Property is old
Property location is poor, views are way too bad. Even a 2 or 3 star property in shimla is providing better views. Pool area was not operational, we understand that its because of govt guidelines, but the area was way too dirty that we couldn’t even sit around the pool on table alongside. No view at all from lawn area as well. The whole theme, aura, or surrounding was so dull. We booked 2 nights, but didn’t want our anniversary in such a dull, old and depressing place that we requested for 2nd day’s cancellation. But the Staff was of no use. We shared our concern with one of the managers Vikram about partial booking cancellation, he said he will get back in 5 mins but he didn’t show up at all and after 2 hours of waiting and continuous follow ups, we got to know that he has left for the day. This is not expected from Radisson. After spending so much time the next day, Manager Chaman Sharma agreed to the cancellation, and asked us to get the cancellation process approval from MMT started, we got that started but now Radisson isn’t approving the cancellation. I am not sure what’s going on. I booked radisson for the first time, and had a pathetic experience with hotel, aura, property, staff, process, cleanliness. Radisson is all time blacklisted for me and I am never gonna recommend it to anyone. Suggestion to Radisson team is, stop calling this particular property as 5 star, its not even worth 2 star.

Highly professional staff, security guards, room service, receptionist and their service with smile and warmth is something which adds to the great experience of staying here, only and only downside is food prices in the menu are very expensive (a biriyani for 800). Other than that the stay, the view and service is all exceptional. Loved the stay there.

In winters also, they are very obstinate in check in timings of 2 pm despite of availability of rooms. Not offering complimentary early checkin and generally ask for Rs 4000 for early checkin. Not satisfied on booking this property.

The hotel staff service is poor. If you are sitting at restaurant then staff would be least bothered about ur requirements. Infact just for the glass of water you need to call them 4 or 5 times. Food is also not very good. Its ok kinda. The hotel is situated at beautiful place but services means a lot… not worth to spent too much.

Stayed at the hotel this Saturday 25th May. The staff is very nice and courteous especially the girl who checked us out from room no 1104 on 26th May. I am mentioning her especially because she made me feel comfortable when I had to wait in the lobby for work and it was for quite sometime. Happy guests!

Love to hangout in this place, excellent service, supperrvvv location, the best food in shimla I ever had, overall love this place.

One of the best hotels in Shimla though can't match other Radisson hotels in terms of space and gorgeous looks. Rooms are okey tile though we booked superior room overlooking Gorge and Tibet market not that much spacious room and toilet. Other standard amenities are available but food quality needs improvement. Breakfast quality mainly South Indian dishes were need huge improvement in term of taste. Actually it should not dishes without expertise. This hotel is like bhulbhulaiya type and you need help to find out reception if you stay in c block or reach restaurant. Interior is good in line with HP culture. Overall good hotel with a higher tariff.

Good place to visit and stay. Very close to the mall road and therefore very close to the heart of the city. Food is above average but the salads are extremely good. Recommended.

Beautiful and very clean rooms with spectacular view from window. All the amenities of tea and coffee with mini bar is provided in the room itself. From the mall road it's a walkable distance, though one need to climb some stairs and bit of steep climb. Staff is very courteous, kind and proactive. We even got spa done which was very relaxing after a long drive. Food is absolutely delicious. Overall a must stay and the most recommended hotel in Shimla.

It is a 5 star hotel in Shimla. So nothing much to explain. Service is awesome. Room are hygienic. Food is very tasty n full of variety. It's located near mall road.

Visited this hotel in December 2013. We arrived in late evening when it was not snowing. But there was snow fall in night. Beauty of this hotel in snow and outside view from the room was mesmerising. Snow being fresh it enhanced beauty of this hotel. Reception lobby and rooms and dining areas are at different levels and location (because hilltops location). Hotel is well furnished and decorated. Food and service were good. There was cake with welcome message before we checked in the room. View of valley from the room was good.

I booked two rooms for 1 night at Radisson, Shimla and it was so strange that they asked for full payment at checkin even when I had paid full amount online. They kept asking for the money, while making a lot of excuses. It took too much time for them to confirm the payment was done or not. Firstly they asked for full payment in cash even after receiving it online. Then, after sometime they said "you have to pay half the amount in cash". After a huge argument, they admit that payment was received through online. So this was a clear case of trying to trap the customer and asking for money which was already paid. So based on the above facts, my experience was pretty bad.

