Good, clean, budget hostel. Free Wi-Fi & breakfast. Very helpful staff. Good location.

Very nice hostel in Varanasi, there are shared rooms and private rooms with private bathroom all with air conditioning, the breakfast is included in the price (you can have eggs, tosts and cornflakes). The staff of the hostel is the best part of it, very frindly and very nice guys. Every day they organize tours of the temples, markets and the tour of the gange river by boat, the prices are really reasonable.

Quiet and relaxed hostel. We like Anil's hospitality. Some of the other staff could be more polite. The continental breakfast is OK. At 3.30 PM there's tea time with chai and biscuits is served for free. There are several tours at the hostel available to get to know more about Varanasi. All services are still available after check-out. There's luggage storage or you can make use of the common toilets and showers at the rooftop. However, at the rooftop those facilities need a renovation. It is better to make friends at GoStops and use their facilities after checkout. Due to the common spaces this is easy.

Over all a good hostel. Far better than other hostels in Varanasi. Ac are old and do not cool good. Also the staff is bit strict and unpolite.

It was a very good experience to be there… The staff n services are very nice! Avoid starting in Hostel in day time as the AC won't b available from 12-8pm and if the weather is hot, then it won't be bearable. Apart from that, everything is just perfect!

Your solo trip cannot get better than this. Nice breakfast, clean room and beds, so many people to share some stories. And best of all these people are one of the best daily trip organizer in Varanasi.

It is one of the coolest and nicest hostels in india. It is a really good price, clean, and have pretty much the solution for all the topical needs for a traveller. I book for 2 days And I decide to stay so much longer.

I stayed here for a week and This hostel has it all. Great staff — friendly and beyond helpful. Breakfast that’s included was amazing and the staff is attentive to keeping everything stocked. They have rooms for all budgets even tents on the rooftop. Great location walking distance to the ghats but far enough away from the business to relax. They have small drinks/snack selection for purchase.

It's quaint, love the interiors especially the amazing paintings and lighting. The staff if so helpful and without a doubt loads of fun. No where can you get the tour of Varanasi better than here.

Perfect place. Clean. Spacious. Good staff. Great service. Very convenient location. They have small city tours every day for a minimal cost and they are amazing. Its a great way to explore varanasi without any hassle. Lot of facilities available as well. Loved the food tour, Ghats tour and also the sunrise boat ride in the Ganges. A special mention to the gostops team for mailing me my driving license which I left back at the hostel. Appreciate it!

Good location, you can walk everywhere. Cheap, breakfast within the Q is given in the hostels is fine, with freshly made eggs. I would definitely repeat if I were to go again. There is a shop option, which is a tent on the roof, I took it the first day but I do not recommend it, it is an individual shop. I thought Q was another style I had seen in Marrakech.

One of the finest hostel in the city, awesome staff, superb hospitality, very nicely built with a lot of personal touch and care. Lovely breakfast with so many options. Dorms and rooms and everything is very comfortable. Small small common areas on every floor are worth appreciating and give you a very cozy and comfortable feel, such a wonderful mix of open and close common areas. Community kitchen is also great, with lot of amenities to cook anything anytime.

Great hostel. Not the cheapest in India but worth the extra $$$. Really clean. Reliable hot water. Excellent breakfast included in price. Comfortable common areas and balconies. Highly recommend, and would stay again.

Cool. We had problems with the bathroom. And the option they gave was to go up the stairs 2 floors or lower 1. The truth was not giving.

Great atmosphere. Some of the tours are great, but ask around to check its the right thing for you. Very well placed and clean. Great breakfast! The double room we had was very nice! No alcohol sold in the premises so bring your own!

Really nice place for foreigner solo tourists. The ambience of the place makes you naturally interact with other guests.

I give 3 only because of the guys at the reception and for Anil who took us on the Ghat Tour. The hot water in the shower was on/off (more off) and the room was freezing cold! A window could help!

It's amazing to have this place to stay in while exploring Varanasi. The city is busy and Stops is the perfect sanctuary.

This place is really not famous among the locals. But it's the hot favourite among international backpackers. The reason is obvious. Its staff are really friendly and helpful. It's value for money. Comfortable stay and located near the Harishchandra Ghat.

I loved this place. It is best fir backpackers and people who want budget travelling. It is safe and all necessity are available here.

One of the best hostel experience. Clean nice place. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Tasty and healthy breakfast. Very kind staff. Only thing is it is situated a bit far from city center but really close to ghats. You may have little difficult in reaching this place.

Nothing bad to say about that place. I booked a night there in the 14 beds dorm and I was overbooked. They gave me a bed in the 6 beds dorm at no extra cost. The buffet for breakfast is awesome (and included in the price). Very clean, and helpful staff. Walkable distance to pretty much everything you want to see in Varanasi and many common rooms where you can chill and meet people.

Amazing hostel in a beautiful city, the hostel run plenty of tours and activities at reasonable prices that cover everything you'd want to do here with a limited number of days. The staff are lovely and helpful and the facilities are excellent. Good Wi-Fi, good toilets and showers (although in the large dorm there are a couple of flights of stairs and between you and bathrooms, which are on the roof). Excellent air con in dorm rooms and social areas. 10/10 would recommend.

India is just started to embrace the concept of hostels for solo travelers, and I was so happy to see it have such great options already. It’s a nice and artistic hostel in Varanasi, walking distance to the Ghats. With many interested common areas where we could relax. There is a room where we all travelers could chill and watch movies. Also, we had a musician who was travelling and who performed for us. There were some amazing vibes here, all were friendly, nice and lovely people I met. The Ghats are nearby and can be covered by foot. There is no restaurant at the hostel, but they have a tie-up with nearby restaurants through whom you could order food and get it delivered to the hostel. Took a heritage walk through “Roobaroo Walks” which was one of the best things we did in Varanasi (you could get more information about it from the hostel as well).

A haven in the awesome craziness that is Varanasi. Good breakfast, good private rooms (don't know about shared accommodation), great prices, and most of all, great people working there. They saved my trip by helping me fix my suitcase, I don't know what I would have done without them!

Best hostel to stay in at Banaras city, very peaceful and happy ambience with warm n caring staff.
Very friendly and safe accommodation, the terrace tents are a must try with nice aerial view from the rooftop of the Stops hostel.
The interactive terrace areas are so welcoming, you wont feel like leaving even at 1am in night. Overall a good stay for solo/ group bagpack travellers who wants whole day to explore the beauty of Banaras on their own.

STOPS Ambience is awesome, very warm staff, helpful people, had a great stay here, Very artistic and creative use of space for community living. Highly recommended for all young or solo travellers.

It is not just any other hostel I have been to, STOPS is where you should really give a stop. It is too good, relaxing, flexible, comfortable enjoyable and of course well maintained, neat and tidy.
