Beautiful hotel. Its a complete package hotel. Ut has lift till mall road. Live guitar music in evenings. Awesome bakery. Attentive staff. Awesome rooms. Also room and its restaurants offers beautiful view of shimla. Thankyou for making our trip memorable.

Their diligence, attention and superb food in the restaurant. Also their absolute honesty when my friend left her credit card after paying the evening meal, they had apparently run out after us but didn't know which way we'd gone but looked after it until 4.30pm the next day when she realised it was missing. We did a lot of searching and retracing of steps! Thanks so much to all the staff.

I often stay here and I believe it’s the best hotel in Shimla and everything is excellent and the staff is very friendly and it’s perfect for families friends and it’s just perfect. I love it.

Location is very good. Mall road is the main place to visit. And hotel is on mall road. Food is good. So many options os food. Service is good.

Must say a good and very convenient stay in Shimla. Very accessible to Mall Road with separate lift. Has got great cafe & bar. Rooms are bigger than you would expect in this area. Courteous staff. Overall a great stay!

The Combermere has been my preferred hotel at Shimla for the last couple of times. I like the location of this hotel. Easy access to the Mall and to the access roads is something few other hotels can offer. Rooms are good. I would like to see some upgrades to and 'Colors' in the room. Food options are good with room service, two restaurants and a Lounge bar. A well equipped gym is a great option to have especially on longer visits. Where I would like to see some change is to the support extended by the reception. Some work is required in this area. Recommend the hotel and the restaurants. Views from the hotel room facing the valley appear better than others.

The staff was extremely rude and terribly unprofessional. Inspite of booking the suite and paying a heavy tariff the service was the worst I have never seen such a local cheap hotel. Even the toilet paper was not refilled by the cleaning staff. Reception staff was socially untrained and rude. The delux room were better than the suite. Hated every minute here. I strongly reccomend against this hotel. Prefer willow bank or clarks. There location is as good and the hotels are way better in terms of staff and service.

Really nice place, one of my all time favourite places to be in Shimla. The best part is that they have their own separate lift. Rooms and the food is amazing.

My all time favorite whenever I am in Shimla. Nice ambience, excellent food. Live ghazals create the perfect mood for the evening. Always carry shawl or jacket if you want to sit outside as its generally always cold.

It's a really nice hotel. Nice bars and a cafe in top. Gym and spa is also there. And if you love playing pool you can.

Lovely rooms available for your stay. Good service. You can go to the mall road directly without waiting for hours in the queue down the lift tower. In the evening you can go to the cafe for a cup of coffee and enjoy it. In the morning you can enjoy your breakfast with the scenic beauty of shimla… All the places are easy to reach from the hotel. Enjoyed my stay there… Had a great time…

This review is for restaurant only. They claim they make Mexican. We ordered Burrito. The taste was nowhere close to burrito. If u dont know how to make it, dont offer. Stick to what you know.

Good for one to two days stay. Property is nice. Staff are very friendly. Food is good. But prices are a little bit high. Situated at right place is additional plus point.

Best hotel location wise. Special feature is their own lift that allows easy travel between upper Simla and Lower Simla. Clean and comfortable rooms with splendid view. Good food through amazing in-house restaurants. A little expensive but worth it when you want to pamper yourself.

Good place for small parties in a hill station. Food was good, live music in restaurant bar added to the charm. Just know that unlike the metro cities the live music stops @ 10pm & last order is @ 11pm.

Nice to stay. Near mall road having own lift is a great benefit to reach mall road. No need to wait for public lift.

The place is easily accessible as soon as you enter Shimla. They have their own lifts but not their own parking. But their main entrance to lift is near to a common parking area. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Their restaurants are good and serve great food. Located on the main Mall Road which is a great plus.

Combermere is centrally located Hotel. It has it's own elevator to reach out from lower Parking area (lift area) to Mall Road. Hotel is grand and beautiful. Restaurant is good and offer high quality Food. Highly recommendable for Family /Couple tourists.

It was really a memorable experience. The hotel is very nice with all 4 star facilities. It is adjacent with mall. You should stay over there.

The best part of the hotel is its location. If you are looking for a good neat clean hotel conveniently located near mall you could consider it. The parking is a bit of challenge but if you are a guest they will accommodate you. The food is just fine and ordinary. But staying here you can enjoy the hustle bustle of the mall and an early morning stroll to the ridge and church at a time when it is not so crowded. The view form room is not so great. You can enjoy sitting outside on the terrace adjacent to bar and restaurant, but beware of monkeys (quite unpredictable as they will appear suddenly out of nowhere)

First of all it's located in the top of the mall road in shimla. The view and ambience is very good and you can see the whole city in full of lights from the place where we sat. The taste of food was good but it was very expensive. There was also a live music concert while we were dining. I just loved this place.

