Wild Chalet Resort

The hotel was horrible, no maintenance of the property at all, very poorly managed with an incompetent manager and equally callous senior management who play blame game against each other, inadequate staff strength with no proper training given to them. It was an extremely pathetic experience for me which ruined my holiday totally.
The hotel head office miscommunicated right from the time of booking. The lady named Vartika, whose number was mentioned in the MMT booking receipt had miscommunicated about the power back-up facility. Please don't trust her words she doesn't have any clue about the facilities available at the hotel. In MMT listing the hotel claims to have a bar, whereas no bar could be seen in my visit, rather they have put up a board of alcohol consumption is prohibited. The entire MMT listing of this hotel (pictures power back-up, on-call doctor, bar etc. ) is a farce and please don't believe it. What I came to know from local people that this hotel was closed till Nov'22, right from the time of lockdown in 2020 and has just opened without being prepared to host guests.
Though people generally write Pros and Cons, but unfortunately I will have to reverse the order for this hotel in my review based on my horrible experience.
Cons:
1. No power back-up with very frequent power cuts all throughout the day. Guests will be given candles to spend the entire evening sitting in the dark.
2. No supervision from the senior management.

I visited this place with my parents last week. The resort is right next to the Banjar river. Lovely location. But the owners seem to have no interest in the upkeep of it. Flush wasn’t working and neither was the shower. The room was full of crickets and even a tiny frog. There is just one person for housekeeping it seems and he’s not very trained. Food and tea is delayed by 30-40 mins each time. The entry to the place is muddy and messy. The walkway to the river is made of mud so had become totally slippery due to the rain. There is no community place to sit and spend time with family except ur room. Agreed that in monsoon places in the jungle can become tough to maintain but this one was bad. Such a shame that such a pretty location is being wasted.

I just loved the mesmerizing view. One can hear the sound of running water which is very soothing and relaxing. Perfect place to rejuvenate yourself. Staff is nice and helpful, they share their experience and stories and take complete care of your comfort. Food was nice. One can see elephant around 4pm in the evening. And other animals can also be seen. One thing I will suggest is do not go to river and try swimming in river as there are crocodile in the river. Rest place is close to heaven. 😊

We stayed here on all our trips to kanha national park. Ghanshyam ji and his staff are very helpful. Food is awesome (do try their local cuisine). Rooms are decent. Hotel is next to river bed hence bird lovers will love this place. Lots of birds from wagtails, flycatchers, pipits to jungle owlet all are present in premises. We were group of 7ppl stayed here for 2 nights 3 days and enjoyed our stay and will love to come back again :)

We stayed at the resort during our visit to Kanha and it was an extremely pleasant experience. We were an all ladies group. We were welcomed with warmth, respect and utmost care was taken of all our needs. The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The food was excellent (sp thanks to Shyam the cook) and at times made as per our choice. The housekeeping staff was always ready to help. The servers were all respectful and caring. Mr Ghanshyam at the reception did his utmost to cater to all our needs. The location of the resort is so beautiful with the river flowing almost on our doorsteps. I highly recommend this resort to everyone.
