Tarana Homestay

It was an amazing stay. The property, the food, the overall experience was very much relaxing.
The hosts were extremely nice. They have a beautiful coffee estate. Most of the items on the menu are organically grown in their estate. They will give you a tour as well. It's a beautiful homestay located near nagarhole wildlife reserve.
If you are lucky, you might sight a few wild elephants and boars near the forest reserve.
Around 20-40 species of birds are there that keep making beautiful sounds and it feels so relaxing to just be quiet and hear them sing.
Overall a wonderful experience. Loved it.

Believe me, the pictures available online do not do justice to this place.
This has to be one of the best experiences I had in terms of comfort and food. The rooms are very cozy and the washrooms are neat and clean. Located between Nagarhole Wildlife reserve this place is perfect for relaxation and spending quality time.
The hosts are super amazing and they make sure that you feel comfortable.
The food is too good here. I mean I won't be able to describe it in words. Most of their food is organic and grown in their own estate. Though I will add pictures, so that you can see for yourself.
Moreover, they have their own coffee estate spread across an area of 40-50 acres, which they will arrange a tour of. A lot of exotic trees and plants.
Being situated right in the Nagarhole Wildlife reserve, you might get friendly animal (elephant, wild boars, monkeys, langurs and deers) visits near the cottage which makes the stay even more thrilling.
We had an absolute blast staying at this heaven of a place, be quiet and listen to the jungle music, it's like a treat to ears. You can spot more than 30-40 species of birds here.
That's not it, they have all possible board games, card games and carrom for you to enjoy. Sit by the bonfire and have a blast with your friends and family.
Totally worth it. Recommended. Please have a nice stay. Thank me later.

From entering the gates of the homestay to saying (sad) goodbyes to the beautiful place, its been an amazing experience.
If anyone is looking for a place to just get away, this is the place to be.

My wife and I stayed at Tarana Homestay, visiting Coorg from the UK, in March. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it. The accommodation is comfortable, the food is delicious and the setting is tranquil and picturesque. Coorg is a beautiful district and this is a lovely base to explore it from or just to rest at. Sheetal and her husband are wonderfully hospitable and very interesting to stay with.

Great stay, fantastic location; surrounded by Coorg's natural beauty. Wonderful cottage with an even better bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Host was very accommodating and made us feel comfortable (created a makeshift bed for the third member of our party as we all wanted to stay in one room). Overall highly recommend.

The perfect place to stay if you are looking for a peaceful vacation. It's a beautiful cottage, hosted by a sweet couple, who will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. There are a lot of nice places to explore nearby. An early morning walk with a cup of coffee and a Misty view is a must. It's surreal and private. A great escape from citylife 🌸

Stayed here for 2 nights. The hosts Sheetal and Dev are two gems. We stayed in the cottage which offers majestic isolation. Rooms and toilets are five star and the balcony sit our area works as a tranquilizer… the dining arena is common for all guests which opens up to the garden. Great just to sit out and enjoy the estate coffee. The breakfast menu is a bit unilateral and might have worked better with a little consultation. But the way Sheetal goes out of her way to please guests is a lesson for hospitality. I had just mentioned casually about my liking for Coorgish Pork Curry. And there it was in lunch. That too when my wife doesnt have pork. She was provided with fish curry. 2 separate items for two guests? I am floored.
