Nice ambience and great food. The service is so good and is easily accessible as it is at town.

Went to attend a seminar. Had to seek out the parking myself. NO ushering and dont expect any STAR treatment. Its just a hotel. So treat it as such.

Every Thing is great Except food in hotel.

Cockroaches in the room. One Start hotel and VERY HIGHLY priced. RUDE Staff. dirty bath towels tv doesn't work "technical"issue at night… thr whole night the room bell was ringing when some where someone was pressing the bell. highly disappointing that goibibo mmt have this hotel on their list of reccomendations. i am a regular business traveler and I use goibibo too. this hotel has cob webs in the reception. Goibibo has given it a best hotel award. i wonder what kind of standards they need from a hotel to give them such an award. From night 2.30 am to 7 am my room Bell was RINGING. May be some 6-7 times… and the hotel was not able to do anything abt it. the hotel is so dark. There is no light. Imagine in a beautiful town like kottyam… sitting in the lobby and restaurant with extremely low/dim/no lights!

I made a booking personally at this hotel on 22-12-2017 for two rooms for two nights (5th and 6th January 2018) at a total cost of Rs 16000/ — for my uncle and family from Bangalore coming to Kottayam. Though the person at the counter (Ms Balamol) did not insist for any advance payment, I paid Rs 10000 (Ten Thousand) volunteerly in good faith.
After 4 days, I had to cancel the booking due to the sudden illness of my uncle who was admitted to hospital in Bangalore due to heart… problem and had to undergo angioplasty. The booking was cancelled accordingly by Balamol, on my request and she asked me to come and collect the amount of advance paid. However, after two days I was informed by her that 50% of the advance shall be deducted as penalty/fine. I asked her since you have not ask for any specific advance, I could have paid Rs 1000/ and if so you would have deducted Rs 500/ — or a maximum of Rs 1000/-. Balamol did not have any answer bur insisted in deducting Rs 5000/ — When I enquired about the person who deals with and finalise these payment, she said there is no such person and the owner of the hotel stays in Muscat and I cannot get his contact number.
Finally I received only Rs 5000/ — from Sri Shyam on 3/4/2018. As a customer, I am really disappointed with the dealings of this hotel and the way of treating the customers.

Nice hotel with cozy rooms. Staff is very polite and welcoming.

This is not a great place to stay. They over charge for services they are not able to keep up with or accomodate. The restaurant staff was so slow! This place needs a manager who can whip the entire staff in shape. The place is well kept and could do a lot of business. The entire subdued dead beat staff needs to be replaced. I would not go there again.

Only the rooms are good. Rentals are high for Kottayam standards. Service s are below par. The hotel is under staffed. Restaurant experience was disasterous.

Chrysoberyl hotel & convention centre is a good place for meetings and convention. Peacefull environment, clean atmosphere hotel is a fine piece of architecture. Good spot for fun.

Good place Neat and clean. Tasty and nice food. Well managed and professionally maintained. Even if price is a bit high, it is worth it. The other hotels near kottayam are charging exorbitant prices which is not at all justify the service they are giving. The service in Chrysoberyl is far better and hospitable too. The location is also good.

The worst experience ever. Totally unprofessional. We were denied water, food n when we took the matter to the management they never apologise. We had booked 4 rooms for a day and the bill came up to approximately Rs27000. The least we had expected was a good service. Horrible experience. We ended up changing the hotel.

One among the business class hotel in town. Rooms are excellent. The place is also good for hosting small parties. Food is average.

Chrysoberyl is a good business hotel at the heart of Kottayam. We had an induction session here some time back and everything was well organised. The food was also nothing to complain about.

This hotel has a convention centre that is suitable for hosting various events. Ambience is good.

Availed their conference hall for a function. Extremely poor service, mediocre food. No staff inside the hotel has any clue how a hotel is run. The best thing about the hotel is the attendant in charge of parking. An event with 300 guests and no parking hassles at all!

Good location good food but average service.

Spacious rooms. Well equipped restaurant. Moderately good parking area.

Was on a official trip. Hotel room was good. Stayed their for 4 days. I guess buffet breakfast was done as per no of guest in hotel. Hence alternate days we had buffet. Menu order can't cross Rs. 300 as per the hotel Had to make advance payment. But Make My Trip said "pay at checkout" which we were not happy about. Staffs were courteous.

Hotel is clean and tidy. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Where it sucks is the F&B and housekeeping! Very poor breakfast spread and woefully understaffed. It takes over 20 minutes to get an omelette or a coffee! Room amenities are adequate/comfortable.

They need to pull up on the maintenance. The power went off thrice in a day due to a loose contact in the key card holder. The heat was oppressive. The room supplies had tobe asked for. The Wi-Fi is very poor, Keeps getting disconnected. The Housekeeping did not clean up room despite leaving instructions at reception. This property is on reactive mode. Nothing can be expected to happen and if you ask also may not happen. Definitely not good value at present tariff should be priced a good deal lower. Theres no Spa only a signboard.

The worst experience. Did my sister's wedding reception (70 ppl) there. We booked buffet lunch of above average rate (Rs 670 per plate). The ridiculous thing is how little food they served for the guests. Halfway through the lunch most of the dishes emptied out including chilly chicken, kappa, beef fry, couple of salads and aviel. They said more food is on it's way from their kitchen which is 7 floors below. This is a BUFFET, for heaven's sake. And they said their restaurant is 5 star. Seriously? I gave 2 stars only because the manager guy provided me with a laptop at the eleventh hour to preview pictures since mine, as it turned out, didn't have a VGA port. And the chilly chicken was good, even though most of our guests didn't get any of it. I changed my mind, they don't deserve 2 stars.

This place is pathetic! We went for a family lunch. The entire restaurant had only 1 waitor. And he told there is a function upstairs and all staffs are held up there. And the menu is what ever they serve in the function! And it was insanely expensive. We ordered chocolate brownie and I don't think they know the difference between a brownie and plum cake. Don't waste your money and time here folks …

Good ambiance weird Chinese food and a little expensive.

Had been for dinner recently. Food items are good. If you are looking for a good food or team dinner, you can have a visit.

Nice high quality Hotel nearby the citycentre of Kottayam.

The food is really excellent, but the prices are a bit high.
