The rooms were too small. With only a little space to even walk. But the up side is that it has very good amenities including a very large play area and Games Room for kids and for the grown ups. If you are looking for good immunity is rather than for a good room then you should go for it. The food quality is fine not that great. The hotel is situated on the top of a hill and only if you take a Hill View room you will enjoy the view otherwise if you take a normal room you will just have to enjoy the mountain facing view.

Amazing hotel and hospitality. View is absolutely mesmerising. Full marks for greenery and garden maintenance. Staff is really polite and this hotel is located on hill top. We had a stay for 3 days and it was an amazing experience. If visiting Ooty, this is an amazing option for stay.

Location and service are it's key attractions. The views from the hotel are the best in Ooty. The staff, especially Atanu Das, the f&b manager is a gem. Best food in Ooty is available at the hotel. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Washrooms are also clean and modern with all day running hot water.

It is a beautiful hotel on the hill top. Though you can't see much from the hotel rooms, the view surrounding the hotel is breathtaking. We took the forest view hotel room and were fortunate enough to spot a few Malabar Giant squirrels from the room window. The Tea factory and museum is close by and walk-able. Here you can see tea production, get one complimentary tea and can also buy a variety of tea powders, chocolates and essential oils. Since it is on the hill top, the rest of the tourist areas like Botanical garden is a little far from the hotel and you will need to book your own cab to visit these places. The service at the hotel is decent and breakfast options are nice. Must-visit between August-November.

Stayed for 3 nights. Rooms are a bit small but the property is located at prestine location. All facilities available. Huge lawns with many kinds of flowers and birds. Food was very good. Reception can be improved.

Very expensive food. But nice location to enjoy Ooty. U should order 30 minutes before u eat. It's good place for party, meeting, family function. But as I said earlier it's quite costly. Room rates are depends on stock market points. I enjoyed with my cute baby here. Felt like jungle trip while we go to hotel because it's in midst of forest. Try once if you are rich.

One of the best places to stay in Ooty, situated in prime location. Loved their hospitality, food is super delicious in their very own restaurant. The serene lawn makes the place even more beautiful. A place worthy to stay. We felt they need to work little on housekeeping area like to make sure cleaner bathrooms / clean electric kettle after a checkout.

Awesome place. Specially for the couples. Place is good to spend quality time. Cold and Fresh air. Rooms are good. Food was good. But breakfast was mast. Lovely place.

Amazing experience. Worth the money. They also provide you cab to visit places charges are applicable. Food here is too good. The best part of this resort is the breath taking view from the balcony.

Built on a contour, the view of the whole valley is scenic. It has marble inlays and beds that one can bury into. They have designed a private garden space for the patrons to relax and have a small area dedicated as the kids play area. The breakfast has a wide assortment of things to choose from and they also make things to order.

Scenic views, good food and service. We stopped by here for lunch while touring the city. The hotel itself offers accommodation too and you may want to consider it for the same. Do compare it with Hotel Elk Hill which is also good. We had an enjoyable stay there.

The place is a little far from the city but it has beautiful views. The place is spread across 800 acres of land and beautifully constructed. The managers and staff are very welcoming and helpful. The bartender made us amazing drinks and showed us around even though we weren't staying there.

Loved this place, the best part is the front view that the hotel provides. One can see the entire town of Ooty from here. The food is amazing. Buffet breakfast is amazing, never to be missed. The hotel room that I stayed in needs a renovation and could have been better. Cleanliness is maintained all the time. The staff is energetic and always ready to help.

5 Stars to the staff first… then the property & Food. Lovely place on the top of Ooty mountains… Cozy for couples on their honeymoon. Complete privacy… Awesome place to see the Sunset.

Probably the best place to stay after King's Cliff when one is visiting Ooty. We visited Ooty for 4 days. It has bar which opens till 11. It is just behind the Tea Museum that attracts crowd throughout the day. The hotel has put posters of movies shot in Ooty along the corridor which is very interesting.

Good hotel with decent rooms, good views, nice ambience. Food was good. Excellent staff. Situated on a cliff, nicely maintained. Overall good hotel.

The general manager and both the HOD’s are very courteous, behaved, disciplined and helpful along with their whole team. The stay was lovely and has one of the best views available from any hotels in Ooty. The whole place is very well maintained and hygienic as well. The rooms are clean and the food at the restaurant is very tasty. I bet everyone would have a lovely stay here.

Best thing about the place is the garden and the staff comes second. Property is not maintained as you will realize when you take the lift or look around corners of the rooms. The toilet does get flooded since the levels are not right. Food menu is limited and probably the cause of discomfort I am facing on the trip. Suggest you Take the big rooms if you can bargain — the space will ensure comfort and eat safe stuff.

Overall good hotel. It is on a Hill Top that provides an excellent view. But the view is limited to the Lobby (Lobby is the topmost floor, rooms are at the lower). You must have car at your disposal to access the hotel other renting a car for moving up and down must be very expensive. The staff are cooperative. The food was good. Breakfast lacked non-veg options. Cleanliness needs to improve a lot. The towels were not at all white.

