Derby Green is a heritage resort. Fabulous views of the scenic Ooty. Is within walking distance of the local centre. Aesthetically decorated rooms. Proactive staff. Who makes you feel not at home but at a palace and treated like a royal. Food is a bit expensive but worth every rupee. Have activities. Trips and the rest too. Caution. Don't let the "free family photograph" fool you. It's not free. Asked for a ridiculous amount for a soft copy.

Peaceful place with lot of greenery. The property is well maintained. Facing the derby and the city. Less than a km from the Ooty bus stand. Rooms are clean, comfy and not too cramped. Room service is quite expensive. Restaurant is priced little on the higher side. They cancelled the bonfire during our stay which was disappointing. Overall a good stay!

Club Mahindra are amazing at taking care of their guests. From the time we arrived till we checked out, they took care of us very well. The rooms were super clean, the bathroom were very well maintained. We had taken the studio apartment, so they provided everything from plates, spoons, cups and microwave. Most surprising was they provided dish soap and a scrub. They go out of their way to cater to your needs. The food was amazing. They provide different meal packages according to the days you are staying. They have many varieties and even have live kiosk's at dinner. Amazing stay! Thank you Club Mahindra for making our trip memorable.

A good place to chill out. But the view of the hotel is not good at all! All u see are small buildings, a hustling and bustling ST stand of buses. Otherwise the rooms are good, nice fun zone to play.

Nice, comfortable stay. Well appointed room. Good food. The staff does a great job of keeping guests engaged with events and lots of sight seeing trips.

If you have a lot of money to throw then this place is good. 1. The place is awesome due to weather and gardens, will rate 4/5 for this 2. Staffs behavior is not so good, will try to get money out of you by any means. It’s like going to hospital with a insurance, they will find a way to make extra money if you are coming as a corporate customer. U will be charged for meals that you didn’t have, packages u haven’t taken. 3. Meals are okay sometimes, but make sure to make payment after having food. Else they can make you fool later. For my stay it was good once out of 3 meal 4. Room Service — good 5. Entertainment and activities — one of the worst. Example — In a theme called bollywood night, they make us doing corporate team building activities Summary — good for stay only not for any other activities.

Awesome resort and hospitality. This is worthy only for members. The non-member will be entitled to only a smaller room, even if they are willing to pay more. The spa is the best here.

Visited Derby Green in April 2018 and had a great time. This is a heritage property and is well maintained. You can get a good view of the Ooty Race Course from the resort. Thunder World, bus stand and Ooty railway station are all within walking distance. You have the typical Club Mahindra amenities like Kids Play Area, Spa, Gym, Activity Center and Adventure Activity Zone here. Don't think the place has a swimming pool. Activity Center had only few games and was many items were not in good condition. Outside the Activity Center you have a badminton court and basketball ring. The resort is on a terraced terrain and the Activity Center is towards the top, making it tough for elderly or people with limited mobility to get there. Also, we didn't see as much activity being conducted here as we have seen in other Club Mahindra resorts. The Adventure zone is at an even higher level but is in good shape. They currently have 9 rope based activities. Zip line used to be there but is no longer available. DJ and bonfire were there on some of the nights. For us the highlight during the stay was food at the in-house restaurant, Ascot. Quality and quantity were both good. Even though there was wait time due to rush during dinner, the courteous staff and taste of the food made up for that.

Awesome location. The staff could be more friendly and responsive. Beach is almost a private beach. Decor all over is magnificent. Multiple activities to keep you busy. From relaxing to physical activities. A little on the costly side and difficult to get booking if not planned before hand.

One of the best resorts in Ooty but suffers in comparison with other Club Mahindra properties. Hotel type rooms with reasonable amenities, excellent service. Market and good eateries within walking distance. But Ooty itself has lost its charm. It is full of concrete clusters. No more my choice of holiday destination.

At prime location in Ooty. Near bus and railway station. Most beautiful views can be seen from here. Relatively cooler than rest of the city with constant cool breeze. It provides spa and fun activities as well. Provides a peaceful environment. Good place to visit with family.

Nice resort from Club Mahindra, not a very big property but still good place to be. The staff is wonderful and polite. You will find many bengalis in the food and dining department. But all are very humble and helping. Market is very close. Nice experience.

