Southern Spice — Awesome restuarant with excellent food. Good ambience to spend time.

Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant is just awesome. Ambience and service is great. We enjoyed fried noodles and chilli tofu. The restaurant is spacious enough that noise across tables doesn't disrupt conversation or privacy. Great spead of menu and vegetarian options are balanced. It is our preferred dine out choice.

We had ordered food to be home delivered as a part of a celebration. The time promised was 12.30 to 2.30 and at 4 pm we only got a call from them asking for landmark. I declined n asked them to take back the food. The numerous calls that I made to the manager went unanswered. Such a big organisation should have the courage to pick up the call and explain if there was a problem Not expected from such a brand.

Concierge booked all the cars and took care of me. Overall service, phenomenal. I have only one complaint: My stay wasn't long enough. :) …. Thanks Taj! Hope to see you again soon. ‍♂️

When you enter the hotel you know why it is call Taj. Each and every wall have something to say something to observe. And a mild music played on background which you can hear all over the hotel. Seems like the best hotel ever. And all the event auditorium is equipped with perfect audio system.

Great Italian restaurant in the basement. Loved the food. The ambience and the excellent service. We were a part of 7 and we got a semi private dining area. Great experience.

The rooms are very nice and comfortable and have a very nice service. Delay on service is as usual. Valet parking. A restaurant on the inside, a cafe and a pub named chipstead with good music and dance floor. Has a huge hall for events and weddings, However there are restrictions to where you can take photos.

I visited this place for a conference. The ambience was amazing. Their biscuits and baked items are the best. The food quality was excellent. There was both veg and non — veg. It did not affect our health after consumption which means the food quality is very good. Hospitality was excellent.

It's a nice ambience and the set up is so relaxed. Very friendly staff. They have a class set and meet up the expectations of the guests. I've been to Taj a couple of times earlier. All for meeting. Great place to meet as the set up provides you a professional look and the services available keeps you.

We recently stayed at Taj Coromandel for a wedding in Chennai. An amazing experience. Have to compliment the entire staff who were always so helpful. A huge thank you to the concierge for his guidance, the lady at reception for her advice on shopping (unfortunately couldn’t rem their names) as well as the hairdresser Rani who got up at 4 in the morning — took a bus and a train to reach the hotel at 7 to do my hair. Hotel was very comfortable. Had a lovely dinner at the Southern Spice restaurant. The manager on duty used his creative skills to get the kitchen to whip up a special dessert to satisfy my husbands desire for a warm pudding. Well done guys! Will gladly recommend you to family and friends!

You will get a feeling of royalty in this super beautiful, super clean and spacious property. Nice rooms, tasty food. The spa, hume, pools are so well maintained. I got an early check-in on request and the staff is super courteous. But expect the cost for everything a little on the higher side.

Went to southern spice restaurant with colleagues. They don't have buffet but they do have a combo meal course which offers plenty of choices to pick from with plenty of food vareity. The food tastes more than awesome. The waiting time can be improved. The ambience is very very good. The place will provide a quite romantic time for couples. Overall it's a great experience. Its a must visit place in a lifetime.

Once inside the hotel is excellent. Amazing staff, superb service. Well maintained as per the standards. Staff always has a smile, support is beyond expectations. Food is outstanding. It was a comfortable stay for the group. Would recommend some more groups here.

One of the best business hotels centrally located in Chennai. Close proximity to almost anywhere within the city and a great airport pickup/drop service as well. In-house restaurants offer a wide variety of food and drinks which would be suitable for foreign visitors. DEFINITELY recommend the restaurant Southern Spice to get a great feel of south Indian food and ambience. Very cordial staff.

Stayed at Taj for 2 nights. Pleasant place, with very good service. Food is awesome. Tried in 2 restaurants, could not go to southern spices which too looked great. Must try Gilli Biryani. Loved it.

I visited there for a jewellery expo and felt in love with every bit of it. The temperature control is just right as would suit a tropical climate of Chennai. What was supposed to be a half an hour fling turned out to be a 3 hour of fun. One should definitely try the bakery if he or she has time. The cushion is task comfortable.

Beautiful place to stay at while you're in Chennai. Super friendly staff. The hotel is undergoing renovation so depending on what floor you stay at you'll get to see the old architecture and the new. You'll find pictures of both aisles in the images. There are plenty of food options, my favourite was the south Indian restaurant, Southern Spice. The flavours are just something else. The Italian and the Asian restaurants were great too. At breakfast ask for a village tea, it tastes amazing. If tea isn't your thing their filter coffee is equally good.

Taj Coromandel is best possible Hotel in that area. They have professionals handling all your queries and questions. The hotel layout and interiors are perfect. All the bays, rooms, floors are named and comes with the floor directions. Overall the experience was best.

Excellent hotel. One of Chennai's oldest hotels, but remains modern with excellent rooms, service, restaurants and other amenities. Also has a great ball room and superb meeting facilities.

Check-in and check-out were great. Drivers and travel desk were also excellent. Pool and gym are nice. Service is helpful but overbearing for foreign guests not accustomed to it. Some cultural training could help that. No in room coffee press or maker (instant only). Food is decent but not as good as the quality available elsewhere and not worth the price.

