Java Rain Resort

I had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful resort for 2 nights, the resort is maintained very nicely. We were impressed from the moment we got checked in. The check in staff were very friendly and very helpful. Prafulla & Prathima was very helpful at the front desk.
Ajay was very helpful in taking us around the property, he was there whenever we needed him.
The restaurant food was also very excellent, the service was also very good. A special thanks to Shaheena & Shankar they were very helpful throughout our stay and they accomodate all our food requests with excellent promot.
Will definitely look forward to staying again when I get the chance.

Our stay at Java Rain Resort was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in luxury, making for an incredibly refreshing and memorable getaway.
​We booked the Kafa room, which was absolutely magnificent. The design perfectly blends modern luxury with comfort, offering premium amenities, elegant interiors, and a serene ambiance that allowed us to unwind completely. It truly felt like a private sanctuary. The entire team deserves immense praise for their hospitality. They were incredibly attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Every request was met with a warm smile and prompt service, reflecting a truly high standard of hospitality.

We had chosen Java Rain Resorts very eagerly after seeing the positive reviews online. We were celebrating our daughter’s 10th birthday, and prior to arrival, we had requested some basic arrangements like room decoration and a cake, which the resort had agreed to over email.
While we were on the way, we tried contacting the resort to ensure the arrangements were in place. The reservation team shared the front desk number, but despite multiple calls, nobody answered. Eventually, a lady answered and informed us they were very busy and short-staffed, and that she would call back — but we never received any callback.
On arrival, we were warmly welcomed and allotted a room. The room was spacious, but unfortunately it had a very strong pungent smell — almost like stale mop water, phenol, or the lingering smell after spilled milk. The floor was also extremely sticky, to the point where our shoes were making clicking sounds while walking. There was visible dirt accumulation in the room corners, and overall the room did not feel clean or appealing, especially considering the premium tariff being charged.
And yes the arrangements were not done as assured.
As it was lunchtime and we were hungry, we first went to the restaurant. There we discovered that the air conditioning was not functioning, and there were no fans or alternate cooling arrangements in place at that time. The lunch itself was manageable, but the experience of dining in the heat and humidity was very uncomfortable.

Definitely not worth paying 20-25 k for the room. Amenities are almost zero. The room doesn't have hair dryer, basic things like no laundry bag, chappals etc. The jacuzzi was leaking so not filling up at all. Food is ok ok. The indoor sports room is in pathetic state. Everything is broken. Very deserted look altogether. Property needs to be maintained. Only saving grace were the staff who were very professional and tried their best to make things work. Estate walk was very well done by Ms.

Had a really great stay at Java Rain. The property itself is beautifuk and very well maintained, and the coffee plantation walk was easily one of the highlights. Rooms are spacious, cozyand done up with a nice modern touch.
The absolute standout though is Executive Chef Shaikh Mujibur, genuinely one of the best parts of our stay. His food was amazing across the board, from Indian to continental, and the South Indian breakfast spread was just perfect.
The entire team, from the front office to the staff and managers is incredibly warm and friendly, which made the experience even better.
We came here for our honeymoon, and this place will definitely stay special for us. Would love to come back again :)

We recently stayed at Java Rain Resort and were disappointed, especially given the ₹16K+ per night tariff. The property is very small with little to explore and almost no activities, making it unsuitable for families with kids. The play area is tiny, equipment was broken, and most families struggled to engage their children. Service was slow and the resort appeared understaffed. An AC leakage at night caused significant inconvenience with minimal support. Food quality was below average and dining arrangements weren’t communicated clearly. Overall, the experience did not justify the price. Suitable perhaps for couples seeking quiet time, not families.

Our 4-night stay at Java Rain Resort was absolutely wonderful! The entire team—especially Madan, Santhosh, Prafulla, Usha, Shalina, and Shwetha—treated us like family with their friendly and kind hospitality.
​They were so accommodating with our 1-year-old daughter, preparing special meals for her exactly as we requested. The food for the adults was equally exceptional—we loved every bite! With spacious rooms and a convenient location close to all the main attractions, it was a perfect trip. We can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for great service and a memorable stay.

Absolutely fantastic resort. The food at each and every meal was excellent. The rooms are very large, spacious and with amazing tree cover and views all around. In room jacuzzis work well. Staff is polite and attentive. Everything is just as amazing as you expect and then some more!

As soon as we checked into Java Rain Resort in Chikmagalur, it was clear that our experience would be truly unforgettable. At the junction of Kaimara, overlooking Chikkamagaluru city on one side and Mullayyanagiri on the other Java Rain Resort is perfect for anyone who wants an amazing holiday.
You are welcomed by Ms Prafulla and team who go all out to ensure that you feel at home. They start by calling you and guiding you not just the route but also the few to be paid to the forest department online so that you don’t get stopped at Kaimara junction.
The three days went without any hitch. Kudos to the Prafulla and also Ajay who is there in the evening shift.
Food is an amazing plus since it was beyond our expectations. All dishes are made in balanced manner without too much oil or spices. In fact you can specifically ask if you want it prepared in a particular way.
All thanks to the Chef Mujib who served such delectable dishes.
Highlights were the Mirchi Halwa which surprised us no end with not the presentation but also the taste. 👅
Ensuring that we were taken care and made to feel at home were the amazing trio of Madan, Saheena and Usha. Their warm hospitality enhanced our experience to another level.
The flora and fauna of the property is rich and diverse takes you to another dimension.
This is definitely a place where we would return.

We visited Java Rain for a family lunch and had a wonderful experience. As localites, we’ve been to many places in the area, but the food and hospitality here truly stood out. A special mention to Chef Mujeeb, whose dishes were flavourful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The staff were attentive, the ambience was relaxing, and the overall experience made our afternoon memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food paired with warm service.
