They can't improve… I've been staying here since it opened, and it's only heading South in terms of quality and service. The less said about F&B, the better… Couldn't even serve a cup of tea in an hour! No service worth speaking about nor the food in general… No privacy in most rooms as they don't share a soundproof partition with the adjacent rooms! Their staff keep the duty manager and the General Manager shielded from the guests… Unfit to be a Marriott property.

Banquet team is pathetic. Phone extensions did not work today. Escalation matrix is not available. No forum to raise customer concerns. Reached reception to support and they mentioned to call back and they never called back. 20 times I would have called but chennai banquet team has not been responding. Very disappointed.

Had two men who are guests at the hotel come into my room at 10.30 PM. They were apologetic but I have no idea how and why they had the key to my room when theirs was another room on the same floor. Raised it up immediately with the manager and he said he will take it up immediately and investigate and said he wud meet me the next morning when I check out. The next morning there was no manager in sight and the people at the reception had no clue about the incident nor was there any answer to how it happened. Clearly there was no investigation done. Being a security issue I would think it should have been taken up through the night. They clearly don't care and I doubt they have any system or process to track who gets keys to which room. Safety is a big concern.
Did not expect it from A MARRIOTT hotel.

Great place to stay. Very nice rooms and great staff. Ended up spending my birthday her alone and they made me feel right at home. Even surprised me with a towel Birthday cake and balloons. If your in Channai I highly recommend this place especially if your from the “west”. Rooms are comfortable and very clean.

Hotel is located in a prime location which is currently affected by ongoing metro constructions on the approach road. Rooms are newly renovated and spacious & comfortable. Complimentary breakfast has wide range of options to savor dietary needs for almost everyone. Reception staffs, supporting staffs are very responsive and delivered excellent service with utmost efficiency.

Courtyard Marriott Chennai has been the best Courtyard Marriott hotel I have ever been to. And believe me, I have actually been to quite a few of those — in different countries. The hotel is very modern. Most of the functionalities within the hotel as well as the room are digital. Starts right from the lift. The room also has switches which are completely digital. The rooms are spacious, not doubt. I have been in a twin room as well as a King size room. Both were just great. The room structure is pretty uniquely designed and the space has been used fantastically. The best part is it does not at all feel any bit cramped up. The staff were the perfect hosts, extremely professional and always supportive to make sure that you have a great stay. Bathrooms were clean, large enough and had all the toiletries that you might need during your stay there — soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, shaving and dental kits, comb as well as a shower cap. Their menu has food ranging from local delicacies, oriental dishes as well as western dishes with options for both vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians. The food can be had in their in-house restaurant, Paprika or you may also order room service. The room service guys are just great and you would get your food in around 30 minutes against the quoted 45 minutes. However, I felt that the price was too much and could be better justified. The taste was pretty good, nevertheless.

Marriott as usual upheld their reputation. I have always found my stay in Marriott as comfortable as possible. They upgraded my room and the room was super spacious for a single person The breakfast was full of sumptuous South Indian delicacies. The biggest advantage was that it was just opposite my office where I was visiting. So it was perfect for staying in Chennai I shall like to stay with them next time too.

Right in the middle of Chennai City, you will find this hotel as one of the best in city. Vicinity to railway station, airport, bus stand so if you are visiting Chennai for leisure or holiday then it is one the best places to stay. As far as facilities are concerned, they have it all. Although you may not find a swimming pool, but be mindful that Marina beach (although it is not a great beach to b) but is very near. The staff was helpful and courtious. Lounge was a great place to relax in the evening. Food was great. During my 15 days stay, I ordered food out of the menu and each time I was surprised with the food content and taste.

The rooms are large and quite comfortable, and the hotel itself is extremely clean. Good place to stay with the family. The staff is very courteous and always ready to help. Gurpartap at the front desk took care of our every need. The buffet spread was great and the executive lounge had reasonably good food but lacked a good selection of drinks. Our stay was wonderful.

This hotel stands out clearly due to its staff and service. I haven't found much hotels with such courteous staff and such amazing service levels. The rooms have been ronnovated recently and they are very good. The breakfast spread is vast and we will find everything which look for. The food is a key highlight here and it's very good. Tip: the room service might be a bit slow, so be sure to order your food well before time.

