Not a good option. The pictures given are deceiving and so is the manager there. We were told that there is a 24 hour restaurant which was not true. The rooms were full of all sorts of insects and bugs. Malfunctioning fans and no AC. The showers had no pressure and even the washrooms were full of ants and other insects. When asked about the bugs, the manager said switch of the lights and sleep off. When we asked for a mosquito spray, he said "take a full refund and GO" No packaged drinking water available and we were not given any water before sleeping. After serving food, the manager went off to sleep and we couldn't find him. The food was alright. Dinner not so good but we enjoyed breakfast. Although it takes about an hour to prepare food. The place is really small and too far inside the village which has dangerous approach roads. Vehicles don't go inside the resort so luggage has to be carried by self on stairs. The electric plugs don't work so charging phones is a challenge.

A picturesque and peaceful place close to nature. It's a great place to unwind. Spent a night here with friends, and we were well catered to. Food was good — ordered Chinese cuisine for Dinner, and a traditional Kerala breakfast. I strongly recommend Tulsi Village Retreat to all nature lovers!

None of the amenities mentioned in their aribnb listing are provided. Do not trust.

We were cheated by the listing in airbnb. Booked the place for 3 people. They gave us a single room so congested with a queen size bed. Free parking space was listed in the amenities. There was no parking space. We had to park our car on the side of the road. Breakfast was also one of the listed amenities. We had to pay for the food. The place isn't worth the money we paid.

I booked the place for a couple of nights which ended up into only a night stay due to the rooms being uphill and our group had older people who were not able to climb the hill multiple times. There was only one person taking care of the whole place (itseems others were on a holiday). The caretaker is a very nice person, he along with his partner (Vishnu) understood our problem and let us check out for only a night without charging us extra for cancelling the second night. As mentioned by the owner, this place is not in Munnar, you have to travel an hour to get to Munnar from Tulsi Village. If you have any small kids/elder people, I would strongly recommend not to book to place. For others, this place is really wonderful, you can enjoy the nature with no disturbance. One thing I suggested the caretaker is to put some kind of bugs screen at the main door so that at the night times you don't get them into your rooms. Food was really good, but its little pricey and there are no other restaurants close by.

Rustic and natural stay far from busy city life. Inside remote village and a bit far from popular tourist destinations. If you like solitude and nature this is your place. The host is very cordial and helping as well. The toilets would need a little maintenance though.
