Maya Inn

I often visit Hotel Maya Inn located at Indira Bypass, Gangtok, Sikkim. Last night, on the 31st of October 2025. I visited the hotel around 10 PM to book rooms for myself and my friend. The main door was closed, so we rang the calling bell. A housekeeping staff member opened the door and spoke to us very rudely. He then called the second manager, who was equally impolite and demanded ₹2500 upfront before even starting the booking process, as if we were not genuine guests.
We had come late at night because one of our staff members had met with an accident and was admitted to the hospital. Since our home was far away, we decided to stay nearby. However, the disrespectful behavior we faced from the hotel staff was completely unacceptable.
I will never visit Hotel Maya Inn again in my life, nor will I recommend it to any of my staff, friends, or family. The attitude of the staff was extremely arrogant. The hotel’s tagline “Atithi Devo Bhava” (Guests are like God) clearly holds no meaning for such ill-mannered and unprofessional employees.

Fabulous stay for family, very supportive staff. Big size rooms with a good view. The complimentary breakfast was also good.

Our family stayed in 4 rooms. 2 rooms were good. But in one of the rooms bathroom door got stuck and unable to lock it from inside. Balcony was too small. Rest of the service was good.

Hotel staffs are really nice and well behaved…good food, hygienic…overall our experience was really nice.

The room was clean and comfortable.
Location is excellent, close to key attractions.
Staff were polite and helpful throughout the stay.
Overall, a pleasant and hassle-free experience.
Would definitely recommend it to others.

The hotel staff is excellent, the rooms are clean, and the team is extremely helpful, providing great hospitality throughout the stay.

Personally I loved their service because they were so responsive towards us, and staff over there (Deb sharma) who was so kind to us, and guiding us.

I stayed at this hotel for 12 days. Rooms are neat, spacious and clean. Breakfast was decent. For the price, this is the best hotel around and the staff was good. Mr. Dev Sharma is very resourceful, professional and accommodating.

Mr. Dev — Manager and his team provided outstanding hospitality and care. Every detail was thoughtfully managed, and the warmth and professionalism displayed were exceptional. Best service I have ever seen… Best location, food …

Stayed for 3 nights and the accommodation was very pleasant and quiet. The complimentary breakfast provided was also very good and the staff was very helpful.
They even provided us with an extra blanket without asking.

The stay has always been amazing out here including the hospitality, the rooms and the staffs. It’s a great place. It’s our go to stay place whenever we feel like going out.

The overall experience was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and will always help you for every city related things, will help you to in cabs and other things.
Recommended for family stay and for couples. The breakfast was good. They prepare the food as per your preference.
