We stayed at StayVista Crystal Homes, Coorg for 2 days and unfortunately had a disappointing experience overall.
The biggest issue was the lack of basic hospitality and maintenance. At night, our bedspreads became covered with small insects, and despite informing the staff, the bed linen was not changed the next day. We were also not provided with a fresh set of towels during our stay.
The rooms appeared poorly maintained, with several lights not working and a noticeable damp smell. While the property has potential, the upkeep did not meet our expectations.
The food was average at best. The curries were decent, but the phulkas/chapatis were often undercooked. The breakfast spread was the only meal that we found satisfactory.
What left the most bitter impression, however, was the handling of a genuine medical emergency in our family. Prior to our stay, we requested a cancellation or rescheduling of the reservation due to a serious medical situation and promptly submitted all supporting medical reports. Despite this, we were kept waiting for nearly a week without a clear response, only to have our request ultimately rejected by the owner. We understand that policies exist, but exceptional circumstances involving health emergencies should be treated with greater empathy and consideration.
Overall, the combination of poor maintenance, unsatisfactory service, and the lack of compassion shown during a medical emergency made this a very disappointing experience for our family.
We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The location is excellent, surrounded by beautiful nature and peaceful surroundings, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind.

Our stay at Cystal homestay was wonderful. It's serene surroundings give you peace and tranquility. The caretaker Lohi and Ravi were really friendly and helpful.
Breakfast and Dinner need to be booked in advance but the service and food is top notch. You have access to the kitchen and utensils, fridge, oven, kettle and iron box.
Rooms are neat and tidy with a traditional touch. There are board games, cards, carrom and badminton available.
A big enough campfire will be setup on request and will last you hours. For 8-10 people, it is one of the best homestays hands down.
