A great hub to unwind. Peaceful with beautiful surrounding. The resort itself is a perfect combination of natural beauty and modern utilities. Few things to highlight: 1. Rooms are brilliant. Can't ask for more 2. Very romantic place. Nooks by the river are just dreamy. 3. The staff is very courteous and extremely helpful. They went out of their way to make our anniversary special by arranging a beautiful candle light dinner and cake in a private shack at the property. 4. It is perfect weekend destination for couples as well as family 5. Food is great with multi cuisine options. So there is everything for everyone. It is better to take the package the resort offers with all three meals included. It's cost effective.

It's a must stop place for us when visiting coorg. Love the serene picturesque views. Restaurant is too good offering multi cuisine. Down by the river, you can just hangout and take in nature. Staff are super friendly. As the name suggests, it's a peaceful garden. We generally take a break here for couple of hours.

This is beautiful resort but scenic beauty of kaveri river just along the resort. Variety of birds and their music. Full of flora and fauna. Individual cottages are nicely made. Each have fish pond, my kid loved feeding them. Then open to sky bath tub to enjoy moonlight or nature while relaxing. Very courteous staff and always ready for service. Resort itself have many activities. It has an deck just above river where you can eat and feel to music of nature.

Nice place to stay. Best place to relax. Best time to visit — September to march. You will miss their main attraction ‘trekking to eight islands’ if you visit in rainy season.

We stopped by for dinner. We had such a great experience that we decided we are coming back to stay. Great concept! So much peace and tranquility. Mesmerizingly beautiful and amazing food.

I recently went to this place and I had very high expectations of this place after reading all the amazing reviews and pictures. And this place lives upto that reputation and beyond. Superbly crafted place, made keeping nature intact, friendly staff and a must visit monsoon destination. Keep it up!

A wonderful place to stay surrounded by greenery and a river running by the resort. Very clean rooms and excellent house keeping service. Had the best candle light dinner experience on our anniversary. The staff is very kind and help you with any queries that you may have. It truly felt like Alice in Wonderland, the theme of this resort.

Coorg itself has plenty of places to see nearby and the resort being centrally located is a perfect destination point where you can relax in the arms of nature. This property should only be visited when one has plenty of time else repentence for enjoying the property, will be there. Enjoy your meals and drinks on the banks of Kaveri river with the uncontrollable sound of nature. The Staff, especially Virender, Anju, Anudeep, Schweta and above all Mr. Nair will ensure you take away best of memories along. Enjoy the private coffee plantation of Amanvana Director Mr. Mittoo Chengappaa. The property is worth visiting again!

The Resort is excellent, it feels like in the lap of nature. The best part is it's in the bank of holy river Kaveri. Fully surrounded with greenery. Bungalows are awesome and very spacious. Staffs are very helpful. For vegetarians, buffet doesn't taste that good and little over priced, but A la carte vegetarian taste is simply excellent, though choice is very limited. In summary, a must visit place.

Amazing place to be. Totally awed with the greenery around the place, the food was absolutely amazing. The river trek around 8 islands was an amazing experience which is the activity to find only in this resort around the place… Spa was quite ok, though not the best. Overall a very rejuvenating and relaxing experience. I would surely love to revisit this 'Rabbit hole for the soul'

We had a lovely stay at Amanvana. Unlike most resorts, this place not just has manicured lawns and well trimmed hedges but also a feel of the forest. The river Kaveri passes through the property and there are hammocks amongst lush the greenery, little benches and arrangement for a bonfire right by the river. Their spa is great too. We opted for an all meals plan and the food at the restaurant definitely not dissapoint. The restaurant staff is pleasant and attuned to your requirements. The highlight in the room has to be the skylight above the bath tub. The linens and towels in the room look a bit old and worn out but overall a lovely getaway!

Awesome experience, I enjoyed the stay a lot. Unforgettable moments of life. Don’t miss to go River trucking that’s a different experience. Spa was ultimate. Food is extremely good.

The hotel is situated in the lap of nature. The rooms are spacious and very well designed. The food was just awesome. The flora makes you feel light and happy from inside.

Good experience and calm environment. Good food and staffs are friendly. But need you yo explore the area by yourself as no one from resort were not actively guiding. Overall good experience.

Designed with a semi English approach to semi luxurious Indian leisure, this resort is a green garden harped in the little town of Kushalnagar on the way to Coorg. The food is very delicious at the restaurant though the service is slightly weakened. The pool side restaurant in an English country side decor is really refreshing to the eye and mind. If you're price sensitive, this place is slightly on the higher tab.