One of the beautiful and largest hotel in shimla and the best part is opposite to famous shimla lift. More than 8 storey building with multiple open places and restaurant. For me it is THE best place to be in the heart of shimla market and with all the feature of 5 star at the same time. Only concern is Public car park is bang opposite to the hotel but that is slightly expensive.

Few things I keep in mind while booking a hotel. 1 — Room Type 2 — Food 3 — Cleanliness 4 — Staff behavior 5 — Location And this hotel got everything, yes Everything. •The room was super nice and clean. •Cleanliness was upto the mark. •Staff were very gentle and polite. •For location, I give 10/10 as it has it's own lift connecting to mall road. • Food :: I had breakfast, pizza, wine and pasties. — Breakfast was super good — Pizza wasn't really good and the size of the pizza was really small considering the price. — Desserts : You can't have better desserts at any other place than this. Overall I give 10/10 to this hotel ❤️

It is a lovely place to stay. Nice and helpful staff. Excellent food! excillent ambience. Lovely glass lift for easy transport. Courtaeous staff! worth staying. I came from Delhi stayed for 4 days it was worth it.

Disgusting hotel with pathetic management and unacceptable behaviour on part of staff. Stayed there for 2 nights and at the time of checking out the staff was blaming us with rubbish allegations regarding their missing small red ribbon (use as bed cover). I told them to confirm from their own staff whether they put it or not because I didn't saw any ribbon at the time of check in. But after some time he said that their staff was also confused regarding that rubbish red ribbon. How irresponsible behaviour on their part I was surprised. At last I don't forget to mention that rooms was stinky and the taps were not working properly. They ruined my whole trip.

Everything is well organised. Right from the check-in staff to the housekeeping, they are well trained, behave in mannered way. Location is also awesome… but the only thing I am gonna give them 1 star is coz of parking problem… I checked into the hotel on 22/6/16 around 7:30PM… driver took the car from me and parked… and I checked out from hotel on 24/6/16 around 7:30AM. And driver got back the car for me… I kept the luggage and found few discrepancies. 1. My USB drive was missing. 2. I usually keep some chewing gums in my car, which they might have had (but that's okay) and the wrappers of them were lying with the statue of God in the car. And some on the econometer. 3. Car seats were reclined (other than the driver's seat) as if somebody had a nice sleep in the car.

Best place for those who want to stay right on the mall road. Good food… many restaurants… though a bit expensive…

Guys, I would Not recommend this hotel to any one. Their staff in restaurant don't have manners to behave with customers. They asked my family to leave the table and no other table was available. We have to Move out for dinner with family in search of food at 10:30. And they don't have a word of apology… they can do with anyone… It was a shame for me to stay their.

Nice place to stay on the mall. Restaurant is also cool. However the rates are quite high.

Terrible Experience — Four of us (2 rooms through make my trip) stayed at this hotel from 16th-18th April 2016. 1) Starting from the receptionist (a bald man) who is one among the most discourteous man I had ever come across. While asked for hotel car parking, he mocks at us saying it's not their responsibility. Not a welcome or basic courtesy rather a grouchy faced man with such an attitude that he let us carry our own luggage until a hotel boy came for help. 2) Even when we had displayed the card outside to clean our room while we went out, they had left the room as it is. 3) They didn't replace water or bath towels for the next two days as well. 4) Food was nothing great. The morning buffet hardly have any healthy choices. Even the a-la-carte dishes that we ordered for dinner wasn't tasting great. Some dishes weren't well done. Half boiled rice and hard to chew chicken. 5) And to all those who book the hotel through make my trip package, please make sure not to include dinner in the package because the hotel will limit your order choices. Every time we ordered a dish which we want to try on, the hotel was like "sorry sir, that cannot be included or try some other dishes" From my experience, I have no clue why this hotel rates itself as a 4 star hotel because the facilities don't match anything more than a 2 star. The quality is no way comparable to that of a 4 star and such discourteous service will never yield anything better for them.

Has a great location with great food, offers live music and is a good place to stay in.

Comfortable hotel. The lift takes you up to the mall road. The rooms are clean. Just one downside is that there is no Air conditioner in the room.

Comfortable rooms, good hospitality, Great food & drinks. The mall lift is just adjacent to the hotel which makes the mall easily accessible. The vehicle parking is just below the hotel. Over all good value for the price.

Hotel's parking is worse. I kept my camera and phone's charger inside car and next day I saw both the things were stolen.

We stayed in hotel for 3 nights and feel quality work by hotel staff and food was also excellent and delicious. Rooms are full with all luxuries and givs u almost 5-star feel. Highly recommended to others.
