Breeze Backwater Homes Resort

Ambience is very nice… Location is good as well as bad. Bad because bit hard to reach there and the location in Google showed another home stay nearby. Good because once reached, it's best to stay away from all the jam packed roads and town (people too. ;). Could get a delicious breakfast from there itself. Could not go on the boat as we were running short of time.

A lovely place with a wonderful host. The food is out of the world delicious! The house boat experience made my visit here even more memorable. People visiting kochi should give this place a try.

I was in lookout for a scenic place in Kochi, Kerala and I am glad that I learnt about Breeze Backwaters. I was put up in a separate cottage, which was right beside the backwater. Reached here post the twilight, around 7.30 pm. However, I instantly fell in love with the serene location. The tall coconut trees, their perfect reflections, the boat house anchored by the shore, the small lake fish popping out their mouth on the surface… could not have asked more! While I faced minor power issues post midnight in my cottage, it did not bother me much as the weather was pleasant and I could do away without AC. Nevertheless, the manager did try to fix the issue, but sometimes such things are inevitable. The dinner served was filling and relishing. I was served Kerala puttu with stew for breakfast, which was delicious. The boat ride, was the highlight. Could not have asked more from the nature, sailing alone with the boatman (regret not asking his name) listening to the chirping of the birds and quaking of ducks and looking at the world upside down through the perfect reflections. One of the best, serene solo stays I have experienced. I rate 4.8 out of 5.

The road towards the resort is so bad that small hatchbacks & mid sized sedans can only crawl in 1st gear.

A small set up with only 3 cottages and thus provides personal attention and service. Food is awesome… Charges for stay and cottage very reasonable. They also have houseboat facility. Adviseable to directly book through the manager and not different mediums like mmt or travel agents. Directly calling the manager can fetch some good deals.

Incredible place like a scene out of a movie. Staff is caring and the grounds are well taken care of. Through the backwater canals you see the way of life of the indigenous people of Kerala. Quiet, serene water and wilderness surrounds you. We had a very thoughtful driver take us here from Munar and back to airport — Shajanan. Shaja went out of his way and found a few atms where I was able to withdraw cash during the currency crisis.

The homestay is a great hideout. If you are travelling from cochin to alleppey for a houseboat ride then that would be a wrong turn since you can enjoy a serene village tour on a man pulled houseboat which is already available here in breeze backwater homes and the traditional kerala cusines like Karimeen vazha ilayil pollichathu (Pearl spot cooked in banana leaf) would be a sure taste delicacy at this exotic destination.