Very cozy and calm. The cottages are pretty and surrounded by greenery and the river flows in property’s backyard. The food is good too. Spa is highly recommended. Overall a very good option for couples.

The resort is really well planned. We had a stay at this place for 4 nights. The tranquility and serene atmosphere is the plus point. If you want to see the river flowing better not come in the late summer. The whole property is very immaculately maintained and the staff are cordial. The food though is average this is one area they need to rethink on. Otherwise this resort is a perfect getaway from your routine life. Also would like to point about various daily activities carried out ranging from yoga therapy in the morning to paper making, and movies played at the amphitheatre was a different experience, woukd have liked to indulge more in the bird watching.

I like it very much. Perfect place to spend some peaceful time. Best time to stay is monsoon time. Good food. Perfect hospitality. Nice and clean Vila. Place is near to kaveri river. So nice view. Lunch is good but needs improvement in taste as well as number of options. Overall I enjoyed a lot and will plan to come back soon.

Very peaceful, serene and green resort. The staff is really courteous. The location could be slightly better. It's a little away from Madikeri, the main pretty region of Coorg.

A excellent place for a short outing. We had checked in for a 2N/3D stay here. The place is as described, a rabbit hole. The whole setup is rustic and pleasing to the eye. They have lot of activity to keep you engrossed for the day. Food is ok, nothing too great to talk about. The options for a Jain Visitors are less though they do take your request for specific dish you need. Spa is one of the worst I ever experienced. Nothing to speak about. Took their Signature Anti Stress Spa, ended up pain in the neck literally. Overall a very nice getaway for a weekend.

This was a holiday trip in month of February to this beautiful resort in kushalnagar. It is Situated near Bank of kaveri River with lush green surroundings. Good hospitality and although limited options but delicious food. Only setback was the Spa which was below par and over priced. Shower in spa was choked, massage was okay only. Overall a nice and pleasant stay in the lap of mother nature.

Amanvana resort is very clean and pleasant place. Banglows are spacious. Food is excellent. Swimming pool is very good. Especially Amanvana staff is very polite and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay at Amanvana resort.

This is a very nice place to stay. Serene and refreshing. A true rabbit hole for the soul. Very courteous staff. River trekking was a very enjoyable adventure we undertook. A nice spa is situated right in the resort. Activity centre is good too. Restaurant is multi-cuisine, so vegetarians may have some reservations. A totally hassle-free experience.

Very good buffet. The spread was nice and delicious. The ambience is quite good too. The dessert options were also nice. The food was a bit bland and for someone who likes spicy food, it may have been a bit better. Overall, very nice and would love to visit again.

The rooms are nice. The service is great. Very kind and friendly staff. Very clean and well maintained premises. I didn't give it five stars because of the food. The buffet was not good at all. Breakfast was fine but lunch and dinner was really unappetising. I strongly recommend going with a la carte rather than the meal plan. I'm not a fan of whole spices and they are a bit heavy handed with them. The coffee unfortunately and ironically was weak (though this was the case almost everywhere in coorg). Is recommend this place but would caution against the meal plan.

Excellent place to visit and enjoy the holidays. Staffs are very kind and caring. Very well maintained and they conduct more activities onna daily basis. Cauvery river flows inside the resort and the water trekking is amazing experience. Non-veg foods are really good to taste, but they are overpriced. Overall must visit place as a couple.

We went for our anniversary celebration. We stayed for 3 days. It was such a wonderful place. Nice Greenery nice view and a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy. We had spa trekking and swimming pool fun over there. Service by the people is also too gud.

Clean. Good property Stayed recently last week of October 17. Bungalows are very good. Perfect for family vacation. Big property with lots of greenery. However needs improvement in service of restaurant.

The property is very beautiful and scenic with huge collection of trees and plants. A walk down to the river is possible. There are arrangements to sit and enjoy the scenic beauty throughout the property. The bungalows are beautiful inside and out. The rooms are very clean. A lot of activities are planned at the Resort. The Resort also has a spa. Had a great time here.

Magical! Blissful! Eternal! Loved it and lived it! Could not have asked for more. The staff is very cheerful and go out of the way to make your stay comfortable and to give you best in everything. Special mention of the restaurant staff pintu… who always had an amazing smile when he serves you food… the best I have experience so far. The place itself is so cozy and secluded from the rest of the world.

Bungalows are too good! Complete feel of living among the nature! Loved the back water. Little expensive but worth it.

