Lovely clean and friendly home stay. Breakfasts were traditional and so nice. Saj and his colleague were helpful and booked us an amazing boat for the backwaters which was brilliant! The home stay is about 10 minutes walk into Kochi old town. Go to Kashi art cafe for a lovely lunch! Saj also booked our driver for 5 days to Munnar called Stanley. He was polite and friendly throughout the long drives!

Sajhome is the best place I know in Fort Kochi. You will be welcomed like family and you live parallel to Saj's family in this comfortable home. The rooms are all different, big and small, aircon, no aircon and so prices vary also. Plenty of choice therefore.
Breakfast is included, laundry services available and cheap, Wi-Fi is offered free of charge.
Saj is not only the owner of this house, he is a great person and will help you with whatever you need, wish, want. Friendliness is pervasive in this home. You are spoilt and all your queries will be answered and solved.
Travelling around is easy, the ferries are cheap and plentiful, the train stations are only a rickshaw ride away. Food is everywhere and there is plenty to choose from.
Shopping is everywhere, too. Do never forget to bargain hard and friendly, you will get a long way towards your goals.
Enjoy your holidays and remember: Saju or Baiju, his second in command are your trusted helpers.

Couldn't hope for a better experience than staying here. Great central location, large, well appointed spotless room with a brand new bathroom. Above all it was the care and advice given out by Saj, and Baiju's breakfasts that give this homestay its 5 stars.

Lovely Hosts! Second time in India this year. First visit to the South West area. Booked for 9 nights at this homestay based on previous reviews. A long time in one place admittedly, but we wanted to relax and explore the town of Cochi and surrounds at our leisure. Saj, his lovely family and staff could not have been more helpful with lots of ideas for places to go, organising for us a 2 night trip away with driver etc. And a boat trip through the backwaters. The breakfasts in the homestay were good. Our room was lovely and luckily had air con as it was quite humid during our stay! Large double bed, modern bathroom and walk in shower with plentiful hot water and balcony. We had freedom to come and go at will, Saj or Beiju were always available if needed, but never intrusive. Very relaxing! Highly recommended!

First off, Saj's communication is excellent. He's able to arrange very good and well priced cars for airport pickup and other excursions. He even booked us train tickets a couple of times, which saved us a LOT of trouble. I highly recommend asking Saj for advice. He's great. The homestay is located right in the center of Fort Cochi, withing easy walking distance of just about everywhere. Initially we took Auto Rikshaws to the various landmarks, but it quickly became apparent that you may as well stroll between locations. The homestay will provide you with a small map, showing all the popular places to visit, including places to eat. The rooms at Sajhome are all air conditioned, scrupulously clean and very comfortable indeed. This lovely homestay really comes into it's own with the high quality breakfast offerings. The Keralan breakfasts are beautifully prepared and were a great start to the day. I've stayed at Sajhome three times, which should tell you that I really like it.

Great hospitality and beautiful rooms — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Me with my wife reached Cochin airport at 8-30 pm on the 17th day of September, 2017. It was raining heavily. The owner Mr. Saj sent a car for pick up. It took one hour and fifteen minutes to reach the home stay. When we met Mr. Saj, we felt that he was a charming person with excellent behavior. The room was clean and well decorated. We were allotted room No. 3 on the first floor. The bathroom was modern and beautiful with 24 hours hot and cold water. The breakfast was superb. The smoothie was really tasteful. We liked the Keralian dish prepared homely. We want to thank Mrs. Saj for her kindness. The speed of free Wi-Fi was much satisfactory. Mr. Saj arranged a Tuktuk for us for local sight seeing. Next day Mr. Saj arranged a car for visiting Athirapilly-Charpa-Vazhachal waterfalls. Again, when I approached to Mr. Saj for a car for 5 days for a tour including Munnar-Periyar-Alleppey, he arranged the same car for our travel. It was a good experience for us to travel with the help of Mr. Saj. He is an energetic man with smiling face extending all helps to his guests. Next time when we will go to Fort Kochi, we certainly stay again at Sajhome.

The best place to stay in historical Cochin, we've been back many times. Saj and his family will make you feel like old friends and breakfast on the balcony is unforgettable. Highly recommended.

Pleasant staff small care own breakfast superb.

Saj is a former top hotel manager who worked in Dubai for many years. His spoken and written English approach the "native-speaker level" and his knowledge of Kerala and Kochi are — — without exaggeration — — unprecedented. In his spare time, Saj is actively involved in the political and social affairs of the Fort Kochi community where he is seriously invested in the improvement of the local tourist offerings and the quality of life for non-tourist residents. For me, his homestay was the perfect mix of value and comfort. The place is very clean. Showers and toilets work wonderfully. Wi-Fi works great. Breakfasts are delicious. The location within Fort Kochi is ideal. Prices are reasonable. Supporting staff is friendly and helpful. Baiju, Saj's top employee, is a sweetheart and does a great job with everything. The best part of all is Saj himself. He is generous with his time. He gives detailed, *honest* feedback on all sorts of questions (currency exchange, hotels, transportation, politics, culture, weather, food, mosquitoes, tour trips, etc. ). He understands that different tourists have different interests, goals and budgets. His candid, authentic, thoughtful answers will offer you a complex and nuanced view of modern Fort Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala and India. This factor, more than anything else, makes a stay at Sajhome a truly great experience.

This place is amazing! So welcoming and friendly, spotless, homely and great breakfast.

Very cozy rooms with great settings and ambience. The breakfast was wonderful as well! One of the best breakfasts we had throughout the 5 weeks we spent in India. Saj, the host, was very friendly and his staff gave us a detailed introduction into Kochi and the things we could do and food we could eat around the place. All in all, a great place to stay!

Reasonably good but nothing special.

This homestay is really nice. Good location, beautiful rooms, friendly and very helpful staff. Breakfast is just perfect. If I ever come back to Fort Kochi, I know for sure that my first choice will be Saj Home.
