Highly recommend Taj Fateh, one of the finest Palace hotels in the country.

Worst hotel experience, extremely disappointed
Room is dirty full of spiders and hair all over. No car parking available for in-house guests. Very poor service. We had great expectations with taj but it ruined our vacation.

A venerable Palace Hotel. We had a nice room with a great view on the lake. Friendly and helpful staff. Out Upon Eating.

A life spent in hotels has allowed me to define the perfect hotel. The standard of service, the amazing staff and a really comfortable bed and quiet room. This hotel defines what a 5 star hotel should be and how it is done. You must try it and see for yourself, and its in a great location.

Best property and food… Staff are very cooperative.

Visited this restaurant while on a tour of City Palace and its location is just perfect. Its better to visit here early morning since the sun is at your back and the lake shimmers beautifully with a view to remember. It happens only In India that the menu is displayed outside not to show the customers whats on offer but rather to deter those who would not want to spend so much at such an expensive restaurant. The service was excellent and the staff very helpful. We ordered one Cappuccino and one Mixed berry smoothie. The Cappuccino was your regular off the machine one and there is nothing special about it. However they laid out small snippets of Cookies which were excellent. The Mixed berry smoothie was quite refreshing and what made it better was the use of fresh berries. It is quite filling and works great for those who are looking to fill their tummies with lesser calories. They need to caution the Palace security guards outside who keep shouting at travellers to move on and provide unnecessary caution to have a look at the costly menu. Obviously this treatment is reserved only for Indians and not for Out of country guests whom they treat with humility expecting them to drop huge piles of Dollars as tip every now and then. Although, its more often than not that the Indian Traveller is splurging much more than the other travellers who are here primarily on a budget trip.

Wonderful place to stay. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Location is just great. Near the Lake. I also enjoyed Light and Sound Show in the evening and visit to the Palace for Museum was a great experience.

The palace hotel has a grand appearance, room sizes are large and it has a serene environment. Room amenities are truly luxury. A perfect traditional theme is found here and I will definitely come back again.

It's a palace converted to a hotel. We stayed in the dove Court room and the room was very nice. The view was amazing. The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous.

My stay at the FPP was brilliant! From the moment I stepped into the doors, the staff were polite and very welcoming. I had a lake view room, which was totally worth it-the views are really nice! Didn’t have dinner at the hotel but at the neighbouring Shiv Niwas and they kindly drove me there in the golf buggy. The view at breakfast at the Sunset Restaurant was amazing-I even had a drink here one day prior to dinner! The staff go beyond to ensure you have a great stay-I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

This Restaurant is inside City Palace on the Lake Side View. Also named as Sunset terrace. Its 400 metre walk from Sheetla mata gate of City Palace. Nice restaurant. Quite high priced. Jacob wine 150 ml costed me ₹650. My total bill was around ₹4750/ — in which we had 4 150 ml red wine. Then one starter of paneer tikka was around 700/ — then one very Less quantity Biryani for about 700 bucket more. Faces extra. Around ₹1000.00/ — was Tax itself. Doesnt seen to be at all like 5 star facility. Only thing is lake view and just in front of Lake Palace. Thats why one can throw the Money in drain. Only 3 item costed me around ₹5000. Which is very high.

If you get access to it, it gives a sneak into the royal lifestyle. Service as well as food are as good as it gets. I had typical Rajasthani thali, it was one of the best I have had. The waiters are patient, cooperative and informative. The location is beautiful with the whole hotel touching the beautiful large lake. I had the opportunity to go for a dinner but I believe that it will be equally if not more beautiful if you go in the day.

The hotel is one of the best amalgamation between old world charm and modern service the rooms resembles with that of the king huge carpets large polished mirrors and even a fountain in the rooms. The main attraction of the hotel is the magnificent crystal gallery which is one of the largest collection of 19 the century crystals. The only drawback is the approach for the hotel as the tiny streets outside are always full of traffic.

