Hotel was clean with a nice rooftop view of the river. Location is decent but nearly every exchange with the staff was unpleasant and made the experience very uncomfortable.

I love too much this hotel. In this hotel there are many more facilities are given. Here more respect and prosperties are given by managers and all of those who are worked in this hotel.

Staff were good if not a little slow at getting things done. Expensive rooms as advertised as an exclusive balcony to deluxe room but runs round each floor. Doesnt take card payment only cash. No room safe or other amenities as advertised. Roof top looks like a building site and the restaurant is none existent.

The staff tried to trick us several times not to respond to our requests (that the plug in the room work properly, that the breakfast was buffet as advertised, and that they met with city tour that we had included) the truth would not go back, Although it is well located.

I did not like the pieces were dark m, the first was without power at the outlets, we had to ask to be moved from room, but we were told that the Lux would return, we were the only ones without light, until we got them to change us, the Calefont worked when I wanted, and they took us from the hotel to a "city tour" where the driver hurried us, saying hostilemente, fast so do not waste your time you or I, we lkevaron to three temples that were not very beautiful, we could not be more than 5 minutes, I do not recommend for anything, the staff were very friendly but poor management.

“Homely Atmosphere” I am staying one night and found to be a very good hotel to stay with family or if alone also. The front desk team has been very helpful and in particular Mr. Pankajr and his team, keep up the good job! best thing of this hotel is view of ganges and old city, it's a quite place. The food has been good and Mr. Ajay at Terrace lounge has been a very interesting person, the way he greets the guest and pays attention to small things of guest demands. Overall I would suggest rather recommend this hotel for a good stay within city centre and in your budget.

The rooms are okay although taps and toilet paper holder are nor kept clean. Loose light wiring in room and TV was not connected for the duration of our stay. The dining area needs serious upgrading. Chairs and tables should be replaced and table cloths can be thrown over the tables. New Year's eve they had a staff party and in the morning the dining area was not properly cleaned for breakfast. Cigarette buts and dirt were all over the floor. The kitchen is in a mess although the taste of the food is not bad. But who feels comfortable to eat in a place like that.

Ganga Monastery is hotel of view, room are very clean with all facility, you can see the sunrise view from you room, it's a mid budget hotel with excellent service. Staff are very helpful, foods are very testy. Overall it's a very nice accommodation. Highly recommended.

Well maintained, clean, great location close to Assi ghat. However, the best point about the Monastery is the staff. They are efficient, polite and incredibly helpful. They will go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable in the hotel. Great infor provided and great booking service for anything required at far better rates and way less hassle than trying to haggle yourself. Staff was amazing here, they set us up on a walking tour and evening ceremony boat ride which were both fantastic. The hotel is located at river ganges, excellent view from rooftop. Thanks to all staff of ganga monastery.

Nice cozy & quiet place to stay on the banks of Ganges. It's a guest house and don't expect hotel like service. Rooms & bathrooms are clean and OK in size.

Ganga Monastery is a very good hotel for Ganges View, it's a very quite place. Food are Delicious, staff are friendly and helpful. Tour organized by hotel was excellent, In one words Ganga monastery is "FABULOUS"

Quiet place away from the city noise bang opp ganga near to assi ghat. Rooms are also OK. Breakfast served is nominal fair but tasty. Staff very helpful. Overall good experience.

A good hotel for those who want to stay near at the bank of Ganga and want to have good sunrise views in the morning. Though the hotel is totally average nothing special in here. Room service is somewhat slow but rooms are clean and spacious. You also won't find any ghats in the front as they are supposed to be under construction. The hotel is near assi ghat which makes it a little far from rest of them. I would recommend this hotel only if you couldn't find a booking at the better ones.

Do not recommend. I stayed here because it was arranged with a tour package from my hotel tour from Delhi. This hotel overcharges you for the boat tours — it's actually 100rps and they charged me 300. Also, they connected me with a tour guide (which wasn't that great) and requested additional tips. He also took me to the crematorium and told me there was a priest volunteering to help people — and he wasn't a real priest. Finally, for how much I paid — I felt ripped off again — they gave me an inside room. The Wi-Fi was not great and the reception was not helpful.

“Great” I loved my visit here. The hotel is good. Room was clean. Food takes a bit longer but it was fresh and the said they didn't had much in stock because of less visitors. Good reason! The shower was great, warm to hot! And the Wi-Fi worked in room which I really like!

“Perfect place to experience Varanasi, 100% genuinity” Me and my girlfriend arrived just after 6AM via train and had requested pick-up service; well, hotel staff was waiting right outside our coach, as friendly as could be and took us straight to the hotel for a quick top-up on our sleep before adventuring into this unique city. Rooms fulfill all the basic western standards (hot water and Wi-Fi were never a problem), the hotel entrance hall is beautiful and the location is absolutely fantastic as you are near one of the main morning Ghats on one extreme of the riverside, so you can just walk along and back safely. Every single member of staff is perfect, super friendly and helpful. As we had not planned much of a trip, we decided to rely on advice from the manager and after a day, given the immediate trust we had on him, we decided to book a boat tour to watch the Religious Ceremonies from the river and then another tour to the city center of Varanasi and visit numerous small Hindu Temples (packed with nationals on their own personal pilgrimages) and the Buddhist Sacred Site of Sarnath. Breakfast was always delicious and most times we relied on the Hotel's restaurant as well — very good quality + portions. Their black tea was the best I had in the 2 weeks I spent traveling in the North. Thanks to all the staff for the marvelous experience.
