Amazing ambience and great food.

Beautiful heritage hotel but needs to do a major renovation on their bathrooms.
However the food and ambience were great and the staff was exceptionally helpful.

Came here with family and friends after a long time… the service is pathetically slow and after repeatedly asking 3 times for chutney the request was obliged… never returning nor recommending…!

The rooms was amazing each room had a balcony. The staff was absolutely superb, willing to help you will all your vacation needs. I would definitely give them 15 out of 10 and go back to this hotel again.

Can't speak highly enough of this hotel. Only stayed one night on my way to a national park, but now wish for a longer stay. It was the foreigner's guest house built by the Maharajah in 1920. As a heritage building they've kept things as authentic as possible. Staff is wonderful, check-in process was subtly unique and memorable. Stay here if you can!

A heritage hotel with one of the best and centrally located. Nice rooms, nice dining option, nice ambience, good service. Close to market and railway station. I will rate it good 4 star hotel. Location wise no one can beat it.

If something is timeless then the architecture of this beautiful place in Mysuru will definitely be one of them. The food served made every morsel to die for and the cleanliness and the hospitality of the staff made my evening very special!

Bad experience — booked 3 nights a quite heritage room — but then Front side always traffic noise at the Heritage and Suite rooms — the other wing you get the sound of the A/C or the neighbourhood!
We take one extra room and cancelled our stay one night earlier and they charge us one more night for this standard room we‘ve taken because of the noise the hole time! … First and Last time.

Very expensive. Food is good. Ambience is good. Alcohol is not so good.

The suite room is spacious, but service is lagging and needs a lot of attention, many a times in house dining took a very long time to serve. The whole thing needs a bit of rework. The quality of food and ambiance is good, but not something you look forward too!

It just old place you can visit for historical museum. But don't ever try food option finally you end up with drinking water is good here. Management manages you better by management skill, for this cost you can find good hotels in mysuru.

Well the Hotel is in the trade long enough and has fine tuned on all fronts. Open air Patio is just superb for a morning B. Fast or evening Dinner. If you are looking a heritage ambience experience then this is the place.

It is a heritage building built by King of Mysore. Located in a prime location very near to Railway station and bus stand. Also very near to all the shopping places in Mysore. Hotel staff are very friendly. Food is very good. They have a bar and all sort of drinks available. Rooms are very clean and have maintained very good.

Overpriced for the taste and quantity. Food can be better. The paneer was bland. Overall Ambience is great and easily accessible from city centre.

Had Dinner at their restaurant Tiger Trail which they famous for Shikari style food. Though the food is good, the service is not on par with 4 ☆ hotel standard. Will try their rooms in my next trip to Mysore.

Is this the SLOWEST service in India? Probably. It's a beautiful building, but it took nearly an hour to get a bowl of soup!

I have stayed here along with my wife for a day on 13 september 2017. Allthough hotel is well maintained and have large space around the buildings are old and refurbished. The service by the staff at restaurant is good. The breakfast and dinner was nourishing. Only room service was slow, barring that overall experience particularly swimming pool & GYM is excellent.

The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The heritage building is very charming and well maintained with a nice, peaceful garden for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room very comfortable, with a spacious veranda on the garden. The food very tasty.

Good old colonial atmosphere in a tree-shaded setting. OK restaurant where food is adequate but the staff tries hard to serve, but the food adequate and not outstanding. Plumbing is from the 50's ; looks historical but needs modernizing. Desk seldom was able to change large bills, and there is really no other place close by to get money. Laundry service was excellent. Staff is very courteous.

Nice restaurant with a very decent and friendly staff around. Very nice location in the royal city of mysore. Very near to the railway station and the bus terminal. Approx 2 kms to Bus terminal and 0.5 km for Railway terminal. This is a heritage property which was one of the palaces in the erstwhile wodeyar kingdom. Under King rule this building use for British high ranking officers Royal Guest house. It's a 100 years old monument. Good view, spacious room. Got good response from entire staff members. Great service. The courtyard is amazing. Feel to come. Stayed at Metropole for two nights with family. The building has its own history. Delicious food and brilliant hospitality all in a beautiful open air restaurant. Came in search of dinner, only to leave a few pounds heavier and a great deal happier!

The service at the breakfast buffet is exemplary. I have been going often for breakfast and the service rendered by Mr. Nagabhusan is simply fantastic. It is evident that he loves his job and when asked about how he has the perpetual smile and focus to do his best, he said that the management looks after all the staff very well. It's wonderful seeing such a well run establishment. It's also a very beautiful hotel.

If you can avoid staying here please do! Find a better place. The staff is absolutely incompetent and when you complain about it they make a big deal about it when they try to make it up to you. We happened to complain about the late service and the next morning the staff served us on time but mentioned "we served you on time today" when they placed the food in front of us (a dosa, it was a breakfast buffet). It's an over exaggerated place and does not live up to even a 3 star hotel reputation let alone 5 star. The dinner was not that great either and the staff needs better training as most of the time they can't help you with much! Not worth the time or the money!

Food is great here, service was reasonable but not great. We have to call the servers numerous times to be served. They had 5 servers working. Ambiance was great. Will go back.

The metropole restaurant sucks! dont waste your time and money. It has a SLOW staff, the food came cold and not at the same time as the people who were eating with me. The place is overpriced. They screwed up our bill and were unable to give some warm water for someone who needed to take a pill. I have not seen such a DISORGANIZED "High Class" restaurant. There are waaayyy better places to eat in Mysore than this. The food is average, nothing to write home about.