Rooms are good Food quality is average because some dashes are not satisfied as per test so please find other options for dinner.

Royalty at its best… Hospitality at its prime. The majesty of Durbar hall, The crazy grandeaur of the rooms are unmatched. Definitely a worthy stay if you wish to enjoy luxury in Udaipur. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience! Had a great time at the palace. Best design, architecture and may other things to watch! If you have 2 to 2.5 hour time than you can go there and enjoy the historical palace. Please take the guide and enjoy the palace.

Absolutely blissful place. All Glory to the Jagadishwar prabhu, The King & Queen of Mewar, that the palace could survive in its past glory with passage of time and we could get an opportunity to cherish it. Hence, I feel indebted to Write the review while enjoying the reflections on the Pichola lake water, of the beautifully decorated Jagmandir palace. Not to miss the nice classical music that enlivens the golden days of yester years being played on the occasion of some marriage function at Jagmandir. Lucky Girl… The attending staff, made my day, when he changed to the current suite (which one? That's a secret — :) Explore for yourself), when I asked for. Counting my blessings. One dream fulfilled. Somehow, I feel it is right thing to address FatehPrakash palace as Heritage stay, Rather than benchmark with some "Hotel". It's one thing to pay a visit to a palace, It's another to actually cherish the beautiful moments.

The Fateh Prakash Place (Heritage Hotel) is located on the eastern shores of Lake Pichola and near City Place Udaipur Excellent location and amazing architecture built by Maharana Fateh Singh.

No good doesn’t even feel like I was in a palace everything needs upgrading. Bad customer service. They stole money from my friends wallet and did nothing about it but very quick to give the bill upon check out. Fridge wasn’t stocked when we checked in and the heater wasn’t working and we had two little ones. Food menu wasn’t at all great. Could never get through to reception or in room dining every time it was busy. It’s written 5 star but the service defiently was not at all 5 star more like 1 or 2 star accomodation. Worst experience, service I have ever come across. Would definitely not recommend anyone to stay here. The only good thing about it was the view outside my room that’s pretty much it.

Very welcoming and the view of the lake can't be beat. Waitstaff are welcoming and attentive. Having a pass to the royal grounds is another plus. Rooms could possibly use some updating but otherwise nice.

The location of the hotel is just perfect, the best of the city! Indeed, from the room you enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Pichola, which makes the visit magical. We had the chance to enjoy a room with a panoramic view of the latter, it was superb. It was also large and clean. It is also nice to enjoy the tranquility of the place, the area being closed to the public not paying, the hotel situated in the "city Palace", historical area of the city.
Only small remark: we were first placed in a very small room with a mini window and blue plates glued all over the walls, a little creepy. This one does not correspond at all to our reservation, we immediately asked to change. The staff was very responsive and so put us in another room much better.
Room Tip: ask for a lake view room! Otherwise, you lose a big advantage of this establishment…

The suite is exquisite, but the normal rooms are okey. But the views from the rooms are breath-taking.

Visited only the restaurant. Very very very bad service. Expected a very good experience, but was utterly disappointed. Menu wasn't good enough. Food that was in the menu was good. The view was great. Basically we go to restaurants like this for good experience, but I was disappointed.

Had such a great visit to the palace, one of the must-see of udaipur. Such a beautiful place, recommend doing it with your bf/gf and better do it before closing time because its normally crowded.

The City Palace is built on hilltop so as to provide a panoramic view of whole city along with its surroundings such as the Lake Palace, Jag Mandir, Monsoon Palace and the Neemach Mata Mandir Wow Super place.

Beautiful property… Beautiful suite. Amazing service… the property is huge and the view from the hotel is epic. U can see Taj lake palace from the room!

Premier suites are palatial. Views of the lake are phenomenal. The sunset Terrace restaurant is ideally placed and has exceptional food.

Rooms are very well kept. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Breakfast is lavish and the terrace where it is laid is most beautiful.

City palace is a good place to see in udaipur.
