Daarapari

Daara Pari is a warm, homely stay amidst the mountains. The space will fill you up with joy and peace. One of the best things about the stay is the host, Sristi who is warm and endearing. Definitely one of the coolest people I've come accross. She took us on walks around the village and showed breathtaking and unique spots, I had best time laying under the bamboo groves, listening to local music and unwinding. We were accompanied by her pet Puchu who entertained us along the way.
The food at Daara Pari is delightful and made with a lot of love. The ingredients are from the fields around which made it super special.
The room overlooking the fields is spacious, clean and comfortable. There's a lot of space around the house to relax, unwind and enjoy the views.
Can't wait to come back and experience the mud house.

Tucked away in nature's arms is a special place that feels just like home. The air smells so fresh and clean. When I arrived, I instantly felt like I belonged, and Sristi will attend to all your asks and make sure that stay is comfortable. I loved our walks inside the hills and around the town.
Every part of this place is beautiful, but what makes it truly special is the people. They're like a big family, a second home to me now.
Time moves slowly here, giving you space to relax and enjoy the simple things. Whether you're exploring the fields, listening to the water in a stream, or just sitting under a tree, there's a peaceful feeling that fills you up.

I should begin with saying Daara Pari is not a place for all. No, don't expect me to come up with the usual touristy feedback! I have spent three days of my first Sikkim trip in this very much home-alike farm stay in Bermiok. The host Srishti, her cousin Rajeev and BB Dhaju (who I call BB King) welcomed me with all the warmth I needed in the hills and took me around the farm, Village and places around introducing me to the culture, food, beverages and biodiversity of the place.
At no point did I feel the sophistication of any other hotel or homestays I've been to before. All you want to enjoy Daara Pari is to move on their pace, be in the present and live the agrarian way. Keep in mind that it is a running farm before a place to stay and people of Daara Pari are the coolest you will meet in Sikkim.
Srishti has an incredible energy that I admire and she can talk about anything under the sun. Rajeev is so determined to make these amazing wines called 'Shimpu Gurus' from the organic fruits and flowers he sources from the region. BB King is sweet, makes amazing food and entertains you with his love for Cinema and yesteryears music.
Daara Pari has won my heart. It's going to be a place I can call home no matter how far away it is. 🌹

My stay at Daara Pari was nothing short of extraordinary. The host, Sristi, was the epitome of hospitality. Her extensive knowledge about the local area made our experience unique and memorable. She not only suggested but also accompanied us on hikes, showcasing breathtaking views and hidden gems of the locale.
The food at Daara Pari deserves a special mention. Every meal was a delightful experience, blending local flavors with the comfort of home cooking. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made every dinner feel like a family gathering.
The overall ambiance of Daara Pari is what truly sets it apart. The cozy and comfortable settings, coupled with Sristi’s warm and friendly approach, made us feel at home.
For anyone looking for a genuine and heartwarming experience, I highly recommend Daara Pari Homestay. It's not just a place to stay; it's a place to live and embrace the true essence of hospitality.

We stayed in Daara Pari with my family for 4 nights and it was a surreal experience. If you're the kind of person who likes serenity, some hiking, some getting lost in the wild and want to experience real Himalayan farm life — this is the place to be.
Sristi and her team will take care of you with utmost care. All the food here (breakfast and dinner) is served with either produce from their own farms or from neighbour's farms. However, this is not the place if you want burgers and pizzas, rather healthiest and the highest quality home made comfort food :) Both veg and non-veg options are available (mutton, chicken).
Around the property there's a lot of things to see — you can go for walks in the forest and check out the Limbu settlements through forest stairs or simply enjoy an incredible night walks and witness the rare fireflies. Also occasionally you can get touristy and visit Pelling or Rinchenpong which has a lot of monasteries, ruins and other viewpoint sites.
