After a lot of internet search I finally found this place in Conoor which seemed to be just what my friends and I was looking, for our short weekend getaway.
I'm glad and extremely satisfied that' I chose Sunvaley Homestay.
The best place to be and chill. — Comfy, facilitated, touristy!
It's exactly how their internet pictures look like. So green so beautiful, every corner of the estate is decorated with creative thoughts and rooms to compete with high star rated hotels.
Above all, amazing staff, warm, helpful and catering to all your needs. A restaurant which has picturesque view and even tastier dishes serves breakfast buffet, dinner buffet being super, absolute best at it's taste.
This place let's you enjoy bbq campfire and music, isolated or in groups.
They have their own touristy facilities for sight seeing or jeep ride into the coffee tea estates.
Added advantage is where Sunvalley is located.

We were a group of around 20 people. We had booked the private villa. And trust me if you are visiting the place with a group. Make sure you book the villa only. It was totally worth the money. We absolutely enjoyed this place. Breathtaking view. Great Location. The place has Bonfire and DJ setup in the evening so you can enjoy a full filled evening with your loved ones. The Breakfast is amazing. They have lots of variety. The Dinner arrangements are also quite nice. The overal feel and look of the place is outstanding. I would surely recommend this place to everyone! A must stay place in Coonoor! All and all. Our entire experience was AMAZZINGG!

Words cannot express how lovely and beautiful this place is. Tucked away from the city center amidst a tea estate, the view is mesmerizing.
We took a family room and a penthouse couples room with a balcony. The view from both the rooms was breathtaking! The property is amazing.
Now coming to the staff and amenities: we left everything to them, starting from the rlway station transfers, local sightseeing, food. They took care of EVERYTHING to perfection.
The food they prepare is delicious and will put a lot of high end restaurants to shame.
Over all Babu, Raghav & team are super polite made this trip to Conoor a memorable one.
We will be back. P. S special mention to the two lovable Labradors Soney and Honey who makes all the visitors want to take them back home with them.

The resort has a beautiful campus, the suite room is very spacious and suitable for family vacations. The homestay staff provides excellent service. The place also has access to a tea estate through which estate walks can be done. This is also home to 2 wonderful, well trained dogs, who will play with you and entertain you. The place also provides excellent accommodation and food for drivers of guests, if they come by taxis. The only downside to be said of the place is the access road, which is a bit tight and in bad condition. Buses may not be able to come all the way to the homestay, but worry not, they'll send cars to pick you up.

Location is a bit of a downer. But everything else is excellent — scenery/view, food, hospitality, rooms, cleanliness. I visited this place as a couple and had a great romantic experience.

We had been to Sunvalley Homestay in Coonoor for last 4 days with my family and brother family. It is one of the best place to stay, best location, very neat rooms, excellent maintenance, perfect, hygiene, excellent staff service, excellent food of our choice.
It is more preferable to stay in Coonoor, Subvalley than in Ooty.!

Wonderful view from the hotel. Like living in a dream. Excellent staffs. Food was delicious. All in all 5star. Oh must mention the friendly puppy name "Soni", who stolen my heart.

Entrance road is too narrow but once you enter sunvally it's very nice. All staff fantastic and very receptive. Breakfast very good. Rooms very good net and clean.

Spent two nights and 3 days here. The view and the scenery is terrific. The hospitality is the best I have ever experienced. The food (stayed for breakfast and dinner) is good. Made to order, fresh and served hot. The rooms are clean and maintained well. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. Stay in Coonoor at this place and then travel to Ooty and nearby sightseeing spots rather than staying in the city with traffic. Would definitely return to this place during next visit.

Amazing place to visit. Relax, with beautiful surroundings of tea gardens. Excellent place to stay with very nice hospitality, professional and courteous staff, excellent food, excellent people, must visit place.

