people, ask for Sterling Elk Hill. The hotel lobby is impressive and customer service staff are courteous. The room interior was renovated but the passage ways were poorly lit and not renovated, very contrasting! Apparently part of the building is under renovation. Another disappointment was there is no separate driver quarters. They are supposed to sleep in the car. For a place like Ooty this is intolerable. Plus blankets for then are provided for a charge ₹12 per night! Another bad thing is the one bedroom rooms can house 4 but has only one old model and poorly functioning heater in the bedroom. Sad that even upon renovation they did not think of centralized heating. The dining area has excellent customer service especially from Mr Kumaran. But the 3-meal package overall was very costly for the options available. Even for Sterling members. Food is tasty though. Overall OK but can improve on various fronts.