The resort is very well built, heritage building. Well clean rooms etc. Staff are very courteous Location good, can watch race course from balcony of the room. Daily activities are pleasant, enjoyable. Food. Excellent taste n presentation. Food price bit overpriced but still manageable as its a tourist area.

Good location. Can actually walk up from the bus station. The restaurant has a good old world derby ambience, the food was good and the staff courteous. The travel desk seem to give honest options (didn't try to make us use their services as the only option).

It's a heritage property with British style architecture. Friendly and Co operative staff. Nice big rooms. Tea coffee maker in room with tea, sugar and milk powder packets. The buffet spread for dinner and breakfast was really huge and nice. Hair dryer in bathroom. Beds are nice. Good sleep quality. Only thing is it is not a budget hotel.

When visiting Ooty this is a nice place to stay. Not far away from city but a very nice quiet place. Very near to the nature. The food is good. The staff friendly. Rooms are big enough. Had a pleasant stay. You can stay there while enjoying the mountain views at day time and hotel food at night.

The resort has a nice rustic ambience. It's a heritage property, built 129 years ago. The resort has got British Architecture. The studio rooms are nice but smaller than other Club Mahindra resorts. The restaurant is nice but the service is a bit dull. Overall a nice resort for a family Getaway or for a cosy time with your partner.

Good place for a family stay… can spend time in the property itself with many activities. Service is excellent… staffs hospitality was superb. Food taste was mainly focussed on north Indian dishes… need more spread for Non vegetarians.

Approachable neat place with great hospitality. Activity wise a bit low energy. The chef Mr Bisbajeet hospitality is worth enjoying.

Location is average. No scenic view from the room. Rooms are very small with queen size bed. Food is very expensive. Security is big issue here. I left my bag in the common area near restaurant. With in 45 mins it was gone and hotel staff could not trace it. Hotel do not have CCTC cameras in the common area. This is not expected from any such hotel. Guest should feel safe inside such premises. Just the response from staff that they are trying to search for the hag is not sufficient and totally unacceptable. Please avoid this hotel for stay.

Nice resort. Good service. Has adequate parking space and easy to locate. Dinner buffet spread is good. Sleep quality is excellent.

Comfortable stay. The rooms are a bit small. But it's good. Good food. Mahindra keeps its word in that.

The view from the hotel was really good. The staff was receptive, and the team building activities was conducted very well. However, the food serving staff need to improve there behavior towards guest. Rest all is ok.

Extremely courteous staff. Good food. Excellent maintenance. Well manicured lawns. Superb views of Ooty city from the balcony. Spacious room. Only disturbance is the horses standing in the passage in the morning.

The extra bed in the rooms are very shaby and dirty, the rooms are dark, hardly any windows or circulation! Room service and food is great! Bathrooms are clean but small. It's a decent place to stay in close to the train station in the main city!

Well maintained heritage property, neat and clean. Very good ambiance, well maintained rooms. House keeping staff are very polite and helpful, very prompt service. Special mention to the restaurant, the dinner baffet is excellent with very wide range of dishes from starter, main course to deserts. The chefs are very attentive, prepare and gave what ever dish we want. The stay at club Mahindra derby green is a memorable one.

This place is good for long weekend or vacation with family and friends. Kids will enjoy a lot and there are many other games. Older people will also enjoy. The staff and community are good. This place is really awesome.

Great little place, of all the properties, this is the smallest. Total ambience was class, well maintained, though all services are relatively expensive for Ooty standard. The activity center was pretty good, everyday night they manage to have some activity for guests. There's an adventure park up on top and a game room and a spa. Most things costs money. Overall a great value for money, if you have taken Club Manendra membership.

Hi. Me nd my husband stayed in Club Mahindra Derby Green Ooty end of September 2015 and we had an awesome time. The resort is centrally located, beautifully maintained, all the staff were very helpful and the best part the food was just awesome, the spread was too good, we had breakfast and dinner all three days we stayed there and at all the meals the spread was good and taste of food yummy. I would also like to make a special mention of what I obsesrved about the way the staff took extra care of senior citizens who were there. I recommend the place. Jayashree Kannan Chennai.
