Our family had a wonderful stay at Java Rain Resorts last week! We even received a surprise room upgrade, which made the trip extra special 😊
The staff were extremely courteous and took great care of us throughout. The resort is very well maintained, lush, and peaceful — a perfect place to relax. Truly a must-visit!
Already planning to come back during the monsoon!

As soon as we checked into Java Rain Resort in Chikmagalur, it was clear that our experience would be truly unforgettable. The surroundings perfectly balanced serene natural beauty with opulent luxury, making our stay absolutely incredible and undoubtedly one of the most exceptional experiences we've ever had.
The villas are nestled within the lush gardens offer a serene escape, surrounded by the soothing sounds of the forest and coffee plantation, perfect for a leisurely stroll. The staff were always available to attend to every requirement, exceeding expectations to make the stay truly unforgettable.
The resort's sole restaurant, MIRRA, is a multi-cuisine haven that hosts all meals, each one a delightful experience.
The property's rich and diverse flora and fauna transport you to another world, making it a place we'd definitely love to visit again.

At the junction of Kaimara, overlooking Chikkamagaluru city on one side and Mullayyanagiri on the other Java Rain Resort is perfect for anyone who wants an amazing holiday.
You are welcomed by Ms Prafulla and team who go all out to ensure that you feel at home. They start by calling you and guiding you not just the route but also the few to be paid to the forest department online so that you don’t get stopped at Kaimara junction.
The three days went without any hitch. Kudos to the Prafulla and also Ajay who is there in the evening shift.
Food is an amazing plus since it was beyond our expectations. All dishes are made in balanced manner without too much oil or spices. In fact you can specifically ask if you want it prepared in a particular way.
All thanks to the Chef Mujib who served such delectable dishes.
Highlights were the Mirchi Halwa which surprised us no end with not the presentation but also the taste. 👅
Ensuring that we were taken care and made to feel at home were the amazing trio of Madan, Saheena and Usha. Their warm hospitality enhanced our experience to another level.
The flora and fauna of the property is rich and diverse takes you to another dimension.
This is definitely a place where we would return.

We visited Java Rain for a family lunch and had a wonderful experience. As localites, we’ve been to many places in the area, but the food and hospitality here truly stood out. A special mention to Chef Mujeeb, whose dishes were flavourful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The staff were attentive, the ambience was relaxing, and the overall experience made our afternoon memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food paired with warm service.

I had the best food experience at Java Rain Resort! The dishes were absolutely delicious, and the flavours were perfect. A special thank you to Chef Mujibur for preparing such wonderful meals. The resort is pretty and different. The rooms are spacious and the food good. Activity room and outdoor games were fine.
On the negative side, the jacuzzi had hair in it and the spa needs to be more hygienic.
Otherwise a great place to wind down and relax!

We took my team of 25 + folks for a team event at Java Rain Resorts and honestly, it exceeded our expectations. The whole experience was well-coordinated from day one, and I'd say this ranks among our most successful offsites.
The location was beautiful — surrounded by greenery but still accessible without much hassle. Our rooms were clean and pretty luxurious. Food was really good too, with enough variety that even our strict vegetarian colleagues had plenty to choose from.
I have to mention Prafulla's coffee plantation walk — she clearly knows his stuff and made it genuinely interesting rather than just another guided tour.
Jagadish, Shubham, and the rest of the staff were attentive throughout without being intrusive and truly worked as one team. What impressed me most was how the team handled our requests. They were flexible when we needed adjustments and always went an extra mile to make us happy. It's rare to find that level of service these days.
We had events across multiple places like Trivik which may be a tad more luxurious than them but at customer service don't think anyone can beat them. I highly recommend them if anyone is planning a team event or even a family event.

We had a group of 40+ pax for a two nights and three days. The reservations team was consistently in touch and helped us in making a booking very smoothly. Meeting all our needs.
Once we reached the resort the Resort Manager Mr Shubham and his Staff were all extremely cooperative and ensured the whole team is comfortable.
The Restaurant team and House Keeping and other teams did such a good job.

Upon our arrival, alighting from our vehicle into the open reception area, a gentle breeze blowing, bird song all around and the tree canopy alive with sounds, it was the best arrival to a hotel I’ve ever experienced!
The villas are hidden within the lush gardens that make for a lovely stroll, where you can immerse yourself in the sounds of the forest and coffee plantation. Staff are extremely attentive to one’s needs and nothing isn’t too much trouble.
The hotel is well situated for further afield activities like climbing Mullayanagiri Peak or for a stroll down MG Road in the town.
I can’t recommend this hotel enough… it’s been one of our best stay’s ever, with fond memories made that will last a lifetime for us.

We had such a great family getaway at Java Rain Resort! The place is beautiful — surrounded by coffee and pepper plantations, with amazing views all around. The room (we stayed at the 2-seated jacuzzi QAHVA villa), and especially the hospitality, was top-notch and the food was just awesome, with a huge variety to choose from. Baby food and milk was readily available for our 15-month old baby. The staff were super friendly and made us feel so welcome. Abhishek even arranged a lovely room decoration and cake cutting for my birthday, which was such a sweet surprise! Big shoutout to Abhishek (restaurant manager), the chef, Prafulla at the front desk, and all restaurant staff for making our stay so special.
One point of recommendation to the resort is to do more with room maintenance and provide a better cupboard and amenities (bath robe, slippers, hair dryer) in the rooms at par with the room tariff. However, I highly recommend this place for a relaxing and memorable family trip, especially for the location, food, and hospitality!

We went here last week and this was the best way to celebrate our anniversary. The rooms are so spacious, the staff are so friendly and courteous. We came back rejuvenated and refreshed. The food was top notch with a wide spread and live counter. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and had a good time at the private jacuzzi as well. Special thanks to Ms. Prafulla who took care of us really well and the operations manager Shubham Joshi who was right there to help us out with everything.

Had a wonderful stay at Java Rain Resort in Chikkamagaluru! The location is amazing with beautiful hill views, peaceful surroundings, and great ambience. The rooms are clean and luxurious, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature!

This place has so much potential, but it is unfortunately ruined due to poorly trained (or motivated) staff. Nothing works here. Nobody answers calls (room service, reception). Reception promises to return call with information but never calls. Food is pretty bad. Room service menu is good but many items are not available. Cleanliness is lacking (hair in bathtub, wet bathroom on checkin). There is improper ventilation or lighting in bathrooms making the smell stale. Stale smell, old dirty and torn towels in spa, but excellent treatments thanks to well trained therapists. When we were here for 2 days, all sightseeing was closed in Chikmagalur but they did not bother to inform us when we booked (we booked directly with hotel). Even upon check-in we were not told about this. There are stray dogs in the property which is dangerous for kids and elderly. Good things… Jaccuzi has enough hot water, resort has excellent birdlife that can be witnessed from the room itself, Wi-Fi is good. All in all, it's a 2 star resort for the price of a 5 star resort.
