Perfect backpackers style hostel with the neat and cozy beds, clean living space. They have locker facility too, being a solo backpacker it was really helpful to me. The complimentary breakfast was good and manager helped in explore the backwaters. Hope to visit again.

Fantastic hostel located near alleppey Beach. Staff were extremely nice and helpful with everything we asked of them. We stayed in the mushroom lab private room and it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Included breakfast was great. Common areas are outdoors but comfortable and conducive to hanging out with others.

Really lovely hostel. It's in an old school house so the rooms are in classrooms. We had a private bedroom so I can't comment on the dorms. The private bedroom had good air-con, hot water and fast Wi-Fi. The hostel staff were really helpful and organised backwater tours for us (at a very reasonable price). We stayed on a Saturday night and they put on some live music. We booked for one night but ended up staying for two. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. The area is not too near tourist attractions — the local beach for example is not great — but it is a great base to do tours in the area from.

Good hostel. Nice common area, spacious rooms and friendly staff. Beds should be little bit more comfortable, everthing else was superb.

Good Hostel, Clean, very near to beach… Railway station is less than 2 Kms… So you can walk around the places very easily. Manager is good & helpful.

Great experience. Friendly staff. Friendly owner. Done a great job of renovating a heritage building with a lot of history to it. Very affordable and free breakfast with it. Clean and nicely kept and easily accessible.

By far my best hostel experience in India. It's just about 300 m from the beach, super clean (like really clean), the feet washing space is such an amazing idea.
Everyone who's associated with this hostel is so cool. Refreshing to meet such people.

Fantastic! Came here last minute after a houseboat debacle, and I'm so glad we did — probably our favorite place we stayed in Kerala. Lovely room, great vibe, and super friendly and helpful staff.

Really great hostel with helpful hosts and fun activities. Canoe trip was very relaxing in the backwaters. Breakfast and dinner were very nice and Rahu was the best manager. He helped out with every little detail.

Best accommodations for price I ever had in a hostel. The single room is really comfortable with a. C. Hot water, and private wash room. The mixed dorms are also a. C. And have nice beds with good lockers. The whole property is nice, green, and we'll maintained. 5 min walk to the beach and 5 min taxi to the back waters.

Lovely hostel with a cozy patio! Beach is less than half a km away, and owners go out of their way to make it a comfortable getaway.

One of the most spacious hostels I have been to. The hosts Shradda and Rahul took good care of us. The ambience is really great. The 150 year old property is just 5 minutes away from the beach. The tours organised by hostel was just wonderful. I will definitely go back to the hostel.

Perfect. We stayed an extra night in Aleppey because we loved the hostel. Well-organized, helpful, professional yet friendly team. Felt at home!

As for an error in the booking system we encountered a very ought Situation right at the beginning of our stay here. Just 10 minutes after we checked in we got relocated to another, better room. This room unfortunately didn't have any hot water, constant water pressure, and, to round it up, ants. Being honest, ants and cold water are not a real deal breaker in India. Other than those rather minor flaws, the room was very clean, nicely furnitured, and had a very comfortable bath section. Something really positive was the two different Wi-Fis, one for each floor. This ensured, that we had a stable internet connection at all times with is usually not that common. Another perfect feature is the location of the Inn, just 800m down the road to the beach. The staff also provided us at check with a map of some interesting sites to visit. The breakfast was simple but tasty and was provided in the yard. Hence, we were overall satisfied with our stay at the Backpackers Inn and can recommend a stay there if you're looking for young people from all over the world to hang out with and talk to.

This place is a gem! I stayed in the private room, which was really nice: clean and a lot of ambiance. The staff is great and helpfull. The location is perfect; near the beach and not far away from the buzz. I wish there were more places like this in India.

Artpackers was the perfect place to spend a few days in Alleppey. The building itself is beautiful with spacious and clean rooms. The outdoor common areas were great to relax and socialise in and the free breakfast was a lovely addition. As the name suggests, the hostel has a great arty vibe for the travelling creatives who want to stop by and do some work. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and owner, Jobin went the extra mile to show us around town and make our stay really memorable. Really can't thank you enough guys!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! Super friendly staff, very good atmosphere and really easy to meet other people. The whole place was clean, the building itself is interesting and there's a nice area outdoors where people can hang around.

This is a unique hostel in all India. It's a big, dutch-style house with a very interesting history. The rooms are well designed, they are spacious and bright. The "Mushroom Lab", which has a double bed and a private bathroom, is great for couples. Bathrooms are clean. There's a big patio that serves as a common room to socialize with the interesting people that arrive here. The owners and staff are super friendly people, they did make us feel at home, to the point that we extended our stay just to enjoy this beautiful place. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a place to relax, with style.

This hostel is a gem! It's a beautiful historic place and very comfortable. Dorms are the best I've had in India with big bunk beds and good cooling. The owners are very helpful giving you every help you need and telling you all you need to know about Kerala. This is the place if you want to meet other travelers, but also if you want to relax. Breakfast is also really good. I will definitely come back here again!

An old dutch style building which was formerly a school and an All India Radio station at different times, has now been turned in to a wonderful hostel with dorms and private rooms by two individuals who are perfect hosts. The hostel has a very different and artsy vibe as the name suggests and is the perfect base to explore the wonderful town of Alleppey with is backwaters and beaches and excellent food options in the vicinity. Vivek and Jobin, the hosts, will guide you to the best places around and sometimes even accompany you and show you around the city or join you for a meal and drink. The tariff includes breakfast which is simple but sumptuous and the dorms, private rooms (bathrooms too) as well as the property are all very well maintained and kept very clean. Jobin and Vivek put in a lot of effort and it shows. My go to place when I am in Alleppey and want to spend a relaxed few days!
