We are charged double for two matchbox type rooms in Sterling Thekkadi through goibibo from 22/12 to 23/12.11214/ — for two tiny 144sqft rooms was not justified, for this money I could have been able to book good spacious rooms in any star hotel. The food was also very bad. When contacted hotel, they says its Goibibo who eated my money. Very bad experience and feeling cheated. Goibibo or Sterling to refund my excess money 5500/ — earliest. Rooms are very unique and nice. Feels good. Close to nature.

Not very spacious resort. Rooms have good interiors but small bathrooms. Swimming pool was very cold. Good food.

We had stayed sterling thekkady few months before, it was memorable holidays. Rooms and services were excellent. Food was superb… thanks to all staff and management.

Lot of greenary. Nice rooms. Appealing wood panelled walls. Comfortable beds. Bathrooms are disappointing. Old look. Uncomfortable, wrongly designed WC. Old style tiles. Dirty visible old pipes and wash basin. Continuos hot water was a blessing. Very good, well maintained pool and it's surroundings. You have to manage many steps to reach the restaurant, but food is good. Staff are courteous. Parking area is small. Though I did not have an issue, others had. No great views from the rooms, which you might expect from a resort in Thekkady. They have swing and seesaw as part of play area. 3/5 stars. But for the staff the rating would have been worse.

AC didn’t work in our room. Food (buffet) was okay and varieties limited for the price. Rooms were decent and the location is great.

It is not as big as the other Sterling Resorts, but it is a pretty decent one and exclusively maintained resort with all the amenities one might need. You have swimming pool and spa. And some events going on in the evening. So good rooms and the food was reasonably good for the price you pay if your are a member you might find it more convenient.! Overall good experience.

A wood themed resort with good space utilization and a reliable management. The guest rooms are relatively smaller in comparison to other Sterling Resorts. I'd suggest the one bedroom or studio anyday. The swimming pool and the holiday activities (especially the table tennis) were well maintained. Coming to food, the red and white pastas were bland and it's probably a good idea to avoid them. Otherwise, the staff were courteous and helpful. I have stayed at this property twice and have been satisfied with my stay.

Didn't expect that this resort will be so good. I really enjoyed watching children swimming in the crystal clear swimming pool. Rooms were absolutely tip top. Staff were very polite and respectful. Must visit this place when planning to stay in Thekkady.

Really a good stay. The food were amazing. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Rooms also kept nice. A pleasant stay.

The resort is pretty big, with a lot of rooms. Cottages are reserved for members only. Rooms, which are open for regular visitors, can feel a little too small. We added an extra bed for our son, which left almost no room to walk around. Rooms are well equipped though, if a little old. Bathroom fittings are passable at best. All-in-all, not a bad place.

The hotel was very nice.

Nice Resort. Close to the Town. And close to the forest too. Easy to spot giant squirrel, black macaque and horn bill from the rooms balcony. Have lot of activities inside the property. Fish Spa, Zorbing Ball, archery etc.

Good experience overall. High value. Recommended. Pluses: Unique wooden decor, gives a quaint feel-good ambience. Very good service and highly courteous, helpful ever-smiling staff. Food was more than good. Organises dome good trips. Minuses: small property, amenities are limited, does not give a resort like feel (but then the room tariffs are also quite reasonable and not charging as per resort). Bathroom fittings are average. Overall: Highly recommend.

Far too expensive for the offer. Water only morning and evening bad internet dark Rooms.

Very good staff. Place needs good parking options. Front of hotel is blocked by residents. The hotel also needs some work. Leaking taps and loose locks. But I still rate it well due to the overall service of cleanliness and good fresh food. Sterling and Thomas Cook who own this hotel have a good resort in hand which could be better with a few tweaks. Will visit again to see if inputs have been implemented.

Nice hotel but a bit on the outskirts. Around 0.5KM from the local town. Staff is nice and courteous. Food is good and reasonably priced. Two types of accommodation available — classic rooms and studio. Booking is online.

