Central Hill Resort The Mall Road

NOT RECOMMENDED, POOR PROPERTY!
Its was the very first time we had to stay at such a pathetic property! Don't go on the pictures shared on the internet as the rooms are exact opposite of it. So dirty, full of molds, fungus and gloomyness. The smell of the drained walls is also something which is unbearable. There are much better hotels at this price. Food is okayish not much options for vegetrians but overall would never like to visit any of the centrall hill property all over India. As a customer would not recommend the same as well.

This is a nice budget-friendly hotel located close to MG Marg. The staff were very helpful, courteous, and cooperative throughout our stay.
Initially, we were allotted a smaller room facing the road. However, upon our request, Mr. Imran Khan kindly upgraded us to a larger and more comfortable room on the quieter side of the property. He also provided a room heater complimentary, which made our stay even more pleasant.
Another gesture we truly appreciated was that the hotel allowed us to park our bike on their premises for an additional two days while we were away on our North Sikkim trip.
Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a good location, reasonable pricing, and excellent hospitality.

Very much rude staff behaviour. They don't have lunch facility, we asked them for plates to eat lunch (ordered from outside) but they didn't give. Specially the person who sit on reception area may his name Imran he never replied properly anything if we asked. Room was very old model. Bathroom was pathetic. Food taste was worst. Never recommend this hotel to anyone. Very bad experience.

I went there with my parent in May 2024 and expected quality rooms as per their bookings. But I was so disappointed really. I booked through agoda and when reached the lobby they said the booking was invalid and we had to pay quite the extra money. Also they said 3people are not allowed and asked extra for that too. All these aside the room was okayish but the service was hilarious. Water was never present continuously and when asked for it they would say yes they would switch on the motor etc but never actually did. The roof was very cute and a great hanging out place for the mornings and evenings. Apart from that the hotel is situated at a top-notch place (which is the only thing I liked). Within 700-800 metres is the mall road and also the market, so that's the bonus.

Worst rooms I have ever seen. Bathroom door knobs and taps are broken.
Staffs are not cooperative. Never kept a request.
Amenities which are showing online were there. And the lifts were not proper and they looked like old hotel lifts. And the towels, bedsheet, and the blankets had some marks which looked like it had never washed.

I am not willing to give any star to the hotel. The temple confirmed 2 super delux room for my guest and on check in they were given classic rooms. On checking with the team I was informed that a renovation is going on so they had to be shifted to classic rooms. This is something I don't accept. I had booked 2 rooms for 1 night on 13 Feb and and an additional night just 2 days before check. So dates were from 6 to 8 Mar. Never was I informed that there is renovation going so we will give the customers classic rooms. This is completely a lapse of service from your team and I lost the client since you never refunded the money for the downgrade nor offered anything additional to the client. I am not happy with this level of service and will not recommend anyone to the property. As it is you nos just goes to board and team also take there own seet time to respond which also too irritating.

Pleasant Stay at Central Hill Resort – Great Location.
I have visited Central Hill Resort twice, and both times I had a comfortable and pleasant stay. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its prime location in the central market area, which makes everything easily accessible — shops, restaurants, and local attractions are all within walking distance.
The staff is polite and helpful, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is warm and welcoming. The interiors have a nice traditional touch, and the seating and dining areas are spacious and comfortable.
If the property undergoes some renovation and minor upgrades, it has the potential to become one of the best hotels in the central market area. The location and structure are already strong points — with modernization, it would truly stand out.
Overall, I had a good experience and would consider staying here again.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It literally had mold and fungus everywhere. The staff was rude. The lifts were not working. It can easily ruin any holiday. There was no hot water. And even if you tell them they don't do anything about it. No hot water, torn bedsheets and unclean rooms and bathrooms. With horrible staff and be ready to climb 4 floors because the lift doesn't work.

The pics shown are very bright and must have taken when the hotel was built. The present condition is exact opposite of these pics. There is gloominess everywhere. The rooms were different than what shown in the pics. The quality of linens/bed were worst. Uneven and hard. The bedsheets were dirty and yellow. The towels smells of previous use. The rooms looks old and all materials used were old. Feels very gloomy in entire hotel. The staff was ok. Everyone very strong in reasoning, and arguments. Canteen services were good, though not much availaible for vegetarians. Canteen staff was humble whomever we came in contact with. The one aged person on the reception was very humble as experience of hospitality speaks. I wont like to checked in again atleast in this hotel.

I have booked this hotel through make my trip which showed it as a 3 star hotel and the reference pictures shown were also very good. But on reaching I saw that the hotel was worst.
Filthy rooms with mold, pan stains, unwashed bedsheets and pillows. There were hair on the bed. Leaky bathrooms. The room smelled like someone smoked in there. When reported to the reception they showed us 2 more rooms but they were more worst.
There was no proper response from the reception even when make my trip correspondent tried to reach them they were not responsive. Above this the person in the reception was giggling when we were complaining and was not even there until the issue was resolved.

The location couldn’t be better, it’s right at the heart of MG Marg, so everything from cafes to shops is just a short walk away.
