Landmark Hotels,Haflong

We visited in late-March, and the weather was perfectly pleasant. The property itself is quite beautiful, blending a classic British charm with all the modern amenities you’d need. Our room was spacious, featuring a cozy, comfortable bed and a direct view over the lake. To top it off, the staffs were incredibly polite and helpful, and the complementary breakfast offered a great variety with more than three different options.

Location was good and all the staff were very polite and quick to respond. But there is no backup during power out. Food was good. Rooms can be made more beautiful and can have more maintenance. Overall nice place to stay.

Hotel Landmark is located in a convenient area near Haflong Lake, which is one of the main attractions of the town. The location is definitely a positive aspect, as guests can easily access the lake and enjoy the surrounding area. It is at a walkable distance to the circuit house which gives good view of the hills around.
However, our overall experience at the hotel was not good. The rooms are old-fashioned and poorly maintained. Illumination inside the room is insufficient. Considering the high room tariff, the amenities provided are not up to the mark. The pricing does not justify the quality of facilities offered.
We arrived at around 11:00 p. M. But the main gate of the hotel was locked. We had to wait for nearly 20 minutes before we could contact someone to open it. There is no proper 24-hour reception service, which caused inconvenience, especially during late-night arrival.
Room size is ok for two persons but we booked online for the persons with higher tariff and we were given the same room with one additional mattress. The condition of the mattress was not good as can be seen in the picture. Cleanliness is acceptable but not top notch like other hotels at this price.

Rooms are slightly wear and tear but rest all services are fabulous and I love their hospitality.

We had a very good stay there. Rooms were neat and clean. Food was awesome. I will strongly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful and old hotel in Haflong main town. Food is the best. The rooms are old but nostalgic. Parking available. Staff are good.

Worst stay ever. Owner must monitor how it is running and serving guests. Infrastructer needs to be repaired and maintained. Blanket cover was torn and not clean. Stuffs are not easily available to serve. Ambience needs care and proper gardener to মাকে it feel like hotel not bhoot bunglow in the midst of jungle.

Najma and her caring and hardworking crew took very good care of us. The facility needs new mattresses. The mattresses were sagging in all 5 rooms.

A old property with colonial charm facing the famous Haflong lake. Though the property is located in a very good and therapeutic place but it needs maintenance now and food quality also to be improved.

Well maintained and clennlyness are good well services I really happy to visited in land mark hotel.

Be given extra care to keep the quality of amenities more appreciate with the category and price.

Rooms — Rooms are ok but poorly mainatined. Termite infestation rampant across the property. Rooms are not cleaned or mainatined. Some bulbs dont work. Floorboards are broken. Doors dont close properly. And there is dampness in the room due to which they smell. One customer complained about red stains in the sheets and he was told to adjust since the staff couldnt take out such stains during washing. And he was told that since he checked into the room he was not eligible for a change of sheets. Even though we booked rooms well in advance, we were one room category was not available.   Our bathroom had a stink which didnt go even with the exhaust on the whole time.
Food — Mostly the food is average and expensive. The paid tea is good but the one in the complimentary breakfast buffet can hardly be called tea. Chicken was consistenly hard and undercooked. Pork was hard and probably very old. Puris were very thick and not good. For our toddler, we ordered an aloo paratha for breakfast well in advance. And we paid for it. Yet the receptionist ordered us not to eat in the restaurant as other customers might want it too. The item is in the ala cart menu yet she told us do what you want I wont serve it to you unless you eat in your room. Other customers ordered omlettes from the ala carte menu and were served in the restaurant without any issue. Had a big argument regarding this. Chinese items have no taste at all.

Although a low-cost hotel, more can be done to improve the quality of service, including replacing old towels and ensuring new toiletries are made available. The quality of breakfast and overall aesthetics of the environment can be improved.

The light inside the Luxury Room is very insufficient, the telephone is not working, we are staying in the Luxury Room.