A beautiful place to relax with nature. The home stay is placed inside tea estate the view from there is wordless. The road way to reach home stay is trilling, very narrow and deep side. The food is awesome and they hospitality was too excellent. You can feel the home stay. The room is good and neat with bot hot and normal water option. You can sit in the room and enjoy the nature by taking coffee. Planning with family or friends it's a good place to stay with pleasure of nature.

Rightly rated as the best resort on tripadvisor. The view is one to die for. Be it a family holiday or just with the spouse, this place is best for any kind of holiday. The hospitable staff is like icing on the cake. Made our holiday memorable!

Sunvalley is an excellent place to stay with our family. I would really like to highlight the fact that the Staff were well behaved and they give a feel like our family members. The Executive room which we stayed was neat, clean and had a beautiful view of the estate nearby. I have never seen any resort providing such variety of delicious breakfast. You will definitely love the Food, as it were like Home made dishes. And the way they take care gives us a warm homely feel. They arranged good transport facilities to see all the places in and around Ooty. The estate walk was awesome. There was a well trained dog that would accompany us when we move around the estate. If you really want to relax yourself from the hustle and bustle City life, I would STRONGLY recommend Sunvalley. Kudos to the entire Staff & Management for making Sunvalley THE BEST :) :) :) Keep rocking people. You deserve this & more!

Very good rooms. Good view of tea estate place is clean good hospitality. Good food well mannered staff. However the approach road is not good. Over all very happy with the experience like to visit again.

Its easily one of the best resorts in coonoor. The approach roads are a bit narrow through the Village but once u reach the resort you will be greeted with a great view. The property is attached to a big estate, the view from the room is very scenic, best part you can spend good time walking through the estate with their trained dog accompanying us all through. The rooms are very neat and cosy, totally worth the money. Only the bathrooms are a bit small, but its sufficient. The food is very good, feels totally home made. The staffs are very friendly. It's a very good place for family and couples.

Ultra courteous staff, superb locations and views and excellent services are the hallmark of Sun Valley. We stayed 3 nights in Dec 2017 and the owner greeted us every day. The food is delicious and a walk through the surrounding tea gardens indeed refreshing! Must stay location to experience the real Coonor — serene and calm with warm hospitality. Will definitely come here again!

We loved our stay at Sunvalley Homestay in early December. Great food (though moderately expensive), very friendly and professional staff and spacious and clean rooms. The view from the property is lovely. Would certainly stay there again. The approach road is quite narrow and there is nothing to do within walking distance with the center of the town being a couple of kilometers away.

Located at the edge of a tea estate. Approach road is ok even if a little narrow in some places. The rooms overlook the tea estate and the locale is very pleasing on the eye. The rooms are very spacious even if the sit out is cramped for 2 people. You can take walks in the estate. The food is basically local food. Service is very friendly and good. The place lacks a bar even if alcohol is delivered.

Good home stay surrounded with greenery and tea estate. It is a sleeping beauty. Hospitality in this home stay is really appreciable, they are very courteous. Rooms are neatly maintained with good amenities. It is value for money.

Breath taking view from around the establishment and from the rooms. It's surrounded with tea gardens and you can stroll through the gardens over the hills. We walked across the gardens stretching over multiple hills for kilometers. Our most trusted guide and companion was Soni, a adorable Labrador from the establishment. The staffs were very friendly and caring about every minute concerns we had. We spent many hours just talking with the staffs. The hotel charge was little bit on the higher side but our expenses were well worth and I am ready to visit this place again 10 times.

Excellent views towards back side of the building only with Tea estates. Very caring people especially for children. There is no Tea maker in the Room which is not good when we see the cost. The road that connects to this place is very narrow.

Amazing stay, extremely good service, and awesome food. Staff is very courteous and takes care of everything. Rameez from the staff was taking care of us and he was very good at serving, helping out and very well mannered. This place is located just 15 minutes to Sim's park, 25 minutes to Dolphin nose, 15 minutes to Wellington lake and 10 minutes to Railway station, so found it very convenient. Recommend it to all.