Enjoyed the place, we'll maintained and excellent service. Good was ok, they did have quite a few varieties however be it liquor or the food they seem to have been very stereotype. We didn't find anything interesting. The manager and staff were very courteous and some did take personal care. The pool and spa were good. Not pricey and well done. Even though im not a fan of men to men massage. The stress reliever massage of head, shoulders and neck were good. They have a very good sauna in the spa and it was well maintained. The property as such is very green and clean. Rooms are more like bungalow type and all are of same type. Mattress was comfortable and the restrooms were perfect. Kid had a great time watching birds and sitting by the river. There are good sights near be that made the trip worth it.

Its an ideal resort for weekend getaway. The bungalows are neat and tidy, the bathrooms are a bliss. House keeping is at ur service. They have a lot of in house activities that keep you busy and the pool Is very well maintained! (carry ur swim wear)
The food is awesome. Hats off to the chef for giving us a new and tasty variety every single meal.

In all it was worth the money.

The resort concept is very good. But the hotel staff is not maintaining it properly. I guess this resort comes in luxury resorts. But I felt nothing. The lightings are very boring. Even some of the lights didn't work. The housekeeping is very bad. They used to fold my used towels and keep it their. Toiletries were not properly refilled. I had to call them each time to refill things. Every time they clean the room one or more items were not properly refilled. They don't know how to attend a guests call. They just cut it without asking is there anything else they can assist me with. They have terms & conditions in every next thing. A guest can't feel full peace what he is there for. The spa experience was not at all good. The spa guy used to disturb us every morning to take their spa facilities that was really pricy. Even with a do not disturb sign on the door knob he started ringing the bell. We took the spa which was very bad. The only things I like is the open view ceiling bathtub and the 8 island river trek. They r lucky to get river Kaveri flowing just next to hotel. Otherwise this resort is no less then a lodge. I guess people loving it just cuz of the design of the resort also cuz of the river flowing just next to it which looks a part of resort.

I have stayed here with my wife and two kids. This place is just beautiful. The climate ambiance nature spa specially the open bath room just loved it. Staff of the hotel is so kind and helpful. This resort has natural beauty one has to experience at least once. Its our marriage anniversary and the amazing surprise cake was served. Food is excellent. Pool side dinning is nice place. If you want to enjoy the 8Island tracking then avoid the rainy season.

We were a group of classmates who visited in March, this year. The resort is beautiful with flowers growing everywhere. There are seats here and there near the river, to just sit and stare! Nice! Food is good. We had rented cottages and they are large and airy. Expensive at Rs 4000 per head per day. So is about Rs 12000 for a family of three. Bathrooms are large and airy with a sky light. Staff are well mannered and sweet. We had a great time.

Stayed at the resort from 24th till 26th June. Had a pleasant stay. Beautiful resort, well mannered staff, lovely cottage. Awesome food, variety don't ask, me being vegetarian enjoyed every dish. Srinivas, the Chef need to be complimented. Have been to many resorts but the food here is simply the best. Loved the birthday cake Srinivas.

The food. The staff. The ambience. The overall atmosphere is superb… You have to be here or nowhere else… The best thing was the Candle Light Dinner everyday makes us and this place an experience to remember Loved it.

Five star resort and charges like a wounded bull.

Late post after 3 months… Had been to amanvana in the month on Jan I guess on 4th Jan. It was freezing cold @ coorg. Being a mumbaite not used to a temperature of 7 C but I enjoyed the every moment spent @ amanvana. The resort is made beautifully with lovely flowers never seen before and must say very well maintained resort. The best part of the resort was the river karveri which flows from the back side of resort. The most memorable moment was the water trek which we enjoyed it to the core. It was thrilling experience I ever had. Over all it was a good place must visit, spa services were also good. The only thing is you cannot expect a hill view as it is situated at kushal nagar i. E before coorg. Over all it was very pleasant stay @ amanvana truly a Rabbit hole.

Awesome Place to Visit — Truely Rabbit Hole for peaceful Soul. We visited this place for my third year anniversary celebration with my spouse and my lil prince on 21st Feb 2016. We got a very warm welcome right from while check in and they have taken care very well till our check out, we are very much delighted. Would like to Share the Pros and Cons of this place. Pros. 1. Amenities and Facilities are provided as they have mentioned. 2. Location is awesome. 3. Food Quality and taste was awesome. 4. Staff were Superb, very friendly and helpful. Specially Mr. Pawan, Anoop and all other staff members too. 5. Bungalows is the added advantage. 6. Cleanliness of property and bungalows 7. Private River place to enjoy with family without any disturbance 8. Private Courtyard 9. Attentiveness of Staff is excellent. Cons. 1. About Eight Island Trekking if children and infants are not allowed please mention it on website clearly, as we visited this place with my lil prince we were not allowed for this trekking. 2. Please keep a bucket and mug in bathrooms, specially those who have kids, it is very difficult for them to handle in bathtubs.