The resort is beautiful. The main building and the cottages look wonderful. There's a pool. You'll enjoy staying here. There's a group of black monkeys and also the regular ones that hang around in the evenings. Nothing to worry about, they mind their own business. If you like spotting animals, you'll find a pair of MALABAR SQUIRRELS in the evenings as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this place.

The food in the buffet is not great and expensive. The property looks a bit dull.

Awesome place to spend time with your whole family. Evening activity is not that active but they have good connections with event organising teams.

Great place, good staff, great food. Would highly recommend. You will find classic room and bed inside room big enough to accommodate one kid and two adults. Rooms do have tea/coffee kettle and refrigerator.

Good place to stay at. Buffet was good. View was all bad as we got corner rooms. Rooms were clean and tidy. Town accessibility is good. Nice pool. Keep your pool dress ready before entering though.

Decent place, not excellent. Food was good. Pool was okay. They had a small DJ arrangement during the night we stayed — kids will enjoy. Rooms were good and clean. They make arrangements for your tours (almost all resorts do it) and get you the tickets (ticket charges are extra). Overall a decent resort. Its a nice location, with woods near by, and I felt that they could have maintained the place a little more well.

Excellent place for a family holiday away from city life and you will get a peaceful and calm atmos. The elegantly arranged room with a fine tune of woods and in the lap of trees gives a nostalgic feel. The feather in their crown is nothing else but the dedicated service force led by proven management team. Kids were engaged at pool and zorbing ball. Restaurant offers well balanced buffet spread at a reasonable pricing. The Head chef and the service team are ready to help you. The proactive and timely service by the room attenders is amazing. Property needs hardcore renovation anyhow;specially the corridor and steep steps towards the corner rooms.

Food is very good. Service is commendable but needs a little improvement. Amidst Forest setup and very good surrounding.

Wonderful stay. Clean and tasty food. Quiet place to get relaxation for a couple of days with family.

Great ambiance, great service. Spectacular rooms. the property is well kept, with a charming and helpful staff, clean pool, and a well received room service. even though the buffet lacks quantity as opposed to its sister location in munnar, it leads the way in quality and taste of the food. a must stay, as locations are all quiet nearby.

Resort is quite good, negatives would be cramped parking and restriction on hot water availability which is time bound from morning 5 to 10 and evening 5 to 10. It will be good it this time extends to 11 in the night. Didnt try their food due to late return from sight seeing so no comments. Staff are quite good and my self being a member of sterling felt this is one of their best resort.

Great Resort! Itself a complete package. Restaurant, pool side dining, kids swings, activity centre, multi cuisine restaurant, great rooms, private cottages, helpful n polite staff, spa n massage centre. Though the rates for In Room Dining can be worked upon. Would like to mention few people for their great hospitality. The Porter when we checked-in in on 16/08/17, The tall manager with moustache and guy from Chandigarh in restaurant during breakfast on 17/08/17 and the gentle lady who took our check-out on 17/08/17 at around 10 AM (photos attached).

Place is good. Staff is really very helpful and friendly. It's a babies friendly resort. Baby good is available. Only thing is room are not small.

If you want a affordable 3 stay. You can go for this. Overall a good place to stay. Very near to national park. Good help desk to play your travel.

Got to spend two days here in the mid of June'17. Sterling resorts have the most friendly staff. Calm and serene place to enjoy the chill weather of Thekkady. Food is divine. Rooms are spacious and maintained tidy.

It is a small Resort close to the reserve forest. Rooms are very tiny. Food is OK in the restaurant but costly. Very friendly staff. It has a small holiday activity room and some games for kids. Walkable from Ambadi junction on the way to the Periyaar lake. Swimming pool needs maintenance. Very affordable for Sterling members. Please contact the Government office near Ambadi junction for any sightseeing or trekking activity. Don't believe the touts who are everywhere in Thekkady.

Not seen many visitors… food (lunch) was not good… no value for money … Lot of fly and mosquito… I haven't stayed… only visited for lunch way back from thekkady…

Very clean and neat, breakfast was very nice, restaurant was superb.

Decent property. Courteous services. Carry odomos as it might be infested by mosquitoes due to the nearby garden.

The resort is now running by classic group. It is clean and neat. I stayed here for one day. I recommend it strongly.