This is a resort cum homestay … Located in the midst of a tea plantation. It has picturesque view of the plantation from all the rooms. The rooms are spacious, have a small balcony which opens the view of the tea estate. They also provide free guided tour of the same. The restaurant doesn't have a very lavish spread but the food is very much home like. But this isn't the usp of this place. Their service and the helpfulness is what sets them apart. We traveled with our 8 mo old daughter and had to use their kitchen to sterilize milk bottles and water. They were more than happy to help and helped us even when their kitchen was closed. All the staff were very helpful and courteous. We loved our stay there. Highly recommended!

I have recently visited Ooty and Coonoor with my family and stayed about 3 nights and 3 days in Sunvalley Homestay. I would like to take a privilege to share my experience and the same has been detailed below. • The first thing I would like to thank each and every one from the bottom to top level designated peoples. Because, everyone is doing good job. We can able to see/feel their work result in terms of arranging the things, cleaning the rooms and places, asking the requirements from the tourists in a humble manner etc. Etc. • I would like to place my special and honest thank to Ms. Anisha and Mr. Sarath. I have asked so many questions to Ms. Anisha before giving the confirmation. Yes. People are working for earnings so they have to give the answer to their customers. But the way to give answer to the people is something different and really we need a skill for this work. Ms. Anisha has qualified for that. Thanks a lot Ms. Anisha for your entire arrangements and support. Congratulations! and we wish you a very healthy life to your family and your kid. Mr. Sarath, he is a very respectful person. The way he is treating the people is awesome. Thank you very much Mr. Sarath for all the arrangements. • The hotel environment is too good. Well cleaned rooms and cloths, wonderful food and Safe place. I don’t feel a hotel atmosphere there. This hotel is looks like a guest house and we can able to feel a homely ambience.

We had been to Sunvalley in Coonnor in May15, on approach road we are bit puzzled but the Sunvalley Homestay is simply amazing. — Full marks to location, I never had better view of tea plantation than this. Beautiful view from the terrace — Food. Its delicious homemade food. Very testy and specially our kids enjoyed. — Spacious rooms and Very clean. — Entire staff is very positive. Always with smiling faces. Serving like family members. Hats-off — Body Massage facilities are also very good. — Lastly, its more value for money, far far better than any any crowed resort. Spellbound about everything at this place. I have stayed at 5 Star hotels before but never experienced such hospitality and ready to help attitude. Such kind people and ever smiling. We were a group of 18 members and booked the entire villa and everyone enjoyed to the fullest. What a view from the balcony. Whatever you ate was so tasty. Loved the Kerala mutton curry, kerala partha, biryani, fish curry. The list will go on. We are from Chennai, wanted to be in the hills for the New Year 2015. After checking the website and based on few travellers review in Tripadvisor, we chose Sunvalley HomeStay to spend a relaxing holiday. It was very good decision. We stayed there from 01-Jan-2015 to 04-Jan-2015. The room was well maintained and clean; had a wonderful view of the Tea Estate. The hospitality shown by the staffs were too good and the best part was the food. Very tasty, hot food was served — both the complimentary breakfast and the al-carte dinner we ordered was awesome. They catered to our need and made whatever food we ordered. Will definitely suggest this to my friends, clients and all readers of this blog. Thanks Sunvalley for making our stay a memorable one.

We had a splendid experience with Sunvalley home stay in Conoor. We enjoyed the beautiful views from the balcony and enjoyed walking in lush green tea gardens surrounded. The cleanliness and hospitality of the staff were good and we definitely would like to visit this place again.

We stayed in Sunvalley Homestay in early November we felt more comfort here like home. Most important thing is that all the staffs are very good and always smiling. Food is extremely awesome especially the breakfast. The view from the balcony is very eye pleasing. Apart from the last stretch of the approach road, everything was fine. Will highly recommend this place for a unique get together.