Ambience was good. There was a plenty of starters and desserts but sadly there were only few items in main course, especially in veg section. There was non veg biriyani but none in veg section. Why this disparity? Finally when the bill came we were in for a shock as they charged RS. 1700/ — per head while booking the table we were told RS. 1000/ — net. After our pointing out, they sent a revised bill. Does not augur for a big star hotel which amounted to cheating. So one has to be careful and need to check their bill before settling.

Hotel is good and very well maintained, friendly staff. I think they have either renovated or it's a comparatively new property. Only drawback is metro work is going on in front of it, otherwise it is good location wise. Specially it is nearby the US embassy hence a lot of people prefer it. The rooms are good and spacious. One drawback of the property is that they don't have any open space to walk or sit down and relax.

Great place to stay for business traveler. Well furnished rooms, wonderful service. Generous staff alway exceeding expectations. Short eats served in executive lounge could be bit better, but not even close to deal breaker.

We were there for only a night stay. The hotel is good and they have maintained it really well. The lobby was also good but it's not that big. The hotel is located inside the city itself. Its a great place to stay and explore the city. The rooms were clean and please do note that the ordinary double rooms are not that big. Its a medium sized room. The bathroom was awesome. Thw staffs were really friendly and they helped us a lot. The most annoying and the worst thing is that it doesn't have a swimming pool. There is no photo spot in this hotel. There is no garden and everything looks commercial. The entrance is small either. The building looks quiet old now. I thing they would have to paint and make it look new. Their is nothing attractive here. It was a good stay but I expected a better hotel by marriott.

Awesome rooms, great service. Lounge access is an additional bonus if you are staying in the executive rooms. Great breakfast spread and the servers are really polite and good.

Absolutely loved it. Right from the rooms, service and food everything was good. Stayed there for a office visit for 5 days. Very well maintained.

It been a great place. I have been there for 5 days for attending a meeting. The staffs are very corporative. The food especially is very nice. The security system which they have been providing made them unique from others.

Nice ambiance and food. I couple of times had dinner in paprika, their buffet restaurant and it was really good. They have a good spread, especially on sundays, the brunch is really awesome.

Overall good place. But renovation and road construction limits access. Not one of the best Marriott hotels I have stayed in India, but overall staff is very cooperative. Food can improve.

Extremely pleased with the gym. I didn't stay in this hotel but mom stayed during Chennai floods. They treated them very nicely as if they were their own parents. I joined the gym on monthly basis and Prasad and Gautam are nice. Very nice humble people. Food smelt good but didn't taste as I wanna reduce 20 lb. Very neat and tidy.

Hotel room is located in a large construction site. Suitable f Rollstuhlfarer. Rooms are big and clean. Buffet for European guests. Nice staff.
Disadvantage is a very small pool in the backyard. Annoying is the construction site which will certainly still be available for a long time. A subway to Chennai airport is being built.

Great service and value for money, no matter what some of the people below/above may have mentioned. You would have to be some kind of a snob to have complaints about a place at that price. Location is also a major plus. Special shoutout to the chef Kuldeep Singh for great food, the enthusiasm and spontaneity. Also a special mention to the staff responsible for cleaning, because I always came back to a spotless room with all the consumables replenished. That s the kind of service you wouldn't mind going back to.

Great place at a central location. Service is outstanding. Rooms are modern and quite spacious for a city hotel. Breakfast buffet is amazing. Gym and spa are also good. Only negative with metro work it is a little confusing to find the entrance to the hotel.

Courtyard hotels are already known for their hospitality and awesome end to end experience. I had the privilege to stay for a day at the Courtyard in Chennai during December and it was a treat. All your needs from the airport transport, food and room service are taken care of with swift elegance. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, complete with a Christmas tree and gingerbread house and Christmas carols being played in the lobby. Service is done with a smile. Both at the reception and during room service. Apart from this, the team allows for a late checkout so in case of a late flight out, you can use the hotel lobby. All in all a very pleasant stay. Would definitely want to visit again.

Overall experience was good. One can expect star hotel treatment here. No issues with this. But I want to mention few points here. 1. This being a 4 star hotel in Chennai, south India, in room television no Kannada channels available. Not sure what is the reason. This is a clear partiality. I am not happy with this. 2. In hotel room drawers, they have kept few holy books related to different communities. But here Bhagvatgeetha is missing. I am really not happy with it. Management have to respond for this. Except these, I was satisfied with services.

