Excellent hotel. We've been there at the end of March 2018 for 2 nights. They picked us at the airport FOR FREE with a very efficient driver. We choosed the rooms with A/C, clean, confortable, quiet, private bathroom, with direct view on the Fortress. The building itself is welcoming even if it is located a little out of the center (5 min. Walking — 10 min. To the Fortress), very nice facade. It has a roof top where is the restaurant, 360° overview on the city and the Fortress. Amazing. Services are excellent with very friendly staff. After speaking with the owner Manu about our project to visit Rajasthan, he offered us his own car with one of his driver. The car was perfect and the driver Anu, a gentleman. Driving safe, always taking care about us. Incredible to know he was a camel driver before joining Manu at Pol Haveli. Both had plenty of good suggestions for us. We spent a whole week with Anu and went to Jodhpur, Udaipur, Pushkar and Jaipur. We always felt safe. Don't hesitate to choose Hotel Pol Haveli. It's worth knowing it and it's people.

Everything is just awesome about this hotel, you just need to contact Mr Manu and rest he will take care of all your needs. He arranged nice desert camp for us … roof top restaurant is also nice with a proper view of whole city.

This is an amazing place while planning your stay in Jaisalmer. I alongwith my four friends visited this place in first week of January and we were all awestruck with the kind of hospitality we received. Our first impression of the place was little disappointing but as things went by we realized that we could not have got anything better in our budget. The manager of the havelli is very welcoming. The rooms were reasonably priced and were very clean and spacious. However we faced a little water shortage due to unexpected load shedding that day. We also booked non touristing desert safari through our hotel only and paid 3600 INR for 4 of us but it was all worth it. Desert safari was the best deal of our trip. We got food, drinks, bonfire, camel ride, amazing view of sunset all for just 900 bucks inclusive of your road trip from hotel to sand dunes which is around 40kms one way. All in all I would say if you are looking for some traditional experiences this place is worth the stay. The staff there is very cooperative and amazing. The terrace of the hotel is like a cherry on the cake. My friends were particularly pleased by the manager Mannu bhai who is an extremely sweet person.

Built over a sewage drain and the smell permeates the entire 2 storey building and into the rooms. Place is thronged by dopers and foreigners who are on shoe string budget. Yet the room rent is quite high.

Excellent is the only word for Hotel Pol Haveli, Owner Manu and his Team. We travelled as a Family. PROS: Extremely warm and personalised welcome. Beautiful interiors, tastefully decorated rooms and common areas. Comfortable and authentic rooftop Rajasthani restaurant with Majestic View of the fort. You feel like sitting at the restaurant the whole day. Warm Bonfire in the evening. Delicious home made food, made to order even if they do not have any particular dish on the menu. You just tell them and they will cook it right away. Location is very near to all the major landmarks and tourist spots. You can walk down to almost all the place including the Fort and the main market. It feels very safe and comfortable in there. You can see lot of families and solo foreigners (females) there. Since the road for parking was narrow, entire team of 6 people came over to help me, despite the fact that I did not asked them for any help. All of them came over and started helping me from each and every nook and corner :) The owner Manu, is instrumental in making sure that each and every guest gets personalised attention and he keeps on checking with all the guests if they are comfortable and if there is anything else that he can help with. He takes great pride in his own personalised touch to the service and he successfully does it. If I ever go to Jaisalmair again, without a second thought, will go to Pol Haveli. Thank you Manu and team, for such a wonderful experience.

Rooms are ordinary but location is excellent. Fort and Havelis are walkable from the hotel. The owner Manu is a helpful guy and dropped us to railway station in the night. The rooftop area is comfortable and the food is decent. The major flipside is that rooms are very basic with no TV.

Great lunch on nice rooftop with Fort view. Superfriendly and accommodating staff. If we had additional time we would have returned for another meal.

Actually a good hotel for backpackers…

Like this hotel, the staff service and the food very much! The roof top cafe provides nice view on the Jaisalmer fort. Besides, situated in a village, it is not so crowded and chaotic. You can spend a whole afternoon chilling at the roof top cafe with comfortable seat and breezy wind.

Although the staff is very nice and the food Is good, I do not recommend this place as a guesthouse. The owner charged us literally double price for a simple, overnight desert safari. There were also many mistakes in our bill when we checked out. Nothing too serious, but it's not fun to go over you're order list and discover that the price for a dish is different from what the menu says. Lots of room for improvement for this place.

Beautiful rooms with hot shower and comfortable beds. I recommend taking the room where the bed goes between the windows on three sides. Also very friendly owner and chef (Manu & Khan). And, one of the best rooftop views from their restaurant. Khan's Indian food is good but he has room for improvement on his Western & Middle Eastern food (pizza and shakshuka were underwhelming)