Well situated and not too far from the airport. Very good quality of food and service. Rooms are well maintained and quiet. Restaurant, bar, swimming pool, spa and gym. I think its a good place to stay and I recommend it.

Definitely the experience was exceptional. The service was excellent. Food was beyond good and great value for money. I had dinner there and trust me everything was soooo delicious that I can't really tell you. From starters to dessert everything was just yum. I could go on but suffice it to say that I am very pleased by the gesture service and food. I hope to be back very soon for the buffet in Taj Coromandel… loved it… thumbs up!

Had my buffet dinner there… spread was nt good… very less options for d vegetarians… taste was jst ok… we hd paneer tikka in d starter… nd d paneer was nt soft… no other starter was served… a kind of baby idli was served wid lots of powder in it… whch was d worst part… only d ambience nd d staff was nice… we went to celebrate d first marriage anniversary… nt so good experience…

To all those people who prefer a luxury hotel with good food, this is indeed a right choice. Taj coromandel has good facilities including 4 amazing restaurants of different cuisines. The Hotel contains a multi cuisine restaurant. (anise) — good for buffets. An Italian restaurant (Prego) A Chinese restaurant (The golden dragon) A South Indian restaurant (the southern spice) All the four restaurants are amazing for sumptuous meals. They have a pool which is a bit small, but it is a good pool to chill. A reservation is recommended.

Taj Coromandel hotel located on the main portion of chennai. Have a good parking facility. Good reception with better ambience inside the hotel. The service provided at the hotel is very good and responsive. The best place for a professional event.

I really love this hotel. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff is very helpful and polite. Everything about this hotel is awesome. I especially love the love seat, the swimming pool, the chairs in the water, the bath tub, the special shower massager, the comfy bed with boltsters and the automatic curtains sheers lights and everything else. There is no bad review I would say about this hotel. Hope I come again and will miss this hotel a lot.

Attended a Conference in one Hall. Ambience wonderful. In conference hall Sound system wonderful crisp and clear. AC conditioning very good not too much cold and warm. Digital banner presentation also clean and good. Very comfortably I heard, saw and sat in the conference hall. neatness also great. Lastly food excellent.

Taste of the food is good and they have a hall, which is very big that can accommodate 800 to 1000 guest at a time. It has been a long time they have not repainted outer side of the hotel. It would be good if they do it.

Went to the Chinese restaurant for lunch with family. Food was excellent and it's one of my favorite places for lamb starters. Staff are always super friendly and the service is exceptional. Lovely ambience.

Definitely not a Taj experience. Had been for a conference. Food was really sad. Coffee on day 1 was good and then they went down the drains… soup tasted like a bowl of hot cornflour. Ppl serving didn't bother if we asked for anything. Out of them one of the team member by name Ritesh still tried to manage expectations in this chaos.

This luxury hotel easily accessible and very well located. Most of the media conferences and launches happen at this place. Food quality is really awesome. I like most the south Indian filter coffee they serve.

Forget about the physical hotel, I absolutely adored the service from the staff. Each one of them come across are rich in generosity, curiosity and culture. Not only did I experience being safe in their care, I was constantly greeted with a respectful amount of interest in me as a human being. But it's their openness that allowed me to peek into their lives through conversations, and better undstand Chennai through their lenses. And if they represent the best of what Chennai is capable of, then I am a mix of flattered, loved and inspired.

Bad service. I went here during a rainy night. No valets were available and the staff were very rude. They just dint attend to me and asked me to park the car myself. The person taking order in anise was very busy and he was not even ready to give us the menu card. We ordered what he wanted to. Very bad experience.

One of the finest dining places to stay and/or dine in Chennai. This cozy ambiance and classic Indian interior is a famous landmark in Chennai. Recently we took our foreign delegates for a party in one of the restaurants Southern Spice inside Taj. The foods are traditional South Indian style and arranged to suit locals or international visitors. A strong sense of liking a food is  tasted by all the senses. The atmosphere and ambience, the visually appealing food, aroma of spices, a pleasing taste and sorrounded by loved ones or friends would make a perfect evening. Ending your meal with a dabra coffee is entertaining and enjoyable!

Probably one of the most comfortable hotels to stay in Chennai, was not disappointed. Service and attitude of staff is top notch. Breakfast options could do with a little more explanation / labelling (especially when it comes to the multitude of local breakfast choices as well as the different tea beverages available). I know, I know, I should have asked but some labelling would be nice.

Had been there to celebrate my husband's birthday with my daughter and son-in-law. It was a nice experience. Had been there many times before but this one was special as my son-in-law was accompanying for the first time. The starters were good but you don't get the complete menu if you sit by the table and wait to be served. The spread was awesome with a wide variety of salads baked vegetables and variety of curries. The garlic naans are awesome. The dessert section too had a good lots to drool over. Dont forget to try their strawberry ice cream. Its not on the table you have to ask them for it to be served. Its creamy texture is divine. The ambience is good overlooking the swimming pool. Its nice to spend time over lunch. The chocolate mousse cake which they packed for us was superb.

Taj corrammendal is one place which is filled with warmth and homely feeling I have been staying for years and it's the best in all Be it southern spice or Chinese or team in club lobby in 6 th floor they make your stay unforgettable.
