Very Very Poor Service, Reception does not Attend Telephone any time, washroom Water not Available. After you report the hotel staff will start arguments.

The MOST PATHETIC experience. I booked through MMT and they gave a room in basement with a window opening directly to other hotel, no sunlight. People kept peeping through the bathroom as it is directly visible to the next hotel. They opened our room without permission and touched our valuables. Breakfast ordered was 2 hrs late. They were asking for 3 times more if you want to upgrade your room. DO NOT BOOK this hotel. Worst experience here.

Hotel is not upto standard given its price. They wont even provide mineral bottle with room for 5000 per night room. No working tv, unclean and dirty rooms. Kitchen doesnt starts before 8 am in morning. If your are traveling with child and who might need milk, then go outside and find a tea stall.
I was told parking would be available by hotel but not free.

Good At this price, but upgradation in very much necessary. Electric kettle not available, TV Not in working condition, WiFI service is very poor. Wardrobe gate not working. Floor and carpet are not clean.

Highly unhygienic!
No water in washroom.
Hair all over the bed.
Unclean furniture.
Disgusting washrooms.

Came here 4 years ago the hotel was top notch so thought of booking again.
However it seems the day I left 4 years ago since then the owner has not spent even a penny over the property.
1) Dampness on the walls.
2) wooden designs and wall damaged.
3) Sofa cum bed untidy.
4) Water issues throughout the day,
U dont even get water in jetspray to wash your poop.
5) When you come back to hotel late night staffs would fight with for coming late,
The staff even had the audacity to tell he wont open the door if I return late night.
6) Appoint staffs after giving them proper training.
Good points:
1) very good location near mg marg.
2) Food is decent not great.
3) Manager is soft spoken and very helpful but the one other staff is pathetic who is incharge during the night shift.
In short a good property getting detoriated because of 2 reason unprofessional staffs and owners not showing much interest in the reviews and issues raised.
When we entered the room the bathroom door lock was broker on requesting the carpenter came and they worked till 10.45 pm and didnt even send a staff to clean the stuffs.
Extremely unprofessional avoid avoid avoid using this hotel.
I had videos all the customers fighting with the manager for so many issues unfortunately I am not getting option to upload videos.

Booked Our Hotel Recently, And Seriously The Hospitality Out There Was Literally The Best One In The City! We Had Such A Beautiful Stay At The Hotel.

Horrible experience! can a hotelier enter in your room without your permission! I have never seen anywhere in my life that when you are not in the room… busy to see the city tour someone entering your booked room without your permission.
When I asked for that they clearly accepted that they have duplicate key to enter the room.

Online, the pictures showed something else, but after booking, the room was very bad. The whole night there was noise and disturbance, and I didn’t like it because online they showed nice pictures, but after booking, they made us stay in a dirty poorly managed room.

Totally different room rate for same room on back-to-back days. Don't believe on the given price. Super deluxe means a simple room with basic amenities. But, Wi-Fi is not working as you enter room and close to the door. Safety and security issue is most pathetic. Not willing to provide actual room keys. Its very pathetic to see the workers entered room without informing the customer as well as the entry/sneak-peek happened when customer away from room.

Worst room. No ventilation. Room size is small and they don’t provide the room as mentioned in Goibibo. Horrible experience. Please don’t go by reviews. All are fake.

The thing is you get it in a budget that is good, but the service is poor, they can't even arrange for a set top box, though they provide you with a TV set. Even you got to ask for the tea kit and the washroom wasn't up to the mark. But yes the food was great, the breakfast and also the overall food quality was really good.

Amazing hotel in gangtok. Nice location. Warm hospitality. Decent behaviour of staffs. Pleasant environment. Cleaning and other services are really nice. ☺️overall superb management. And food served here is delicious and the rooftop restaurant view was really awesome. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to trip Sikkim (gangtok).

Stayed here for last 5 Days. It was a pleasant and comfortable stay. Hotel staff are very supportive and helpful also very friendly. I would like to choose good ratings for everything also I would definitely recomend to stay here at Amba Regency.

Pros: Good Location (walking distance from MG road & other markets), spacious rooms, cheaper than neighboring hotels.
Cons: Maintenance is the biggest issue here. Sofa covers look dirty, rooms may smell like cigarette once you enter (one tourist was complaining once we enter), in our room TV didn't work, water glass was broken, there was no electric kettle (they provided next day after many requests), and sometime tap water goes dry!
Verdict: If you can compromise with some maintenance issues, you get a hotel with big rooms in a very convenient location at a comparably lower rate. If you can't compromise with little issues with maintenance, go for other hotels.
