Great place to be. So much thought process went into every small amenities. CGH always amazes with their innovations and unmatched hospitality.

Enjoyed a lot here, especially the private pool villa with private sitout feels like heaven. Food was really yummy and the special evening tea from boat was a variety experience.

The funniest part is when a customer calls in to. Know the tariff … the attitude of the man who. Attended the call was tremendously stupid… let him shower his adamancy … I need to book 3 nights stay and he was sounding awkward let me change my plan CGH thank u for having him attend the call.

As always a 'stand-out' experience… Strongly recommend.

Awesome place. The best resort which gives you a feeling that you are a part of nature itself. The best staff, they are really cooperative. You've got to visit this place.

Access only by boat adds to the experience. Property has a large lake facing side and is green and beautifully maintained. Visited a 5 star property nearby but that was not a patch on Coconut Lagoon. Staff are very pleasant at all times. Food is very good. The independant cottage rooms with open to sky baths are very pretty. A few more activities with optional participation would be nice.

Its an amazing property. Its a quiet place with beautiful scenery, plenty of canals. We had view to the backwater from our room. Food was also good. The body massages we took here were not good at all. Overall its a must visit place.

Stayed in the resort for two nights with family. Serene place! They exceed your expectations in everything they do… arrangements… food… hospitality … ambiance … scenery… Ayurvedic treatments … cultural shows … Probably best couple of days in our travel in India till date…! Place you cant miss if you wish to have real taste of Kerala … Thank you everybody for making our holiday v special!

I would say, this is the best heritage resort in Kumarakom… A complete nature friendly resort. Nice back water / lake view indipendant villas. The restaurant is awesome and the overall ambience in very nice. The crew are very cooperative There are a good swimming pool (common) good for families as well. There are lots of small small activities arranged like sunset cruise, property walk, bird watching, yoga practise etc. Over all it is the best resort in kumarakom.

An amazing place to spend your weekend here. They have small actual vities to do throughout the day, all you have to do is ask. We stayed in the pool villa and it's really worth the money. Hote staff are really great and they are always enthusiastic when serving you even if it's at 2 in the morning.

Went with family for three days… Loved the boat ride to the resort. We were welcomed with music and staff courteously. The landscape was very beautiful and carefully planned. Sunset trip and lake side view was awesome. The cottage were excellent except for open bathroom. Food was excellent nothing much to complain. The best thing is the hospitality of staff. Really commendable. Will surely visit again.

Good place. Catch a CGH complimentary boat ride from Kavanattinkara boat landing (near the bridge) to the resort. 20 minutes into the boat ride and you reach the resort to a classy welcome. Rooms are good. Service is decent and fair. Staff are courteous and polite. Don't expect great food. Food is very average and very very expensive. A big thumbs down to the food. Butterfly garden is not worth the visit to see butterflies. However, the walk is pleasant. You can get back to see a few harmless snakes and lots of fishes. Resort is clean. Not too much wastes to be seen. Sunset boat cruise was a pleasant one due to fair weather. Tea and snacks are good. Rest in next.

Reeeelaxxxx! Great rustic and quit place to relax and reflect on life. They welcome you in a traditional way with the flute which is unique. Great resort overall!

I accidentally left a 1 star review initially which was far from my actual experience. This is a very clean, classy resort with a totally immersive experience. It had beautiful views and plenty of entertainment and activities throughout the day. The sunset cruise was gorgeous! Huge spread of food for breakfast lunch and dinner…

Fabulous 2 nights, definitely recommend a stay there. Accommodation was immaculate, staff friendly and helpful, food great and trips down backwater were amazing.

Very nice place very relaxing must stay atleast for 3 days. It's not the regular hotels very simple no television or those funky gadgets. Foods is really nice, staff is really friendly makes you feel rite at home. It's a must if your plan is to visit allepy then 3 days here n 1 night house boat if 1 wishes to visit.

A very unique property! I absolutely love CGH Earth properties and this is no exception. Located the corner of a Kerala backwater canal and Lake Vembayam, you get to the hotel via a shuttle boat that makes for a special arrival. Good restaurants including a seafood grill that was delicious. Yoga and a ayurvedic spa, butterfly garden, and spectacular sunsets. Can be hot and humid and not as much to do as at other places because it's a little isolated. Rooms are nice and the bathrooms are open air! Nice little gift shop and as always a very wellcoming, friendly and helpful staff.

A small piece of Paradise. Staff wonderful. ECO Policy great and educating the locals in plastic reduction is ground breaking.

Been there with my family in August, utterly relaxing and lots of activities in the resort. Good for being there 4-5 days. Try Ayurveda massage. Food is delicious too.

Nice place but not efficient service. Management of the deplorable arrivals and comfort of the bedding inferior to that of the other hotels of the same group.

Excellent variety of food and not too many. A few nice live food stations too. A plus side is they had a good variety of homemade pickles.

Two nights are way too short for such a nice hotel. But there is one thing can be improved: we stayed in a heritage mansion, the bath room bamboo curtain got molded, its bottom was black and dirty. That didn’t look like a luxury hotel’s facility.

Cannot say enough positive things about our experience here. Truly magnificent property and the staff is absolutely wonderful. Kerala truly is "God's Own Country" and there's no better example of that than Coconut Lagoon.

Great heritage property, with plenty of quiet spaces. Takes you back in time. Excellent service, great Kerala cuisine. Sunset cruise and other activities on site make for full days, if you want a change of pace from yoga and massage.

Apart from the very low bathroom door which I banged my head a few times! I had a brilliant couple of nights at this hotel. The surroundings were very serene and peaceful and the fish in the extensive network of canals in the the ground were quite impressive but no fishing! You can fish in the main lake. I was quite impressed with the butterfly garden.

Very particular hotel, inspired by the old fishing houses of the Backwaters canals. Very comfortable, on two floors and with the individual bathroom, but open. Very interesting. Food more than acceptable and very attentive staff.

Very nice place. Fantastic seafood cooking. Very spacious and very special rooms. Particular bathroom in the open air. Excellent SPA and with trained staff. Beautiful to arrive by boat.

Charming Resort built on water. You get there by boat, on canals overrun by water lilies.

Amazing combination of backwaters and High standards of serene stay. Ethnicity with Luxury. Best Ayurveda treatments and kerala massage, Yoga teacher has perfect understanding. Ayurveda and Yoga in the Best ideal environment. Good no. Of activities canoeing, cultural performances, bird watching, cooking lessons, saree draping lessons and other games carrom, table tennis, swimming pool, ethnic restaurant, dosa bar. Etc. Superb open air private bathrooms undescribable in words. A must see and experience. Loved this place with family so repeated my visit. Staff and management excellent courtesy. I am a vegetarian, but absolutely no problems with food.

Absolutely fantastic. Look out for the two most helpful Davids. One is the main manager, the second is the restaurant Captain. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys. Extremely polite, helpful and understanding. This goes for all the staff there. Most pleasant surroundings. Great ambience and atmosphere. Would certainly recommend to anyone who wants peace and tranquility, and would definitely re-visit this place one day. Keep up the fantastic work.

Very friendly resort, very quiet and very clean rooms in bungalows. Staff helpful exceptionnelenent. We were there in the monsoon, no problem even to use the pool. Shop cheap.