Looks like a 4 star property with its pros and cons. Pros. Peaceful and quiet location Staff is warm and welcoming Bungalows are well made Bathrooms are spacious and we'll equipped Cons. Cleanliness can be a concern at times Food quality and taste varries from meal to meal Bit highly priced.

No ranking very BAD expirence the staff r like a chiter n the resorts with the other againt they not help us if they recived other booking n they get gud money then they cancile there on low rate booking also I had very bad expirence for that,, they dont feel that we r with our familey we have kids they not even try to solve the problem only drop to agent n agent drop on them we reach there at 6 o clock at evening till that they dont tell us that our booking r canciled by them, they dont even mail us that they dont have booking. Hw pepole cheat I know that day 2 day before I paid toatal amount of there resorts hw they cancile I dont know resorts managment and agent make us fool. … very bad expirence after it we go windflower resorts coorg really they staff r very nice for us n they give us really gud feelings… pls dont make fool to public.

Amanvana! Alluring, Marvellous, Astounding, Natural, Vanity, Adventurous Naive, Amazing. Truly a paradise in Coorg. I had a wonderful opportunity to stay in this aesthetically done up place with my family usher in the new year. A special thanks to Mrs. Kavya for giving an insight in to her dream project. Courteous staff, Sundra, Mathews and Swaroop needs a special mention. Love to and will be back at the earliest as it's just 4hrs drive from my home in Bengaluru.

Nice place to relax. Was there for the 31st dec 14 party, however the party was not much to the expectation. good food but very repetative if you book in package. ordinary spa. Full marks for river trekking experience.

Amanvana.! Awesome place for a much needed break, been to this place on November with Friends, enjoyed the stay with Nature. I surely suggest this place for all who wants to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Because there is so much greenery around Amanvana, you wake up with the chirping of birds. There is a swimming pool in case you decide to go for a dip. They also have sun beds placed next to the pools where you can sip your drinks and just relax after a good swim. A swim at night underneath the stars is the best feeling of all.

Enjoyed the amenities at Amanvana Spa and Resort. True to its reputation, this was by far the best place I have stayed in at Coorg. Well-staffed and very attentive personnel who take care of your every need. The spa facilities were great and a must-have when you are there. The rooms are luxurious. The food was exquisite. Had an amazing time and looking forward to visit again.

Amanvana Spa is one of the luxury resorts in coorg. I am very much impressed with this place and I can proudly say that this is one of the best coorg resorts. The decor of the entire place was tastefully done. The food was mouth-watering. The pool area was very nice and had sunbeds to chill out after a nice swim. It also had a waterfall on the edge which was a very soothing experience. The spa was the best of all. They had a variety of treatments that can be tried and is a must-try for anyone who visits the resort. The whole experience was very enriching and I can’t wait to visit the place again. I recommend everyone to must visit this luxury spa coorg resort once. I am sure that all of you will fall in love with this place.

My experience is regarding the restaurant. I had a party of 12 that arrived at 11:30 and we were told that lunch does not begin until 12:30 so we waited. I asked them to set up the tables for us and for menus so that we could order at 12:30. I had asked if we could order the starters so that the chefs could prep them (the chefs were sitting at the bar doing nothing) but I was told that that was not possible. So we ordered drinks and waited until 12:30. By 12:30 the table was prepared and my party ordered all of the food (salads, appetizers, main courses). The first dish came out over half an hour later. Dishes continued to come out at a ridiculously slow pace. By the time the last dish came out it was passed 2. We asked that they hurry up but nonetheless, the dishes came out extremely slowly. Furthermore, there was no sense to the order which dishes were coming out, we were still receiving appetizer dishes by the time that the main courses began to come out and our side dishes of Indian bread (naan and rotti) did not come out until the very end of the meal after all of our other dishes had already come out (many of those dishes are meant to be served with the breads as sides / complements). They also made many mistakes with the dishes, giving us the wrong ones. When we sent the dish back (chili chicken) they actually just washed the chicken off and covered it in the other sauce (manchurie) — we could tell because we could still taste the chili on the chicken.