Loved the time spent here. Stay has been good. Service has been quick n upto mark. Food is tasty but can add more variety to it… overall had great stay.
The biggest drawback is it's far from Mall Road so mostly u have to walk else take ur car and park it at the Mall Road.
If u wanna relax away from noise it's good to stay & have spa.

The hotel was under renovation so the restaurant had been moved to a conference room. It was very cold, as was the rest of the hotel. Our room also never really warmed up, as it was a damp type of cold and the heating was off once you left the room. There was no heating in the bathroom. The hotel is spread over many levels, making it impractical if you have any mobility issues. It is not a five star hotel. It is in a good location.

The property location is ok but der was no view of Shimla as it always happen in 5star hotels. Der was no terrace. Swimming pool of no use as der is no heating equipment… dat is to lure customers. Der was no kids room. No other activity in hotel just go and stay in ur room. Toiletries was not der … provided when asked. The only thing we Lyked was beautiful rooms spacious. And food was also good. Staff is average. Few are good. Overall it’s good but by upto 5star hotel.

Very helpful and courteous staff. The infrastructure needs to be upgraded. Constantly we had to ask for heating to be switched on, hot water was a problem.

High price doesn’t mean high quality. Positive: food was great, view is amazing. Negative: the check in was so slow, probably the slowest check in we’ve ever had; and no other guests but us at the time of check in. Hospitality is bad; we asked about where and how to rent a bike in Shimla to the receptionist and they didn’t even make an effort or catch a breath to think; they straightaway said “We are not aware of that. ” I asked them if it’s normal for people to rent a bike here (coz I read from the internet. ) and they said yes; but they just didn’t want to give any information regarding that matter. I’m not sure if it’s a liability issue or they’re just simply not informative. I mean; come on, we depend on local to know this kind of information. The hotel itself is really old. I would not recommend to stay here; it’s so expensive for an unfriendly old hotel.

We had a marvelous stay in Shimla at the Radisson Hotel. Wonderful interiors, very good service and some excellent dining too.

In Shimla, location matters. And Radisson is awkwardly located. Took me some time trying to exit the hotel due to the narrow road outside. Inadequate parking space another drawback. Lack of complimentary breakfast despite a tidy some charged for premium room is also a drawback.
Room was very roomy. The view was excellent. Food was very good. Service was good. Front desk staff was helpful.

I am in Radisson shimla right now along with my cousins (11 people) we booked 5 rooms. The hotel is spacious, neat and clean. In room dining is also good. But the air conditioning is not working at all.
Despite complaining again and again nothing happened. A technician did came to check the AC but after checking he told us this the best it can work and all of us are sweating Neither the AC is cooling nor there is air flow. In case you wish to visit shimla do consider that their AC don't work despite us booking 5 roomsZ.

Excellent and enjoyable stay, Many thanks to the general manager for making my stay very comfortable. Superb service from everyone, very friendly, outstanding food. The staff could not have been more helpful. Incredible views, comfortable beds. One recommendation would be that the management provide short instructions in the rooms on how to operate the TV and access the appropriate channels. Not everyone is going to be able to work it out without asking for help. Also be aware that Wifi vouchers are valid for 24hrs after which you will need another one. Be aware this hotel, as many of them are, is on three or more levels and there is only a lift at present in block A (3 floors). To go from rooms in Block A to restaurant in Block B requires 77 steps. Also be aware that at present the bar/cafe in block b is closed for renovation and block C (which does have a lift is also undergoing renovation but is due to open shortly). Also be aware that there was construction work (soon to be completed) in Block C which was disturbing sometimes to people staying in the other part of the hotel. Access to the swimming pool at the bottom of block C requires also quite a number of steps. Please remember to tip the staff because they really do a wonderful job.

Of all the hotels in stayed in on this trip this is the best food is good, room very clean and the staff very professional. Today after a long day we got back to the hotel and was very hunger it was only 6pm and the restaurant did not open until 7pm but our water Sumit ask the Sheff if we could dine early and it was not a problem. We ordered our meal and Sheff Rajeev Bhardwa came out and talk with us. This is good customer care.

Pathetic experience, 20 years old lift open pool which anyone can't use, Wi-Fi not working properly, TV is hanging every 30 seconds, worst experience on hills on the name of brand.

Beyond the more formal gardens are vegetable gardens, a "bird zone" and a couple of ponds, the whole lot forming an oasis in the city. For those interested in wildlife, we saw some good birds and a mongoose on our early morning prowl. To sum up, best hotel, best sleep, good food and pretty good wildlife.
