After staying at 5 star hotels, this place was a far cry from them. Not happy when I arrived but the very next day there was a turn around. Very good sleep and wonderful view made everything ok. It's very, very basic and eco conscious. Restaurant staff were cheerful and welcoming.

Staff don't wake up before 8 AM, so you need to pull them out of bed for an early check-out! Cafe has a nice view of Lakshman Jhula, and a small Aarti done on the opposite bank in the evenings. Rooms are average.

One of the most calm and rejuvenate place in Rishikash. Must stay and enjoy the hospitality. Staff is welcoming and soft spoken.

Generally clean, esp for Indian standards. Staff helpful. Does not always have a procedure to make sure quality is standard. Generator covers power outages. Cafe, restaurant serves reasonable food. Coffee is not very good — instant…

Best location in Rishikesh. Hotel is located right on the bank of ganga. If you are looking for a ganga view hotel with nice service kunwar is the place to go.

Great location, probably best in rishikesh as far as I know. Top of that great food in one of the top rated restaurant cafe the goa. Can't get better then this. Highly recommended.

Kunwar Residency is my favourite guest house in Rishikesh. The rooms are lovely, the location is excellent and the views are spectacular. Service is great, especially the Manager and his team. I have stayed every year for the past 5 or 6 years. Thank You! Prices have become tooooo high this year that is one problem. If they continue to inflate I will have to stay elsewhere next year.

I wanted a clean hotel with view of Ganga and motorable to door step, Unknowingly I did selet Kunwar but it came up to my full expectations with everything. We stayed in deluxe room for 3 nights Enjoyed thoroughly Location just the right one with services excellent. Love to be there again Best wishes.

Friendly staff. Great views! BUT… the "Deluxe" room was very unclean. Infested with cockroaches. 10s of them. Crawling on you at night for crying out loud. The bed was too short and our heels had to hang off the edge. Ripped sheets. Wifi NEVER worked. Always some story. And when we visited (Aug off season granted) they were renovating and making a huge noise right above us. As in bashing down walls etc. This plus the constant 16 hours a day hooting on the Laxman bridge makes it hardly relaxing. If you prioritise views over comfort then maybe, but not for us. We cut our stay short. Ps. We have been budget travelling SE Asia for 4 months so not like we are fussy westerners. I would avoid.

The best views in town. Ask for a room not on the lower floor as there're only basic and do not worth the steep price.

Stayed in Room 102 for 2 nights. Amazing view of the Lakshman Jhula and Ganga Ghat from the balcony of the hotel. Hotel is literally on the river bank. Mr. Surya and his team provided excellent hospitality. Food is pretty decent. Close to several shopping and spa facilities. Love to be back here again.

Unfortunately, the standards of cleanliness of the rooms are in line with the Hindi tradition, beyond the excellent availability of the staff in trying to make our stay welcoming. Unjustifiable the presence of dirty sheets (only the one below) and the supply of the sheet above, to be put under the Featherin (also worn), only following NS. Request. Unjustifiable the presence of animals in the room, the lack of a chair or a closet, etc. Etc.

Amazing location, right beside Laxman Jhula, with an amazing view of the Ganga. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Recommended hotel for a day stay purpose.