Nice location. Friendly staff. Breakfast is very good. Fast service. And very huge spread. Has a great variety. Rooms are good except there are no views. As it has buildings very close all around. Nice place to stay for one or two days.

Location is horrible. I love the staff. They have renovated the rooms. Same great service in the kitchen and front desk. But the construction out front makes this a horrible place to stay. Constant traffic. And at the middle of the night when there is limited traffic they shut down the road in front so you need to detour. Plan for more than an hour to get to the airport. Until they fix Anna Salai (the road in front) suggest you find a better location.

I went there for a family breakfast outing. We enjoyed a lot. Service was really good. But the menu was less compared to residency towers breakfast. Even the cost is less in residency. But we had a great time there. So happy with that.

I just returned from Chennai and wanted to share my experience at this hotel. I was in Chennai for four days for trip with friends and I visited Courtyard on last weekend with friends. They provided top notch service that was friendly and helpful. I visited many restaurants in Chennai during this visit, as there are many restaurants which serves provide variety of food, but this place made me sense comfortable. I felt like a prince the entire time I was there. We visited this hotel to have some late noon lunch around 1.30pm and were wondering what they would still be serving on Saturday. We decided to opt for buffet. They have varieties of pizza live cooking at counter inside restaurant. The mutton curry was to die for. Mutton biryani too was awesome. Good food & authentic flavor completely love it. Overall, I had a great experience and I would go back to the courtyard again the next time I am in Chennai. I suggest all must try if you want top notch service and food in a quiet and calm place. See you again Chennai.

Very nice business hotel in heart of Chennai. The restaurant offers wide variety and the taste is excellent. You have a wide choice of soups, desserts and there is a separate salad bar. The food quality is excellent and will trigger your taste buds. The chairs in the business meetings are very comfortable for a day long sitting. Hospitality by team is great. This is a hotel for a business lunch with your customer.

I have always loved the food served at Marriott chain of hotels. My husband and I visited Paprika on the occasion of our anniversary. We were waited by Dany and he was very good. Unfortunately the food served that day — Indian veg buffet section wasn't up to the expectation. I tried the panneer corn sabzi and the panneer was not even fresh. The desert we ordered was a Ras Malai — there was no Ras in the malai. I request your desert chef to kindly visit the Residency. The Ras Malai over there is fantastic and the garnishing on that desert is normally pista flakes not big pieces of almonds. Almond flakes rather destroyed the taste of the desert. I am no expert at making but I know my taste buds and I am a foodie. Tiny things please take care of. My Marriot customer number is 2141.

Property is being renovated now. Excellent breakfast spread. From Courtyard almost all four corners of Chennai are easily accessible. Also very close to US Consulate.

This 4 star category hotel is nice place to stay as most of the places are somewhat nearby. The staff is very friendly and humble. All facilities are good. The requirements need to be looked is abt swimming pool (there is no pool in hotel) and also there is scope of improvement in veg food…

Wanted to have a simple dinner yesterday evening before flying home so ordered a salad from the a la carte menu. One of the staff very kindly offered me a bowl of vegetable soup from the buffet line whilst I waited for the salad. Now that's wowing the customer.

I went on a team Lunch to Paprika restaurant today. Got the valet parking and then the welcoming staff guided onto the restaurant. Very Nice ambience, perfect atmosphere to have a good Lunch buffet. Initially I missed the Western and Asian platters because of the huge pillars… Tried Pasta on the Asian… very yummy. Liked the Beetroot halwa as well on desserts. Panneer starter was nice too, but would have liked more Veg starters and at least an ice cream on desserts too… Overall a very rich place to dine in.

Prime location, good hospitality. I have to check in early and checkout late and they agreed with out any hassle. Food in paprika was very nice, lot of varities in live counter for breakfast. Over all good experience but hotel is not clearly visible from the road due to metro construction work.

The work of the Metro does not do justice to this nice hotel.

Courtyard Marriott Chennai is a very nice hotel in the heart of the city. Very attentive service, delicious breakfast, spacious rooms & excellent housekeeping; everyone in the hotel applies their best efforts to please the guests. It was superb! Definitely recommended for an enjoyable stay. I was thanked with some chocolates on my checkout; this was a surprise, thanks to the staff.

Great amenities at a comparatively lower cost than other star hotels…
