Located near the point where the River meets the Sea, this resort has got quite the location. Coming to the rooms, ask for the one bedroom apartments on the higher floors with sea view. We witnessed a wonderful thunderstorm from the balcony of our room. The room amenities, decor and service is on par with what you'd expect from Sterling. The food is decent. I'd recommend the Spaghetti Pastas and the Parathas. However, the swimming pool was a big disappointment with an uncontrolled and unacceptable level of Chlorine. The management is quite ignorant on this front and needs to look into it. Two stars removed especially because of this issue. Overall, a decent place to go to for Sterling members.

Excellent stay for local sightseeing, break journeying, or, just chilling with family or/& friends. Good location at river confluence on NH 66. Been there many times & shall repeat.

Sterling Karwar is a nice hotel. Spent 4 days with my spouse and kids. There is good entertainment for kids. The staff is friendly. Food is good but little expensive. The beach is 10 minutes drive. We had good time.

Nice property of Sterling resort on karwar highway. Excellent location and view of River Kali meeting with the Arabian sea. Food is made delicious and nutritious by Chef Shantanu.

The location is good. Staff need to be more trained for hospitality. Overall ok for one day stay.

Good service. Good room. The hotel has all the facilities. The complementary breakfast was not a buffet which was menctioned. A lot of time wasted for breakfast orders.

Kind of secluded. Although, the staff will call auto rickshaw for you anytime. About 20-30 minutes away from Karwar railway station. Has a nice pool and gymming facility. Food is great. Rooms are very clean.

I was there for just a night as I was on a ride to Goa and it was very late. I just slept there for a night and left early in the morning. The staffs were very friendly. The price was was ok for what they claimed they had there In a booklet for I had not been there for a long time to check out myself but overall a good resort to be with family and friends.

All OK, only the gym is weak.

This is an perfect hotel for tourist visitors in karwar. Food quality is great. Good staff and nice sea view.

Resort is small compared to Sterling resorts in other locations that we've visited. Rooms are on the smaller size though they are well maintained and all conveniences are present except for a microwave which they usually provide in many other loactions for member accommodation. But overall it's a well maintained property and food is also good. Buffet is only on weekends.

A sweet haven that makes you as comfortable as you would be at home. The check-in experience was great as the courteous staff was more than efficient to help for a quick check-in. Rooms are bright and vibrant and are well cleaned. The Room service serves you delicious food. All the staff were very well attired and well trained. The pool was a highlight and the services/activities in the hotel are worth enjoying. In short it's an excellent managed hotel where I definitely would recommend anyone to visit.

Only Wi-Fi was unavailable. Every thing else was good. Great location. Excellent view. Good staff. Good room service. Spic and span clean rooms and washroom.

Clean and neat. Lot of space for kids to play. Helpful staff. Not enough local cuisine on the menu.

The breakfast was simply awesome both in taste and in presentation. The hotel is a little far from the main beach but there are plenty of recreational activities within the hotel. Overall a great place for a quick getaway or a relaxing holiday.

Stay & reception staff was very good, Rooms are nice, Restaurant staff is also nice. Karwar — 3 to 4 days are enough, Tilmati Beach (the only black sand beach) is interesting,

3 star hotel, decent rooms, on the territory there is a swimming pool, gym, billiards, table shades. The nearest beach is dirty, albeit picturesque.

It is a good hotel at Karwar with good swimming pool facility. Front desk and service desk is very prompt and friendly. Foods are quality and tasty. There is a Island near by the hotel, one should visit as a day trip. Local fishermen helping to reach the island for few hundred rupees for a family. Emerald Bay front desk also arranging for the island visit. Great hotel.

The hotel is gorgeous, the staff is excellent always friendly in the rooms clean.

Fantastic place. Just loved these 2 nights 3 days stay here. Very courteous staff, excellent food, clean rooms, very responsive staff. The restaurant serves best food very tasty & quite reasonable. All of us liked this place, after we booked & read the review we were quite worried but it turned out that the reviews were not too correct.

Good place. Nice staff. But company policies are not customer friendly, at all. U need to cancel your booking 21 days in advance otherwise you have to pay a cancellation charges almost equivalent to room rate. Can you believe that? Watch out for fine prints : — (

Sterling Karwar is the worst experience we ever had among all Sterling locations. The beds are very old and rooms are shabby. The day we arrived the restaurant was full probably rented out to a private party. We were asked to return to our rooms so they can send the food to room. Food quality was awful and pricey. Had booked for two days but cut short our stay to one day. The Management did not return the utility charges of the second day as they had collected that as advance when we checked in. This was probably a private hotel called Lotus later franchised by Sterling. Sterling should seriously look at it and monitor it to improve members experience.

I had very unpleasant experience with booking of 3 rooms at sterling emerald Bay, Karwar. I booked 3 rooms for our family get together over Dasahara long weekend (Oct 2015). Booking was made 2 month in advance but just 2 days before our check-in I got call from sterling that our booking has been cancelled due to their some internal issue. I t was tough to get 3 room for long weekend in that short notice. They offered me with alternative arrangement in karwar at the same rate (~Rs 6000 per night), when they informed me of alternate hotel name I found same hotel is readily available At Rs ~3000. I was shocked to get cheated by sterling resort people. My trouble didn’t stop here, When I asked for refund of my advance money (Rs 13000) they said it will take one week of time but unfortunately they didn’t refund my money in one week. I had to do follow up over phone & email then only they refunded my advance money that too without any interest. I had to bear extra expenses to book last minute rooms and compromise with quality as well. I found Sterling Holidays people un-ethical in doing business and treating customer/guest for a ride.

Got a suite room at a very reasonable price during Diwali. Decently maintained and good view from the rooms. Food was alright but we chose to eat out at a very good place at Karwar town on all the days.

The staff is friendly. Beautiful rooms. The food is so-so, monotonous. Cheap air conditioners are terribly noisy. And sometimes things go missing…

Nice place to stay it is really a peaceful place out of city but not too far away… Staff is simply awesome very welcoming, very polite, excellent service by sterling… Food is great, but little costly… Had really a good time here. :)
