Booked Our Hotel Recently, And Seriously The Hospitality Out There Was Literally The Best One In The City! We Had Such A Beautiful Stay At The Hotel.

Horrible experience! can a hotelier enter in your room without your permission! I have never seen anywhere in my life that when you are not in the room… busy to see the city tour someone entering your booked room without your permission.
When I asked for that they clearly accepted that they have duplicate key to enter the room.

Online, the pictures showed something else, but after booking, the room was very bad. The whole night there was noise and disturbance, and I didn’t like it because online they showed nice pictures, but after booking, they made us stay in a dirty poorly managed room.

Totally different room rate for same room on back-to-back days. Don't believe on the given price. Super deluxe means a simple room with basic amenities. But, Wi-Fi is not working as you enter room and close to the door. Safety and security issue is most pathetic. Not willing to provide actual room keys. Its very pathetic to see the workers entered room without informing the customer as well as the entry/sneak-peek happened when customer away from room.

Worst room. No ventilation. Room size is small and they don’t provide the room as mentioned in Goibibo. Horrible experience. Please don’t go by reviews. All are fake.

The thing is you get it in a budget that is good, but the service is poor, they can't even arrange for a set top box, though they provide you with a TV set. Even you got to ask for the tea kit and the washroom wasn't up to the mark. But yes the food was great, the breakfast and also the overall food quality was really good.

Amazing hotel in gangtok. Nice location. Warm hospitality. Decent behaviour of staffs. Pleasant environment. Cleaning and other services are really nice. ☺️overall superb management. And food served here is delicious and the rooftop restaurant view was really awesome. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to trip Sikkim (gangtok).

Stayed here for last 5 Days. It was a pleasant and comfortable stay. Hotel staff are very supportive and helpful also very friendly. I would like to choose good ratings for everything also I would definitely recomend to stay here at Amba Regency.

Pros: Good Location (walking distance from MG road & other markets), spacious rooms, cheaper than neighboring hotels.
Cons: Maintenance is the biggest issue here. Sofa covers look dirty, rooms may smell like cigarette once you enter (one tourist was complaining once we enter), in our room TV didn't work, water glass was broken, there was no electric kettle (they provided next day after many requests), and sometime tap water goes dry!
Verdict: If you can compromise with some maintenance issues, you get a hotel with big rooms in a very convenient location at a comparably lower rate. If you can't compromise with little issues with maintenance, go for other hotels.

Worst Experience. There's no water in the washroom throughout the night. When asked about the same, the man at the reception said go and sleep sir the water will come eventually at morning. I mean you are charging 2500 bucks for Deluxe room and no water in the washrooms. No TV service was available even a big TV is on the wall for the website photos. Flush not working. Bedsheets are not cleaned. Food is good but very costly. Only good thing was the rooftop restaurant. Nothing else is worth paying so much for such a pathetic service. Do Not Book Room no. 206 for god's sake. The room doesn't have a proper lock. U need to cart a big lock and key with you.

The hotel is outstanding and our stay was really good and peaceful. We will definitely visit again.

It was an awesome experience with them, very humble staff especially Mr. Amit ji and mr. Roshan who gave me full coordination regarding travelling, spots, its timing and all. Even though I usually come late at night, they still open up the gate quickly.
I have stayed here for 4 to 5 times in the last 2 years but every time their hospitality remains the same polite and sweet.
The place is very nearer to MG market just walking distance only.

We booked a super deluxe room with a sofa, but it turned out to be pathetic: no deluxe amenities, the TV and Wi-Fi were non-functional, the room and washroom were dirty with a foul smell, the water supply was absent, and the management was unresponsive and rude. Please consider another property for a better room at this price. I would also like to mention that the room was extremely hot, with no AC provided; when we asked for a table fan, they refused, and the manager was so rude that he did not respond to our complaints.

Management needs to be more focused and approaching to customers.
Delux Room was below ground level needs better servicing and competitive pricing.
Rooftop restaurant is awesome and best thing about this hotel.

Room was in the basement and was suffocating, without TV and intercom. There was no lift and for breakfast We had to climb 5 floors (2 basement + 3 floors) as it was served on rooftop. Only good part it was near taxi stand and near mg market.

Rooms are average, just for basic stay. Check-in and check-out was very smooth. Hotel is at a prime location. Rooftop restaurant is the USP for the property. Food is good will suited North Indians.
