Mandarin Resort - Kaluk

I recently stayed for two days at this hotel during my solo travel in a remote village in Sikkim, and although I unfortunately didn’t note down the name of staff, the experience is something I won’t forget.
The property itself was peaceful and surrounded by stunning natural beauty, but what truly made the stay special were the people. Every single member of the staff was incredibly humble, simple, and genuinely friendly. Their warmth and sincerity made me feel less like a guest and more like someone they were happy to host.
In a place so far from the rush of city life, their kindness stood out even more. It was a quiet, comforting experience that I would gladly relive. I hope to return one day—and this time, remember the name.

4 of our family stayed at this resort (super dlx cottage, upper floor) for 2 nights, 25/02/26 & 26/02/26. The resort premises itself is extremely beautiful but the rooms didn't give us the feel of luxury & quality that was expected from such resort. Room was really big though, with all the amenities expected. Food quality was okayish.
The location is below Kaluk bazar and the the road to the resort is narrow and very steep.
The main plus point of this resort is it's beautifully landscaped area (it's huge), view and good service. All the staffs are very courteous and helpful.

We have stayed in numerous hotels and resorts. But the hospitality we received at your place was simply the best.
The view of the kanchenjunga from the rooms were breathtaking. Thank you for everything once again 🙏

I had heard of Mandarin Resort and its views are mesmerising since long, till I experienced it on my own during Christmas of 2025.
The rooms were spacious, every room has a balcony with breathtaking view of the valley and Kanchenjanga peak. Even if the rooms dont have a view, the moment you step out of the room, you witness the magnanimous mountain.
The food and service goes above the room. Every staff serves proactively with a smiling face. The breakfast spread is worth mentioning too.
Their restaurant also has an open area overviewing the Kanchanjangha. Also, they have an ultimate view poing withing the resort.
Only issue is for self driven tourists as the road connecting the resort and main road is bad. Sharp turns and steep sloped roads are not easy to drive. Problem may be faced while returning to main road. However, they offer chauffer service without any charge from and to the main road.
It is a wonderful place and much recommended.

We are just mind blown by the experience we had at this resort. Right from the start all the staff were very welcoming and made sure that we did not have the slightest inconvenience. More than the stay it was the entire experience that we would remember for our entire lives. The views of the majestic Kanchenjungha are absolutely stunning. We could have given it a 100 star rating if possible.

Best Resort to Enjoy with friends.
Large space with garden and very fantastic place to spend evening and night time with bornfire at winter. Best part is Kanchenjunga view from each room.
Staffs are well behaved and all the teams are very hospitable.

Amazing place with amazing hospitality. Had stayed there in September for work. The service from prearrival itself was so good with the manager constantly corresponding so professionally and politely. We felt so welcomed and every aspect of our stay there was beyond comfort. Kudos to the manager and Mr. Sulab (owner) for doing such a great job. The place is lovely with amazing view. Food was also great. Will definitely recommend to all. Thank you Team Mandarin!

This resort has the most fantastic view possible. We stayed in the family room and saw the entire sleeping Buddha range from our bed. The Khangchendzonga view was awesome. Service in this resort is top notch.

Excellent hospitality with very cordial welcome and throughout our stay at the resort… Excellent food, room conditions along with a best view of Kanchanjangha form all the rooms and cottages… We enjoyed a lot our stay here a d willing to come here again…

Excellent resort, Excellent management, Great hospitality & Excellent service. Best view of kanchanjunga from all rooms & cottage of the resort. This is my 4th visit to Mandarin kaluk and I intend to come again and again.

The rooms were specious and the foods were good too but only thing as I felt is that the location of this hotel is a bit downhill and a very steep ascent is really challenging for any regular front wheel car. Once you are in the hotel you have a good arena of play area.

Mandarin Village Resort in Kaluk is an exceptional destination for travelers seeking comfort and natural beauty in Sikkim. The resort is thoughtfully designed, boasting a range of excellent amenities that cater to the needs of its guests.
A significant highlight of our stay was the breathtaking view from our rooms. From the balconies, we were treated to stunning vistas of the majestic Kanchenjunga, which added a magical touch to our experience. Beyond the views, the courtesy of the staff truly amazed us. They consistently served with a smile, even during late-night and unusual hours, always maintaining a cheerful demeanor.
The rooms at Mandarin Village Resort were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. Additionally, the resort offers a variety of indoor games, providing entertainment options for guests of all ages along with a stunning view point arena made inside the resort, through the jungle which is absolutely stunning.
The well-kept gardens and a beautiful deck overlooking the valley and Kanchenjunga further enhanced our stay, offering perfect spots for relaxation and enjoying the serene environment.
The different foods at the resort was generally decent and very good, though we felt some dishes, particularly Bengali cuisine, could be improved. However, the different fish curries were very tasty.

We had a pleasant stay at Mandarin Village Resort, Kaluk, West Sikkim for 2 days in May 2025. The resort is located at a strategic place overviewing a green valley. It is a nice place to stay with great hospitality of the staff. They treated us as their family. The food is very good here and the service is prompt. We had the luck to view from our cottage room, the snow-cladded Kanchenjunga range of mountains lit with the golden rays of the rising sun in the early morning of both the days. Overall experience of staying at Mandarin Village Resort, Kaluk was very good.

During our one day stint we had a nice experience to stay there. We were in the nature's arm. Cleanliness is seen everywhere. Food quality is also very good. Overall sweet memory.

We spent two days at the resort. It is an excellent property in the lap of nature. It has breathtaking mountain view from the cottage balcony if the weather is clear. However, maintenance of the property needs to be improved.