Place is nice. They have 2 types of room forest facing and garden facing. Go for garden facing it's better. Food is good as well, but no food served in restaurant or room after 10 30pm. Problem with this hotel they don't give invoice they charge d me 2800 tax but only gave the food invoice but not tax invoice since they gave it in cover I failed to check. Some scam they are doing I think. My hotel bill I paid directly through ibibo and had to pay tax in hotel.

This is one of the best place to spend time. It's awesome. It has a perfect view of the ooty hills. Rooms are really good. It's best for family & friends. It has a huge garden slope and being on a hill itself, has one of the best views in ooty. ☺☺☺

Amazing place at an amazing location at the hilltop. Offers a very comfortable stay with very good amenities and a friendly staff. Would totally recommend this to anyone.

Highly over rated. Been there twice. Service is way below average for a premium hangout like this. The servers act like they are doing you a favour. Food is actually quite good. Drinks are OK. Really wanted to like this place since I heard from others. But two for two — was unimpressed.

There is absolutely no view for deluxe rooms (from the hotel garden it's good). The staffs at the front office are neither helpful nor interested to explain about the facilities. Food is good (but not many options). Card payment was not available. Do not expect a 4 star experience. Approach road is narrow and not clear (bushes not properly trimmed). No activities in the hotel like campfire or any indoor games. You have to ask for a room warmer and that too was of no use : (

The hotel is a very nice place. The best breakfast one can expect and the restaurant staff are very well groomed and best in their job — hospitality unlike their colleagues in front office. Well maintained and very humble & groomed housekeeping staff as well. The front office clerks are absolute useless, illiterate and unprofessional duds. There is no sense of customer service orientation in their attitude or behaviour. They are not fit to be in that job and should be moved to back office positions like laundry or gardening. I pity the poor front office manager who cannot give direct feedback to his staff (surprising). The guest feedback, as simple as NOT TO BE RUDE & UNRULY WITH THE GUESTS & NOT TO BE UNWELCOMING WITH THEIR ATTITUDE, EXPRESSIONS, TONE and LANGUAGE has to go to the MD and he (front office manager) is helpless. The poor front office manager rather has to put up a report to the MD and his bosses will review the guest feedback QUARTERLY and take corrective action. Seems to be a long procedure. Hope someone is going to see, hear, and speak about this feedback.

Courteous staff! Good room and very delicious food, though room service is slightly costly. Breakfast buffet is good with various options. View from hotel garden is amazing. Garden is also well maintained. Housekeeping was done well! Basement play area was slightly damp. Overall it was good experience at Sinclair's retreat Ooty!

The room that we were given was not that good. Specially at the price that we paid, it was not worth. 3 start because the resort is located at good location, right next to Doddabetta Tea Factory. They have big garden. The breakfast was sumptuous. I could not explore much on the other amenities that they provide. It was a pleasant stay but not very good one.

It's a good hotel, but has lots of service issues. And yes. There is no air conditioning In the hotel, which is very weird. I wouldn't go there again.

Sinclair Retreat Ooty is situated Near by tea factories of Doddebatta peaks. Being situated far away (approx 7-8 Km) from the hustle and bustle of the Ooty city, gives refreshing felling. It has total 79 rooms including cottages ranging from Rs. 5000-20000/-. The resort has almost all amenities like play zone for kids, badminton court, Billiards Room & Spa. View of Ooty from the resort of is worthy.

Did not meet my expectations. Service and food was average. They never replaces the linen during our 3 night stay. Later realized I was paying more for havingbooked online.

Wonderfull hill hotel. I miss this place alot. Beautiful garden area. I wish I could get a reservation in this hotel again for my next trip but they are sold out. It is very near to tea factory and is on the highest peak of doddabetta. Very nice hotel.

Great food. Even vegetarians have a lot of options. Great view of city from the balcony. Well maintained place, good parking facility and very courteous staff. Wi-Fi probably can be an issue. Very restricted network.

Nice views from the hotel… its after the tea factory, mainly the children's play area is very good and also for others … gym and spa is also there… good location nice flowers and garden…

This hotel stood up to my expectation. The food was simply great, same as the whole ambience of the hotel. The lawn was neatly kept. The view of Ooty from Sinclairs was awesome. I had a safe and secured feeling at the place. Not too far from Ooty main town. The location is just near to Ooty tea factory. There is also one short cut from Coonor road to Sinclairs without touching Ooty town, but that road is not that great. My final verdict :-Go for it, You will have a nice stay & get tasty food with good access to the tourist destinations … :)

Nice experience, we had only breakfast as per our package, rooms were compact. Nice views, you should have your own transportation.

Worst stay I had in recent times. Rooms were cramped and only folded cots were provided instead of beds. No room to walk. Food caused gastritis and "chinese food is supposed to be like that" as told by the restaurant manager and also one of the most expensive restaurants around. Being far away from Ooty, you won't be able to stroll down for a dinner. Made the worst mistake by booking here.

I stayed here with my family for to 2 day really nice hotel. Nice food, nice view of ooty city. Talking about food break fast really good night dinner buffet that is really two good. I enjoyed my 2 day stay at sinclaris retreat thanks to staffs.

I stayed here with my family for 4 days, nice location courteous staff and particularly the manager Mr. Balaji gave us a warm welcome and looked after us very well. Worth staying here for a family vacation.
