Udai Haveli Guest House Hotel

We found the atmosphere here uninviting from arrival. While the room itself was fairly clean, amenities were basic, and I found common areas messy and not at all appealing. The entry area is dark and cluttered, the upstairs eating area cramped, and a whole further roof area is unused and unloved. It isn't a stretch to imagine what an inviting version of Udai Haveli would look like… With so many guests coming through, why not organize some activity to clean, organize, and beautify the space? Some artistic travelers could paint murals! We found it unenjoyable enough to leave early. To the credit of the manager, Vikki, he was very gracious about it, even going so far as to change our booking on his end so we wouldn't have to pay cancellation fees. I hope our feedback is appreciated and/or helpful! With some more care and maintenance, this could be a fine lodging choice.

The staff is friendly, the food rich and the rooms comfortable and clean. In addition it has an excellent location and a terrace comfortable to spend the afternoon.

This place is great we had really good time, spending one week in total, the manager is now really good friend of me, so open and carrying of all 14. The restaurant is really delicious and they having one of the best view. I love it.

Awesome place to be the location is also very central. Vikram the housekeeper is very helpful and friendly. Great service and clean rooms.

The place is nice, not exactly clean and well maintained, but has a good location to visit the local attractions. Hot water (and sometimes water in general! ) works on request, which means you have to ask the manager to start the boiler. As far as the manager is concerned, Vic, we were a bit annoyed by his intrusive attitude: he is always around, even in the room, with an excuse to check if you are washing your clothes (strictly forbidden! ), if you are smoking, if you are eating something that is not bought in his restaurant, if you have switched off the lights, if the books you are touching in the hall are left in order and so on. He will ask you a thousand times if you want breakfast, lunch or dinner and even if it’s understandable that a manager tries to make the most profit possible out of his place, he pushes himself a bit too far: be prepared! The food was good, a bit overpriced, but fine.

Best hotel at cheap price in Udaipur… And the accommodation were very nice… Specially Bhabi ji, bhaiya and Ramesh bhaiya were very hospitable and very friendly with very good manner… Foods were very tasty like home… We were feeling just like a family environment, just like our home… It was awesome experience there…

The guest house itself is alright. Basic room, shared washroom with hot water shower if you request it and wait, and a rooftop with some nice views. Good location with walking proximity to a lot of attractions. We were a little worried upon arrival when we couldn't find anyone and there was no reception sort area, but once we met the host Vicky — he really enhanced our stay. He's such a funny, friendly and helpful guy — giving us recommendations to visit a cultural show and helping us to book our bus ticket.

Small place. The room felt like home. Good budjet accommodation for short stay purpose. The food was yummy.

Well I think room was fine but Bed I think could be more better. In bathrooms they need to put basic things like soap. Hot water was available. It is inside street so view is all street view. Best thing to stay in this area is to easily roam around near pichola and city palace and more other places. Bus stand was also walkable from here.

Great place to stay for a budget. Vicky (the caretaker) is incredible friendly and nice. Rooms are clean and good size, the place is close to everything.

Everything was good even the care taker as well, he is so polite and helpful. Also the best place to stay for the marketers or people have one-day work.

Nice place to stay in Udaipur, it is very near to Ghat, Jagannath tempki, city place, home like environment. Manager is very cooperative.

The guy (manager) who works in this hostel is not honest. We've confirmed the price of AC room in the Agoda. But he offered another room. He demanded additional charges. We want to meet a owner and talk directly, but we couldn't do that. We asked him for owner's phone number, but he didn't tell us. Be careful!

Located very close to places. Very difficult to find. Offers two wheeler parking. Very safe. Free Wi-Fi. Budget accommodation. Cars will have difficulty to reach this place. Good hospitality. Decent view from the terrace. Common seating area in every floor.

We stayed here for 3 days, great little place with very friendly staff, manager has great English and knows the area well. Close to Lake, City Palace, restaurants and shops. Great views from the rooftop and some rooms. As with most accommodation in india there is always room for upgrades and improvement. They don't supply sheets or towels, but I'm sure they could accommodate you if you requested. If your looking for a cheap place centrally located, with super friendly and helpful staff you have found it. I took a few in room 360 photos, as is. To give you a better idea of what to expect.

Good place homely beautiful udaipur style room. Breakfast possible and very friendly stuff!

Dangerous and dishonest place. First day the guy attending was instructing a host to do a false report to the police to get insurance money. They attempted to enter my room without consent after invading my privacy and sharing private info with other hosts doing idiotic comments and interrogating me about personal data that has nothing to do with renting a room. Cocroaches were sharing my room along with putrid mattresses and of course no bed sheets or towels. They also made me pay one night more when I had to leave to a friend's family house to scape from there. And of course they had me sitting half day of my travel to do my check in. Worse hostel experience in India, and I've spent around 3 years around the country, counting many travels.

Very nice place. We enjoyed the family's hospitality. Clean and perfect premises.
