Awesome Ambiance and delicious food.

Hotel Lake view ashoka is the worst hotel.
it has a policy of not giving rooms to people with local ID.
I called up the hotel and asked if we can get a room for 3 people to party and a lake view suite or whatever the best room possible.
after all the confirmation … the hotel guy said we do not let the rooms to the residents of bhopal.
it's their policy.
it's a very. Bad image now lake view ashoka have made.
I am not gona recommend this hotel with policy. Which looks down on the local people of bhopall…
overall a really bad experience and gona put out negative review of this wherever possible…
wether I am gona recommend any hotel to any guest but gona ask to put out from ur prefence list.

Whenever I am in Bhopal, Hotel Ashok is always a place to visit. I visit THUS often for its vibe, view and food. Staff is courteous and makes your time a worthwhile to spend.

Good in service! Nice infrastructure and well maintained greeny outside.! Every room has a view of lake which gives peace of mind and also they have amazing snacks love to visit again.

I was at the Bhopal Express restaurant and that place has goneb from one the best to bad. The ambience is still great, how the food quality is poor, the choices are limited. The place is definitely a one time go for the experience of the in train dinning, hope it improves it's food quality.

The food is very nice. Smoking area is separated from the dinner area. The view of lake is really very good.

The location is awesome you get the view of Bhopal's Upper lake and the staff is courteous. The bar is not well stocked and the food is average at max. Visit just for the magestic scenery.

Awesome view from the hotel. Rooms are good… illumination in rooms is bloomy… all over the hotel ramps are available thus it is convinient for wheelchair… location is excellent… various facilities available at the hotel.

Hotel run by MP Tourism Corporation. One of the finest in Bhopal. Gives you a breathtaking view of Bhopal's Big Lake. Good dining and bar for hangouts. Also houses the unique train restaurant where food is served inside a luxurious train wagon.

The restaurant is very good with a very nice ambience and an excellent service. Rooms and room services are very good. And the food is delicious with fish as its specialty.

It was good. The food and the drinks were nice. Specially the ambience is the one thing that you should go for there. The beautiful scene you get from their balcony is priceless.

It is a Govt. Hotel (joint venture of central and state govt. ). Managed reasonably good. Good place for arranging marriages, big events with around 50 nos of good furnished rooms. A beautiful lake view from each room.

Denied a room on grounds of being a local resident, refused to show reservation rules. And the hotel staff kept mentioning that they have the right to reservation.
If any one has any idea abouts rules of hotel reservation for locals in bhopal please enlighten me.

Great place! The Shan-e-Bhopal Rail railway station themed restaurant (they got an actual Indian Railways coach and built a restaurant inside it. ) is impressive!

Nice view, pretty decent breakfast for Indian standards. Good luck getting hot water though. The beds are clean, but the room looks like it's put together with spare parts and by blind masons.

The view is fantastic as all rooms look over the lake. The rooms do need to be kept better as they are in urgent need of a massive upgrade. The food is fantastic especially the Shan e Bhopal restaurant which serves you food in a train bogie.

Had to change the room from the bottom most floor due to the stale smell and unfresh air. Rooms higher up might be better as the room I got next on 2nd floor was fresher. Yet only 3 star std. Tv cable not working properly. Ac not working properly. Lights r too dim. No hot water in shower n tap. View is great of the lake. Breakfast is good. View from restaurant is amazing.

This hotel looks good from the outside, but the rooms have this stale smell in them, service is horrible. No health faucet in the bathroom, lcd tvs dont exist here. Very ill maintained hotel. Door fixtures, window corners peeling. Pls dont go thinking it looks like a palace, its more like a lodge from within. But ya, the food is awesome. Full like.
